Sunday Post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted here @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead. See rules here: Sunday Post Meme

We leave for our vacation Friday and while I will miss my children and the Royals  I am completely excited and ready to unplug, unwind and just relax. I was looking at my ARC schedule over the next three months and had to laugh almost all are audiobooks. Ooops. I am hoping to read/listen on vacation, but last year only managed one book in ten days so I am trying to be realistic. It’s been warm, but no complaints here. Hope your week has been a good one and that the week ahead holds a five-star read for you! Stay Caffeinated!

Have a great vacation. 🙂 Hope the weather is good. Ash and Quill reminds me I need to read that series.

And yay for the HoHoHo readathon! Man that’ll be here sooner than it sounds ha ha!

Oh no! I wish I hadn’t seen that Kindle Unlimited is on sale! I let mine lapse, but that’s a pretty good deal!

    Have a wonderful vacation!

I always, allllways take way too many books on vacation and then don’t read. We just got back from an extended weekend trip where I took 4 books and my kindle and didn’t read a single page. Lol. Hope you have a wonderful time!

I hope your vacation is amazing. My yearly vacation is the highlight of my year. Sadly, no vacay this year, because I spent the time and money bringing the kid to grad school, but I am keeping my fingers crossed for next year. Those socks are awesome!

Oooh I hope you have a great time on vacation! It’s always nice to get away from kids and have a chance to get away from the screens.

One book is totally fine for time on vacation 😉

Oh vacation. I’ve got a bit longer to go. We’re only leaving for a while in September and we haven’t even booked it yet! Vacation is usually the time where I can read a bit more. Throughout working weeks I get so caught up with other things (or Netflix :P)

Hope you have a great time on holiday. I’ve been bugging my boyfriend about going somewhere but we never end up looking for any which sucks!! Have a great week!

The thing about a vacation is that you do what you want – so if you FEEL like reading, that’s great and if you don’t, that’s great, too:)). Have a lovely time relaxing and unwinding – you’ve earned it!

I find I rarely read when I’m on vacation. Weird I know! Lol! Usually it’s because I am somewhere new (or different) and I go out and do things. I don’t always like doing nothing on my vacations, I need to do stuff! Lol!

Nice little gift too! Hope you have a nice week or so away from it all!

I do hope you have a lovely and relaxing vacation. Also, I’ve noticed audio books have become a bigger thing for me as well. They seem to really be picking up lately. 🙂

    Have fun and enjoy yourself!

I hope you have a awesome vacation and have some time to listen to some great books! Here it’s been warm too and I would like a bit cooler temperature,s but I think it will stay warmer for a while longer. Have a great week!

I LOVE the socks!!! They are adorable!! I definitely know what you mean. I’ve listened to one audiobook (about a month ago now) and with that one I got used to being able to drive and listen, brush my teeth and listen, get dressed and listen. Now I have to put down my book and I feel that every time I have to set it down 🙂 Audiobooks might be the new thing for me in the future! Have a great vacation 🙂

I was on vacation and hoped to have read more, but I got a little reading and blogging done. Time flies too fast on vacations lol. I hope you have a safe and fun trip!

Have a relaxing time on vacation. I am jealous! I am not going anywhere this summer but I shouldn’t complain since I did go to London in March and headed to Florida in October. Have fun!!!!

    • kimbacaffeinate

That is the plan. I am only packing books from my own TBR pile. The blog will keep until I get back and is scheduled through mid-September already.

  18. Danielle

Those socks are adorable! Happy vacationing and safe travels <3 I am getting more and more into audio as my eyes give my fits and the tremors increase. May I ask, do you get review copies? I have been relying on the library and sales. They are very pricey. I have thought about reaching out for some to review, but no idea where to start haha.

    • kimbacaffeinate

Danielle, Yes I get physical, eGalleys and audiobooks for review. Did you start with NetGalley and Edelweiss? I began there and publishers began reaching out to me. Email me if you want.

      • Danielle

I do get egalleys but was uncertain on how to go about requesting audiobooks. I have an active Netgalley account. I think I have an Edelweiss, but have not used. I will try to send you an email today after work 🙂

  19. Charlie

I hope you enjoy your vacation! Where are you going? I need to get back into listening to at least one audiobook a month. We’ve had warm days, but it doesn’t stop the dogs from going out and sunning themselves. Heaven help you if you make them come in before they are baked. Happy reading!

  20. Angela

Enjoy your vacation and good luck with the review books. I try to limit my review request in the summer just because the little man is out and I don’t have as much free time as I would like. Even on vacations I don’t get reading in like I want now that I’ve got a child. I love him, but they do take up a lot of your time.

Happy reading and have a great week!

    • kimbacaffeinate

Yep, I have a few posts in August that are audiobooks I just got and September has mostly audios. They were all ones I was waiting on so it’s all good.

  21. Tressa

I hope you have a fabulous vacation and at least get two books read this time. 🙂

  22. Laura Fabiani

Hope you have a fun and relaxing vacation. I’m going away in August, so not for another month. I always have great expectations for reading when on vacation, but I never read as much as I think I will.

  23. Carole

Have a great vacation! I sometimes get myself in a bind when I don’t realize that I have too many books due at the same time. It happens. I just finished my vacation and really thought I was going to get so much reading done…ummm let’s just say it didn’t happen.

I blog ahead, so I am ok. It just so happened that all of my requested audiobooks released close together. That and I keep holding out for the audio.

    • kimbacaffeinate

You linked up your blog just fine, but you need to link it to a Sunday Post or weekly recap that links back to Caffeinated in order to participate.

  24. Tyler H. Jolley

I just got back from vacation. It’s so great to take a break. You’re going to South Carolina, right? Happy listening/reading to you, Kimba!

    • kimbacaffeinate

Oh, no worries with ARCs at all. I am scheduled through September and have 7 weeks before next arc release date. I am hoping to read some of my own books..hehe

  25. Katherine

Have a fantastic vacation! I always have fantastic intentions of reading but it very rarely happens. That’s too funny about mostly audios. I’ve done the same thing but it’s with print books. I usually have more ebooks than print but right now it’s the other way around. Have a great week!
