I hope those who are stateside had a lovely Thanksgiving and that you are enjoying a four day weekend! We ate entirely too much food but enjoyed our time with the children and Royals. We avoided the holiday shopping crowds and are spending the weekend decorating for Christmas. We finished season one of Stranger Things and have begun season two. I am addicted, but hubby cannot manage more than 2 episodes of anything back to back. Binger, he is not ..LOL  I did some Christmas shopping from the comfort of my home. I managed to get those must-have gifts, and we will venture out next week for in-store purchases. We like to go during the work week, and then enjoy a nice dinner out. Be sure and hop the Black Friday Book Bonanza to win books, gift cards and more! You will find the link in the sidebar and below. As always Stay Caffeinated!

Happy Thanksgiving Kimberly. I’m glad to read you had a great time. I sure loved seeing all those pretty Thanksgiving celebration pictures on social media from everyone. Black Friday looks crazy though. Good to hear you didn’t join.. It looks dangerous! LOL! 😉 Our Christmas decorations are coming up in a week or two. I can’t wait!
Have a great week and happy reading!

The four day weekend was much needed! I avoided the in-store shopping crowds as well…I’m not big on the holidays, in part because of how many jerks I meet on a daily basis just going out to get groceries. I avoid them whenever possible and do most of my shopping online. My mom has started decorating this week as well.

I hope you have a fantastic week!

It sounds like you had a great Thanksgiving with family 🙂 it’s not a holiday here, but Black Friday sales have started to become a thing the past few years. Usually I wouldn’t indulge, but I couldn’t resist some online shopping this time. The parcel delivery guy is going to get sick of coming to our house!

I’ve been watching The Punisher on Netflix (and am quite stunned I’ve not finished it yet!) Some things I can watch for hours, but others I take a while to savour (or they’re a lot to handle and I need breaks lol).

I did all my shopping online too. This is a great time in history when we dont have to brave the cold and long lines to get a good deal. Lol! I hope you enjoy your shopping trips out and dinner when you do go.
    Have a great week!

Sounds like you’re well organised for Christmas!

I really like the sound of the TBR challenge for next year. I’ll be keeping a close eye on that one.

  6. Chloe

My boyfriend is American so he celebrated thanksgiving with his Dad but unfortunately I was unable to go. You sound super organised for Christmas already!!! I’m also thinking of watching Stranger Things with my boyfriend because we’ve heard such amazing things about it but we have started watching Sons of Anarchy so not sure yet…

Hope you have a great week 🙂 xo

Oh my goodness, aren’t you organised? I’m afraid I haven’t begun to THINK sensibly about Christmas, though I must get around to doing to soon. I expect we will also be doing a lot of our shopping online, but we are cutting back bigtime this year as times are hard and show no signs of getting easier… I’m glad you had such a lovely family-based Thanksgiving and hope the coming week is a good one:) My Sunday Post

I stayed at my apartment in Cleveland this year cause I have an audiology appointment Dec 5 and I did not want to travel 10 hours each way 4 times. I read a lot and found out I could understand audiobooks and that tickled me pink.

We had a nice Thanksgiving, glad to hear you did too. I managed to finish up my shopping other than a few stocking stuffers, and little things. Hope you have a great week!

Quiet weeks are always nice! I didn’t really add boos to my palate this week either, but still acquired some pretty awesome bookish goodies! And did a HUGE chunk of my Christmas shopping online as well! I’m already dreading the credit card bill! I think I only have 2 more people to shop for, and I also got my niece’s birthday present since our birthday is next month as well. I feel accomplished for having gotten myself 95% done with it all, but still fearing that bill! Lol! There were a few purchases made for myself as well, so it will be awful I know! Upside is I’ll get another B&N gift card out of it! Lol!

    Happy Reading!

Glad to hear you had a nice thanksgiving with the family. I didn’t go any where near the Friday sales, way too many people for me. Lol… Yay for Stranger Things. We love it, an my daughter has already rewatched season 2times already. :). Enjoy the rest of your Sunday.

