Sunday Post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted here @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead. See rules here: Sunday Post Meme

New roof, gutters and new heating/air conditioning unit, no new problems! Woot!  Aside from noise for three days as things were upgraded, this was a good week. Mr. Caffeinated took me out to dinner, not once but twice. I managed a little reading, caught up on The Mist and enjoyed another episode of Midnight, Texas. We ended up having Princess Sophia with us Friday overnight. She had an infection and needed a little extra TLC.  September is coming which means Fall and I am in no rush. I love Autumn, but her sisters (Winter) is not my friend. Enjoy your week.  As always, stay Caffeinated!

I might need to try Midnight, Texas . I gave up on the Mist though- maybe it’s getting better? And glad to hear all your new stuff is installed- sounds like a busy week! Now you can relax hopefully. 🙂

Love that Totally Random! That’s about it…

I’m glad things went better this week. Love that totally random pic – lol. I follwed the saga about that book scam on twitter – amazing! Have a great week! 🙂

I am also not a winter fan, though they have been milder these past few year. I have to hope there is no snow this year, because I used all my personal days for the two storms we had at the beginning of the year. The Wedding Date looks good. I am interested in seeing your thoughts on that. I am set to read Short History. I heard it is sort of heartbreaking, so I am prepping myself. Have a great week!

I am quite curious about it Sam. Winter gets cold here, so I am in no rush. August has been very fall like so I am a tad worried it’s a sign that winter will be bitter cold.

Wow – a lot of work going on at one. I have my garage getting boxed in next week and that’s about all I can manage. Hopefully it’s all over now and you can have a nicer, quieter, week.

Yes, these things seem to run in threes. First, the storm damaged our roof and then the AC/Unit died. Ooo and our kitchen sink sprung a leak and we had to replace the faucet. So hopefully we are done for a

How nice that the noise in your house is over, and that all that needed fixing is fixed! I hope Sophia is feeling better.
YAY, you got your hands on Twisted Truths!! I can’t wait to read that one 🙂
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.

  6. Evelina

Glad to hear about no new problems 🙂 hey, I love autumn too! Gotta be my favorite season – with all those amazing colors. Especially if it’s a sunny autumn, it makes life so much better, doesn’t it?

I am thinking to start with Tess Gerritsen soon and your reviews helped a lot in this decision))

My goodness – what a lot of work you managed to get done in a short amount of time! I, too, am enjoying Midnight, Texas. I hope the Princess soon feels better – I hate it when the grandchildren are poorly. As for the approach of September – it can back right off as far as I’m concerned as I DREAD winter and each year I loathe it a little bit more. Our heating bills are huge as I cannot work when cold:(. I hope the coming week is more peaceful, Kimber.

Glad it was a good week! I love going out to dinner so lucky you. I love Fall but man I agree about Winter. I am in no rush for that. Love that random! Have a great week!

I use to love winter, never wore a coat and loved reading by the fire. However, all of that changed when I got an auto immune disease. The cold hurts my joints and because it gets so cold here, I am trapped in the house for months.

Construction noise can be quite annoying, but that’s nice it all got fixed now! I am looking forward to fall, but it seems we get one last warm period before we get cooler weather. Have a great week!

I love Autumn to and I am not looking forward to winter but at least you got your home reading with the new heating and roof. 🙂 I got A Treacherous Curse this week too! Can’t wait to read that one.

So glad everything is working well for you. Sounds like you’ve been busy as well. I don’t know what is going on these days. I’ve been busy with life. I thought as the kids got older it slowed down for us. But that’s not happening! LOL! Have a great week!

  13. Tanya

Wow, that’s a lot of home maintenance at one time. The joys of home ownership. 🙂
Interesting to see a Rebecca Zanetti book as one of your new arrivals since I’m currently reading my first by Zanetti – one called Mercury Striking.

