Hands down, my favorite thing in the world is to score. Touchdowns. Don't let the fact that I'm the leading pick in the Most Valuable Playboy charity auction fool you. These days, I'm only a player on the field. I've kept my pants zipped all season long - and it is long - because nothing's more important than leading my team to victory every week. Except maybe escaping from the team owner's recently widowed and handsy-as-hell sister, who's dead set on winning more than a date with me. Enter Violet and a well-placed Hail Mary. She's my best friend's sister with a smile as sweet as cherry pie, and a mind that runs quicker than the 40-yard-dash.

After Violet saves the day with the highest bid, I don't even give her a two-minute warning before I kiss her in front of the whole crowd, and then announce that she's my girlfriend. Which would be fine, except my agent tells me we've got to keep up the act while he's negotiating my contract. Violet takes one for the team and pretends to be mine, but our boyfriend-girlfriend scrimmage quickly turns into a full contact sport, and I want it to go into overtime. The problem is - I've been riding the bench for years. How can a guy like me, who finally has a chance to prove his worth on the field, convince the girl she's most valuable to his heart?

RomCom SEXY Sweet Sports

One of the things I enjoy about listening to audiobooks by Lauren Blakely is that I know I am going to get a feel good, smexy and adorkable romance. Need a lift? Bad day? Grab your earbuds and listen to Most Valuable Playboy.

Quarterback Cooper Armstrong is finally playing again, and his team is experiencing a winning season. The Gods are good. Now if he can renew his contract all will be perfect. When he is spotted with his best friend’s sister at a charity event, it becomes the talk of the town, and the team’s owner is pleased. This results in the two of them entering into a fake relationship but whose faking what?

Gads I love Cooper. The man is cocky, sexy and just a tad adorkable. Seriously he is dreamy. Violet Pierson has known Cooper since the second grade and has been crushing on him ever since. Only she is Trent’s little sister, and he’s never looked at her twice. I loved the banter and chemistry between these two. It is obvious they know and like each other, and despite Cooper’s initial declarations, it soon becomes clear he is in over his head.

It was such a hoot seeing these two kiss for the crowd and getting their reactions. Blakely slowly builds up the sexual tension before turning up the heat. It felt fresh, hot and delicious with a touch of sweet that curled my toes.

Aside from the romance, we get a little Football. We meet the team, see their rituals, enjoy their comradery and become caught up in the game. Secondary characters, Violet’s hairdressing business, and friends balance out the tale and make us feel apart of their circle.

Zackery Webb narrators and the man’s voice is sexy delivering the cocky and adorable sides of Cooper. His females voices are believable, and I quickly become immersed in the tale.

I fell in love with these characters and became caught up in their romance. When they come together, it’s explosive when they realize there is something more it’s beautiful. Blakely gives us a heartwarming, sometimes sappy, always sexy story that left me grinning. If your looking for a hot, feel-good romance grab the Most Valuable Playboy.

I love anything she writes! And I think I have listened to the ones I’ve read so far-Sebastian York!! But I do have probably six or more others in my tbr. She’s just the author to go to for fun romance. Glad you enjoyed this one. I am sure I will get to it sooner rather than later.

I just checked the ebook of this out from the library but I’m tempted to grab the audio. I love Blakely’s writing and Zachary Webber was really grown on me. It’s not S. York but he comes a close 2nd for me.

Holy smokes! Just reading the sypnosis, I’m already convinced. I’m not usually a fan of pretend relationship but this one just sounds so appealing. I’ll definitely get my own copy!

Cocky and adorkable! What a fantastic combination. I am trash for sports romances, and this hero sounds like one I would love. Great review!

“The man is cocky, sexy and just a tad adorkable.” — This certainly means we’re in for a “hot and sexy” read. Thanks for the post.

a male narrator with decent female voices 😀 that’s awesome to hear. Glad you enjoyed this one, does sound fun

Yes, he and York do them so well. Ironically, I find that male narrators do them better than a female narrating a male voice.

I don’t think I’ve ever read a sports romance, but they sound kinda fun, and I’m all for fake relationship tropes haha I’m glad this one delivered 🙂

First off, that title is fab, and really grabs my attention. I always enjoy when there is sexy and funny chemistry between two characters to make me smile. Add in some football, and I’m all in. Hugs…RO

Oh I love her stuff Kim but I feel like I’ll be cheating on Sebastian York 🙂 I’m still on her works where he’s narrating.