Love Stranger Things! The second season was so good. Bob is my favorite character. I love watching Sean Astin and Winona Ryder act together on screen. Makes me feel like I am 15 again! Have a great week.

We are still out of town. Unfortunately, it was not a four day weekend for myself, so I am exhaisted. But aleays nice to see family. I tried to link up as usual and think I messed it up but cannot find a way to edit it an stuck working from my phone haha. We also just started Season 2 of Stranger Things and opted to avpid the shopping chaos. I hope you are well this week my friend!

I’m glad to hear you had a nice holiday weekend. We did as well, and we didn’t venture out to do any Black Friday shopping this year either, opting to spend the weekend relaxing instead. I might check out some Cyber Monday deals tomorrow though to see if I can score any deals. I saw your button for the Take Control of your TBR pile Challenge and will definitely be on the lookout for that in 2018. Hope you have a wonderful week!

We also ate too much. But it was soooooooo tasty! 😀 I also did shopping from the comfort of my jammies and computer. I still have some more to get then I’ll venture out into the real world to get the rest. Boxes will be coming for the next few days. Nox will be so happy since I recycled her big box. lol

I hope you have a wonderful week, Kim!

Hi Kimberly! So glad to hear that you have had an enjoyable Thanksgiving. I’ve been to get my son to watch Stranger Things, but I fear I might have to just watch it on my own. I hope you have a wonderful week ahead!

  17. Mallory

Glad you had such a great Thanksgiving 🙂 I think I’m in the same camp as your husband – I can only manage 2-3 episodes of a show before I give-out, but my husband can sit and watch a whole season of Stranger Things in one sitting. We had a very hard time watching TV shows together because he always skips ahead 🙂

I did two Thanksgivings this year since The Man worked on Thanksgiving. We did our own on Wednesday and it was delicious. I ate all of my sides first and then was full and couldn’t eat my ham! Today we will be shopping for tree decorations. First time The Man is staying in Texas for Christmas, and he bought a tree back in the summer. I’m excited to see how this adventure will turn out. I was binge watching Forensic Files almost the entire week in the evening and night and creeped myself out after about 3 days, so I’ve been binging The Andy Griffith Show instead. It’s nice to have options! I hope you enjoy your shopping this week.

I never shop online for black friday. I miss out on a lot. This year though, the Google Home battery pack was on sale so I bought it as a Christmas gift for my hubby since he got the Google Home and Google Home Mini.
I’m glad you had a good thanksgiving! I ate lots of turkey LOL. This only comes once a year so I had to take full advantage.

Glad you had a nice Thanksgiving! That sounds like a good way to shop- pick em up and eat out ha ha! I have to say I’m a total convert now to online shopping. I used to love the crowds and the hustle and bustle, but not so much anymore.

We’re decorating here too. And Stranger Things 2 is pretty awesome. 🙂

Hey, we were twinsies. We had family Thanksgiving and then spent the weekend getting lights and greenery up and doing some on-line shopping. Oh, but I did go to a see Murder on the Orient Express Friday night- worth it.

Hopefully you’ll have a good day shopping and getting a bite to eat next week. 🙂

Happy thanksgiving. We celebrate even though we are in the UK as my husband is from the states and it is one of my favourite times of year (though I wish it was a holiday here too as I have to rush around a lot but hey ho!). We started Stranger Things 2 last night as well. I thought it was brilliant! Have a good week x

  23. Tanya @ Rantings of a Reading Addict

Those crowds are SO not worth it. I was stuck inside preparing for a move next weekend, so didn’t get to participate in the hop or much of anything reading or blogging wise. I’m going to need a good readathon weekend when this move finishes. I’m behind on my GR challenge and stressed out! I’m glad you had a good Thanksgiving! I spent ours in the Animal ER with a sick dog. No turkey for me yet. I’m counting on Christmas being quiet and uneventful!
