Sunday Post

Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted here @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead. See rules here: Sunday Post Meme

On Tuesday we celebrated Mr. Caffeinated’s birthday. A good meal and cake were enjoyed by all! This has been a crazy week. Twice now I have read books in series out of order. I selected correct book on Goodreads and even updated my progress. When I went to write my review I realized, I had read the next book in the series instead. WTH?!? Thankfully no harm, no foul and I was able to go back and read the previous. Then I realized I had 2 review posts scheduled with no actual review written!! OYE! It was at this point I decided that I seriously needed to unplug. I scheduled social media for my clients and pulled the cord on all social media for the weekend. Hopefully my brain recovers.  The kids and hubby are taking me to breakfast this morning. We haven’t done this in years as the homebody in me rebels at the idea of going out on one of the busiest restaurant days of the year, but I am determined to enjoy myself. For all the Mom’s out there, I hope you have a wonderful day! For those involved in the Clean Sweep ARC challenge, the Twitter party is this Thursday,  May 18th at 7:30 pm (EST) #cleansweeparc. Happy Mothers Day! Hope you have an awesome breakfast out. And yeah sometimes unplugging helps the brain cells to recover lol. I’ve been trying to do it more myself. Hope your new reads are good. I read the first Owl book but not the second- Electric Samurai looks fun.

Happy Mother’s Day Kim! I hope you have a nice breakfast and a lovely day. I’m with you in hesitating to go out on this busy day so I’m not entirely sure what we will do. Sounds like a social media unplug was just what you needed! Hope you’re feeling better and recharged! Have a great week!

Happy Mother’s Day, Kim! I hope your breakfast will be nice and cozy!
I guess you really do need a break, I have had times where I mixed things up like that, too, and I’ve also had reviews scheduled with no actual review written… I’m glad you caught them before they actually posted.
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading 😀

Happy Mother’s Day! And thanks for sharing my post 🙂 I relate to your need to unplug, I’m not even doing an update today because I just needed a break this weekend!

Happy belated birthday to Mr Caffeinated! I hope he had a great birthday. The meal and cake sounds great! I hope your unplugged break will help. I usually do my best to read a series in order. Have a great week!

Happy Mother’s Day! Hope you have a wonderful time with your family. Happy belated birthday to your husband.

I’ve accidentally checked out the wrong book in a series before. Right now I have book three in a series and I’m waiting for book two to arrive. Fortunately I caught my mistake before reading it but I think it’s one I could have read out of order. Hope that unplugging helped :).

    Have a great week!

I’ve done that before too where I read the wrong book and ended up out of order. Hope you didn’t get any spoilers for the book you had to read later. I hope you have a great Mother’s Day. I’m trying to catch up on my blog visits. I’ve gotten so far behind because of RT and just being busy this week.

Have a lovely breakfast and hopefully a relaxing day. As regards your mix-ups… it sounds as if you are still coping with the aftermath of the cold/virus thingy you were smitten with. I’m STILL not right as I just keep running out of energy and feeling fit to drop with no desire to work as I’m so tired. Which is VERY out of character as I love writing and blogging. Hopefully I will recover, but my firm advice would be to take it slowly in the meantime (advice I’m not all that brilliant at following, by the way…) Take care and have a lovely Mothering Sunday, Kimber.

Happy Birthday to Mr. Caffinated! Oh man about the series out of order business. That is a pain. Hope you have a lovely breakfast this morning. We went yesterday and went early to beat any crowds. Hope you have a lovely Mother’s Day and week ahead!

Happy Mother’s Day Kim! Funny how things happen in our lives to make us realize we need to relax a minute, and I’m totally thrilled you’re going out to breakfast today. Anna from Herding Cats and I are headed out today as well to unwind. Birthdays are always so fun, especially with cake! Hugs…

Ah! It’s rare that it happens to me where I read a series out of order! I think the few times it happened it was in my pre-blogging years when I couldn’t have known better! LOL! Hope you have a fantastic Mother’s Day today and enjoy all your new reads!

Happy Mother’s Day, Kimbery! I hope you enjoy your morning out and also your relaxing unplugged time. It’s good to unplug sometimes.

You got some good looking books this week and since I just finished John Scalzi’s audiobook I’ll have to come and see what you thought! I really enjoyed it.

Happy Mother’s Day, Kim! I hope you have fun with your kids and your grandkids! 🙂
Haha your reading series out of order story is funny! It hasn’t happened to me yet, but that would be so confusing if it’s for a series that continues and that’s not a companion.
I will be reading The Garden of Small Beginnings soon and I can’t wait! Looking forward to seeing what you think of Buns also!
Happy reading, and have a good week ahead. 🙂

Happy Mother’s Day! So glad they are taking you out to breakfast. That’s great. Have a wonderful time. And hope you get that down time you need. 🙂 I know the feeling, though it seems when I try to take down time it’s because life is manic and I’m busy dealing with that. *sigh*

    Take care!

  16. Rita

Enjoy your breakfast and relax today! Only reading books allowed 🙂
I am reading Slightly South of Simple now, and really enjoying it. Perfect read for a sunny, calm Mother’s Day at home. Have a great week ahead!

Happy Mother’s Day! I hope the Twitter Party is still going by the time I get home from work! I have missed it every time I participate in the challenge. I’ve actually gotten past my half way point and I’m really hoping I go well beyond my anticipated goal. Need a little challenge self confidence builder! I hope you have a great day!

LOL that is exactly why I had one post this week on the blog and that was it, I was completely fried and realized half my reviews were half done and the others I hadn’t even started yet. *sigh* I’ll back into the grove of things right? :/
Happy Mother’s Day Kim, I hope you had a fabulous breakfast out with the family.

Happy Mother’ Day! My little man and hubby took me out to breakfast today too. We usually don’t go out and like you I prefer to avoid major holidays out and about. It was a nice breakfast with my family.

Have a great week, enjoy your book haul, and happy reading! ^_^

  20. Danielle

I hope you are having a wonderful Mother’s Day. Belated birthday wishes to Mr. Caffeinated. It sounds like you have found yourself scrambling a bit just as I have 😉 I seem to be horrid with my schedule lately. Have a wonderful week <3

  21. Jackie

I hope you get some order back into your life and just for today, remember, Mother’s come first, Have a good one!

  22. Laura

Yeah, When I start making silly mistakes, I know I’m doing too much! It’s good that you unplugged are are spending time with your family. I need to start submitting my links for the CleanSweep challenge!

  23. Sophia Rose

Sounds like it was a fun birthday and neat the family are taking your out for some Mother’s Day yummies. Yeah, I don’t like the crowded restaurants either, but its worth it for family get togethers. 🙂

Oh man, you did have a series of unfortunates. Reboot time. LOL

Nice ones in the haul pile. I heard that Buns is pretty good. Have a good week, Kimberly!

  24. Lorna

Hope your Mother’s Day meal was good and not a long wait. Also, Happy Birthday to your husband. I am looking forward to eventually reading Buns also and to reading your One Second review. Have a good week!