No, I didn’t even know there was a prequel! I’m still on the fence with how I’m feeling about this one. I’m about 100 pages in. Hopefully it’ll pick up and I’ll get more invested soon.

Yay to your house upgrades! We got central air put in a couple of years ago, and it changed my life. I’m with you, I love fall but hate winter, so this time of year is bittersweet. Hope you have a great week!

I am not really ready for fall either. I spend a lot of $$ this summer getting my wardrobe right and now it is too chilly to wear half the stuff I bought. *head desk*
Glad to hear your house is back to normal. Sorry to hear Sophia was sick, Kids are so pathetic when they are feeling bad, makes me want to do anything to make them feel better. Glad to her she had her Nonna to take care of her.
    Have a great week!

I was just thinking that about my wardrobe. We are heading back East in September for a celebration of life, and I am sure it won’t be warm enough for my shorts and stuff. I loath shopping but will have to go soon.

  17. Kathy

That is good the house repairs are completed. I can just imagine the noise so it it nice to get out of the house for a nice dinner. I hope Sophia feels better. I’ve seen your pictures of her and she is growing up too fast! I’ll have to check out Triberr (I’ve never heard of that). I hope you have a great week!

I am so excited about autumn! I was dancing around in my bedroom yesterday singing “it’s almost sweater weather” at my husband, He isn’t nearly as enthused. 😛

I agree that Winter is no fun! As soon as Christmas is over, I am ready for spring. Looking forward to fall though. Have a great week!

  20. Michelle Gilmore

I’m glad you got all of that taken care of, I hate housework. The noise is awful.
I’m not really ready to let the heat go yet. I may be melting but I’d prefer that over freezing to death.
I hope you have s great week Kim!

That’s wonderful Kimba! Glad that’s all over with.

I read about that YA drama, it’s insane! Anyway, I’ve requested to join your triberr tribe. I haven’t been on there for awhile though, so bear with me. 🙂

Hope that Princess Sophia feels better soon, and hope you have a great week!

  23. Rosie

Major accomplishments this week, and also so much fun, good for you. You must not live in a condo, I’ve been trying to get them to fix my leak from the roof for seven months, and I’m scared with hurricane season coming. Looking forward to fall and spending time curled up reading good books!

  24. Suzanne

What a busy week, Kimba! Glad you it’s all finished and you can get back to normal! Enjoy your week and all your great books!

Good to hear everything is fixed and working Kimberly. And your husband took you out for dinner two times this week? That’s awesome. I love going out to dinner with my husband.

Oh, very nice haul… I’m hoping to get the new Deanna Raybourne and Rebecca Zanetti for review.

    • kimbacaffeinate

Awe, yes we spoil the grandbabies We had Sophia most of the weekend since she was sick and needed that extra TLC. They both work full-time and are sleep deprived so we help out where we can

  27. Mallory

So happy to hear that everything is going smoothly with the house. None of those things are fun to replace and it sounds like you may have been living in a minor construction zone – oof! 🙂 Loving the Autumn weather right now, but I went on a walk this afternoon and noticed the leaves are changing – not sure I’m ready for fall quite yet!

(Oh – and that NYT Bestseller article? WOW! You really can’t make that up!)

Happy Blogiversary!! Looks like you had a great week. I see that you got Deanna Raybourn’s third book. I’ve been eyeing her series. Her books look so good. Enjoy your reading week!

  29. Lark

YAY for a new roof and new AC! That must be a relief, in more ways than one. Sorry to hear about the Princess’s infection; I hope she feels better soon. I see we both got A Treacherous Curse this week—I can’t wait to read it! (Except I have to, because I’ve got other review books in the queue.)

  30. Jenea's Book Obsession

Glad you able to get everything all fixed. We have barely any leaves on our tress in our yard. Means fall is here, winter is not far behind here either. Not looking forward to it. Enjoy the new additions. 🙂

I’ll be reading A Short History of the Girl Next Door also. LOL on your random. Hope this week goes well for you as well.
