Little Monster needs to get ready for bed. That means howling at the moon, scrubbing his scales, getting into his creepy PJs, and enjoying a nice snack before bed: worm juice and baked beetle bread. And, of course, Little Monster’s mother is nearby to tuck Little Monster into bed and turn on his night-light—because even little monsters can be afraid of the dark. Bonnie Leick’s soft, child-friendly illustrations rendered in watercolor bring a new and quiet twist to the evening’s bedtime ritual. Sweet dreams, Little Monster!

GOODNIGHT LITTLE MONSTER by Helen Ketteman is an adorable story about bedtimes and routines. Its soft-colored illustrations by Bonnie Leick are delightful and whimsical. Perfect for bedtime this fun book reinforces nightly rituals.

Children will delight as they discover, among other things, cows, ghosts, and choo-choo trains. The end of the story features a real mirror, allowing kids to see themselves -- an endless source of fascination. Simple rhyming words help build an understanding of sound and language.

PEEK-A-WHO? is an adorable board book that has your child playing peek-a-boo and guessing what creature is around the corner. Such a fun post!. I distinctly remember my son loving Goodnight, Little Monster when he was in pre-kindergarten.

We have one book called the Halloween Bus that I still read to the kids even now and another about a Little Monster. These look so cute! The monster one looks adorable. I hope you were able to read them to the Royals! 🙂

Very cute, having grand royals has really widened your scope of reading. One day, a steamy romance, another a snarky mystery, all glued together with a delightful children’s novel. Happy reading Kimba. I hope the weather has been nice and not too rough on your joints.

Bwahaha…yes by day I read kiddie books and at night everything from steamy to horror. We have the heat on, lows in the forties. I am so not ready.

Peek a Who!!! YAY!!! Or Peek a BOO? “Who” was totally worn out in this house but “Boo” wasn’t out yet 🙁 We had sooo many favorite Halloween books – Jake liked the Hallo-weiner and I liked Goodnight Goon.

Love kids books. We bought Peek-a-Who? and my son just loves reading it. I’ve add the other two you featured to my library request. They both look adorable. I love trying out new kid books with my 5-year-old son. Just love Nonna’s Corner posts. ^_^

Aw these look cute 🙂 I must admit, I still have some of my books from when I was a kid and flick through them every now and then. Maybe I could read them to my cats *ponders*

These look cute! We are fans of Little Blue Trucks Halloween and Eek! Halloween (Sandra Boynton) here. I also love Room on the Broom but my little guy has deemed the dragon scary, soooo maybe we’ll hold onto that one for another year 🙂
