Sunday Post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted here @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead. See rules here: Sunday Post Meme

We arrived home this week after a wonderful vacation of sun, fun, and family in North Carolina. We spent our time sightseeing and exploring.  Boat, ferry rides, dinners on the water and lots of walking and exploring. I managed to read four books and listen to one audiobook while we were away. It was wonderful. I have the Royals all weekend, somehow when I agreed to take them earlier this year, I didn’t realize we would literally get home and have them for the weekend. A task that requires lots of coffee, but truth be told we were missing them something fierce…so the laundry can wait. In my totally random I share pictures of our vacation. Thank you to everyone who visited Caffeinated, left comments and uplifted the blog while I was away. You rock! Stay Caffeinated and say hello to August!

Welcome back! Glad you had a great vacation. And enjoy the Royals this weekend. I love spending time on the water, those are the best vacations I think. 🙂

Beautiful vacation pics! I swear to gawd I am.going to make it to the shore next summer. Ha! Happy to hear you had a fab time and even got reading done. 🙂

I have Witches Of New York, too. I will be looking out for your thoughts because I have no clue when I will get to it. Next year maybe, heh heh. XD

I just read the Blogger images instructions on the link, and Blogger images automatically save to a Google Picassa album, you don’t have to get code and insert it into the html. The only way you lose an image is if you delete it from Picassa. If you do want to insert html for an image you can also easily drop in an image html on the same dropdown menu as an upload. I don’t know why they made their instructions based on coding in the html page. :/

Have a wonderful week getting lots of hugs from The Royals. 🙂

Those instructions aid you if you want to make a Button for your blog or you host an event and ask folks to share button with a link on your blog, which is what most folks used Photobucket for. I did pre-WordPress.org

      • La La in the Library

That was only one use they were recommending it for “You can change the href URL or remove the a tags altogether so all that is left is the image tag line. You can now use this to display that image elsewhere on your blog.” They also said you needed to go into the html for all widgets, which is not true, there is an edit page that uploads the widget images and automatically saves it to the Picassa album. I have my gripes with Blogger, but image sharing, posting, and storing is super easy. I have never had to go into the html. I just worry because any little bit of coding scares some bloggers and I think this explaination might stress them out. Ha ha.

Welcome back! It sounds like your vacation was restful but still filled with fun things to do! I’m sure you royally missed the Royals, and for sure, the laundry can wait 🙂
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.

Gah I need a vacation! I haven’t had a real one in years. I just ran into the Photobucket problem this week, so I’ll be working on that when I get the chance. Midnight Texas seems like fun so far, and I might pick up the book series when I get the chance. I really enjoy Harris’ writing style so I have no doubt I’ll enjoy it.

I hope you have a good week this week!

It sounds like you enjoyed your vacation! 🙂 I’m almost jealous of those summer pics (it’s winter here at the moment and has been quite stormy!)

Hope you’re having a lovely weekend (doing laundry is overrated anyway :P)

Welcome home! Such lovely pictures from your vacation. I love lighthouses! I see Spellbook of the Lost and Found on your “New to Me”. I thought the book was fabulous, but if this is audio, it could be pretty awesome with the right narrator.

I just heard they had a huge power outage on the Outer Banks, so thank goodness you didn’t get caught up in that. That water looks so soothing, and glad you were able to get some reading in just so you could relax a little. Welcome back! Hugs…

  8. Ardis

What a fun looking vacation! I’m glad you had some time for fun this summer. I was one of those unfortunate souls who had images on Photobucket, and it took my web designer brother and I three hours to fix everything! Fun times! Have a restful week.

  9. Lola

Sounds like you had a great time on your vacation! I am glad to hear that :). Your pictures look great and that’s nice you got some reading and listening done as well. Have a great week!

Welcome back Kimberly. Looks like you had a great vacation! Love the pictures!
I can imagine having the grandkids over, right after you get back from your vacation makes you need a lot of coffee. Good luck 😉
Have a great week and happy reading!

OOh nice pictures! Glad you had a fun time! And ooh nice new reads! I’m curious about Moria’s book, but since I have yet to read her first book and have no clue as to whether I will enjoy her style and such, I forbade myself from picking that one up just now! Lol! And ooh The Veil! I enjoyed that one! Pretty much always enjoy Chloe’s books! Hope you enjoy all the new reads!

