Oh dear. I just heard about this. A day late and a dollar short, like always! I’ll have to keep an eye out for your next challenge!

  2. Ria

I’m participating for the first time. Very excited to join the HO HO HO readathon 🙂

  3. Rebecca

I think I found a few classics on my TBR which match with the theme. Little Women is set around Christmas time and Frankenstein came up on a GR list for Popular Winter Cold Setting Books. I’m not sure of the specifics and how Winter fits in, but would those count?

  4. Chloe

To join or to not join? God decision making is not my strong point when it comes to books, I just have no clue if I’ll have time to read with college *cries* Regardless I’ll spread the word about it as much as I can.

I just checked and my 4 Day Read-A-Thon that I host actually falls into this Read-A-Thon which works out really well…now to find some winter themed books

  5. Naomi Hop

I don’t think we get a lot of Christmas stories down here… I wonder if it’s more a cold winter thing, because it’s too hot to snuggle over Christmas in Aus!! hehe

  6. MarthaE

I am doing the Sci Fi Month in November too so I’ll have to see if I can find some Holiday sci fis to read. Thanks for having this fun event.

  7. Jan

This is always one of my favorite blog activities of the year, Kimberly. Thanks for hosting it. I’ve already got a list of possible books to read and am looking for more.

  8. Leona

I really wish I could participate this year, but I suck at finding seasonal reads, or at least good ones. Plus, I won’t have the time but I can’t wait to see what everyone chooses to read.

    • kimbacaffeinate

Aww, I am bummed. I found a ton of winter/snow settings in my own tbr pile, I did a Google search by genre and setting. Goodreads had loads of them.

    • kimbacaffeinate

Thanks. Are you sure you don’t have books with winter settings? We would love for you to join in the fun. There will be hot cocoa 🙂

      • Melissa (Books and Things)

I do! With what I have to do at home, I didn’t think I could do it any justice. I will keep it in mind, however if I get more done this month than I expect! 😀 I need that cocoa!

    • kimbacaffeinate

YAY! Do a cross-reference on winter/snow settings in genres you like, I found I owned quite a few thrillers, romances, and mystery that qualify.

  9. Bea

I’ve been waiting for this! When you didn’t answer me about doing it again this year, I got worried you weren’t going to host it. YAY!

  10. ShootingStarsMag

I know I have one holiday themed book I need/want to read and there are some others that I might grab in e-book form. I’m signed up!! 🙂

Awesome Lauren. Do a search by your favorite genre and winter/snow setting. I found tons of thrillers and was surprised I owned some.

  11. Tyler H. Jolley

This. Kimba, this is probably my favorite read-a-thon to follow. I love your enthusiasm and how you inspire others. Happy reading!

  12. Debbie Haupt

I will be reviewing books that release in Feb/March in November so I’ll be cheering you all on from the sidelines!!! Rah Rah team Kim!!!

    • kimbacaffeinate

I was surprised by how many books I have with Winter settings in my tbr pile. I did a search on Goodreads for winter/snowstorm thrillers and wow..there are a lot!

  13. Sarah @ A Weebish Book Blog

YAY! I spent a few minutes yesterday picking out books for this read-a-thon! I also picked some ARCs to review for December just for HoHoHo. I loved it the last time I participated. I’m so excited. 😀 (linking GR shelf until my sign up post comes out next month.

    • kimbacaffeinate

Yay happy to have you joining in the fun again. I am doing searches by genre for winter/snow settings to see what books on my own TBR pile qualify, plus I grabbed holiday ARCs.

  14. Jennifer

I finally tested out listening to audiobooks at my current job and it’s a go! So I plan on listening to audios at work and reading at night. Woot!

  15. kindlemom1

I never have any holiday or winter books, what is wrong with me?

Okay, that’s it, I’m going through my TBR pile, I know I must have something in there to be able to participate!

    • kindlemom1

I did dang it, I should have waited! I know I have some romance ones somewhere on my Kindle account. I just haven’t been in the mood for them but now is as good of a time as any. 😉

      • kimbacaffeinate

It can be winter too. If you google your favorite genre and winter/snow settings you will find oodles of them on Goodreads. I found 40+ horror books

  16. Christy LoveOfBooks

Dammit, I know I won’t have any time to participate this year. 🙁 Unless stuff clears up when it gets closer. I’ll spread the word, though.