Welcome back! The sky looks gorgeous in your vacation photos. What a perfect day to be on the water! You are sun-kissed and glowing!! It looks like the time away did you good. I’m planning to take next week off, but I need to get through this week first!! Lots of stuff at work to wrap up, so I’m a little stressed about that. Have a great week!.

    1. THANK YOU for posting instructions for Photobucket! I was wondering what was up with seeing those images on everyone’s blogroll. When I pull images for a blogroll, I copy the image, not the code. So I had no clue what was happening 🙂

    2. I swear, if you cut your hair I will come over there and CUT you!!! Uh, your pics look awesome!!! xoxoxo

    • kimbacaffeinate

No my hair is clipped up so it didn’t blow all over on the boat. It is still long..LOL I have a cute clip on the front and the rest is up in a twist and clipped with one of those big grabber clips.

It sounds like your vacation was wonderful, Kimberly. So glad you got to spend a good chunk of time away. I hope you’re enjoying your time with the grandkids. It’s really nice for your kids that you take care of them when you can.

You got some great sounding books. Have a great week!

What a fun trip! It sounds like it was a blast. You did well on the reading front while away, too! My grandmother watched all the grandkids so that my mom and her siblings didn’t have to pay for daycare. She did so much for us. It’s awesome that you’re getting the same experiences with your grandkids. I hope the first few days back are a slow slide back into the regular. Happy reading!

  17. Nick

Kim, your vacation sounds like it was an absolute blast. Bummer you have to take care of the grandkids this weekend though, but it will be nice to have them around since you missed them so much. Have a fabulous week ahead! Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on some of these books. 🙂

  18. Melissa (My World...in words and pages)

Looks like you had a wonderful vacation. Hope you don’t have to tough of a transition to being home again. 😉 Have a great week!

  19. Jolene Wilson

I would love to go to NC in the summer time. I was there for Christmas once and it was beautiful. My husband has been to the Biltmore. I hope to see it someday.

  20. Laura

Sounds like you had a wonderful vacation! I like your pics. You look relaxed. You got some great audios in your mailbox. I’m curious about The Stolen Marriage. Enjoy your reading!

  21. Sophia Rose

Thanks for sharing your pictures, Kimberly, and glad to see it was a good vacation. The Royals are glad to have a visit now that you are back, I’m sure.

Good books in the haul and way to go getting so many read and listened to.

Have a good, restful week! 🙂

Welcome home! It looks and sounds like you had a fantastic time! I’m looking forward to your review of Dark Rites (and need to get mine written.)

The two HP books sound interesting; I hope they’ll be published on our side of the pond. If not, I’m sure I’ll be looking at Book Depository! And the Photobucket thing is a pain. I can host my images on my WordPress site, but I have to find the time to figure out which images from my Blogger blog were affected. Grrr.

Have a wonderful week, and good luck with the post-vacation laundry mountain!

That’s wonderful you had such a great vacation and got to do lots of reading/audios ^_^. Hope you have a great week with the Royals. July was a great month. Now Aug arrives and I have family visiting just before my son starts Kindergarten at the end of the month.
Have a great week and happy reading!

  25. Katherine

A visit from the Royals is definitely a good reason to delay that mass amounts of vacation laundry! It looks like you had such a good time! North Carolina is beautiful place and one I need to visit more! Now go take a nap! After the week you’ve had you must want to sleep for a month no matter how fun it was! Have a great week!

    Hallo, Hallo everyone!

I wanted to share this post with you all earlier today, however, for whichever reason I had to have a few quirky tech issues – thus extending the wait until the early hours of Monday morn! I am happy with how things turnt out as I had quite a lot to share this week! From new stories to be reading to what my life on Twitter revealled! Hope everyone had a great week! 🙂

  27. Berls

Looks like you had a nice vacation and got some sun too 🙂 And I know you must have been missing the royals something fierce, so the caffeine drip will be well worth the time with them! Welcome back and have a great week 🙂

Sounds and looks like you had great time and plenty of sun. I bet your daughter is extremely to have you back. Happy reading.

We took the ferry to Ocracoke, NC and then my SIL and hubby have a boat so we toured the inlets, went to Dunn Island and explored the smaller islands.
