What a week! Tuesday night while preparing Tacos for my family, I started feeling weird…I came down with something that resembled the flu. I had nausea, clamminess, and low-grade fever. The symptoms came and went all week, along with some others that have me concerned. I am going in for some testing this week. The kids moved to a bigger place this weekend, which meant Nonna and Gee-Gee had an extended sleepover party with the Royals. As you may have guessed, I am completely wiped out. My plans for today include pajamas, blankets, naps, and books. LOL Hope your week is amazing! Stay Caffeinated.

Hope you feel better! Get lots of rest. 🙂

I just finished Distress Signals (pretty good!) and looking forward to your thoughts on the new Mercy Thompson. I’m kinda optimistic about shadow Run too.

Hope you have a great Sunday.

Oh no! I’m so sorry to hear you’ve been unwell and I hope the tests come out fine and whatever it is goes away. I imagine that being sick combined when the slumber party just has you wanting go bed. Hope next week is fantastic and you’re feeling better soon!

I hope you feel better soon! Take care…and enjoy these books. The Blackbird Season looks good to me…I enjoyed another book by the author (The Vanishing Year).

    Thanks for sharing….

I’m sorry you haven’t been feeling well, Kim! I got a weird dizzy spell yesterday, and I ended up thinking it’s due to extreme fatigue…
I hope your plans for pyjamas, naps, blankets and books pan out for today. Feel better! *hugs*

That is really not cool. I hope it’s nothing major and it really is some sort of bug. This getting older stuff is kind of scary sometimes. Hopefully you did get some relaxation today! I keep meaning to look at your RAT and decide if I can work it in. I’ll go there now…

Sorry to hear you haven’t been feeling well Kimberly. I hope it’s just the flu and nothing serious! Good luck at the doctor’s office.
‘Bring Her Home’ by David J. Bell really sounds like a great read. And that cover is amazing.
I hope you feel better soon! Happy Reading!

I’m sorry to hear that you’ve not been well this week and that you’re now facing tests. I hope the doctors can get to the bottom of things soon. The Take Control of your TBR challenge sounds great – good luck with it. I’m slowly working on reading more of my TBR this year and am hoping to have a smaller TBR at the end of this year than I started with. It would help if I stopped buying books altogether but that’s just too hard! Hope you have fun discovering some good books on your TBR.

That’s funny that you mentioned it, because I have been feeling odd this week too. I’ve been feeling really tired, and there was one day thing week where my stomach was hurting on and off. I also have autoimmune disease, so I’m going to one of my doctors this week to talk about it. I just though that it was weird that we were both feeling weird/bad the same week. I hope that you feel better this week! 🙂

Hi Kimberley! Gosh, hope you feel better soon and get it sorted out! I haven’t been on the blogosphere for some time, will hopefully be back more now. Will look into your Take Control TBR challenge – seems like fun! I need to sort out my TBR list and I’ve actually listed two books today that have been on my TBR list. So I might as well combine everything….

Have a lovely week and good luck with everything.

Sorry to hear about your flu symptoms coming and going all week, that does sound weird. I hope the testing goes well. I got an e-copy for review of Until It Fades, I am looking forward to reading it. I hope you have a nice week!

    Still kickin’ your butt…..

I hope you feel better soon, Kimberly, and that the tests show it to be nothing serious. Your plans for today sound heavenly, and just the thing for a week in which you aren’t feeling well. Here’s to a better week ahead!

Oh no! Something must be going around! My mom has a nasty cold and then my niece was throwing up Friday morning but it seems by the afternoon she was all better! I’m just hoping that I am not next for either! Felt like I just got over a cold…it was January, really, but not all that long ago! LOL!

Nice new reads! Totally new to me ones! Hope you enjoy them all!

Aw, poor Kimba 🙁 are you better now? Maybe it’s a spring thing, cause I had some stomach trouble last week as well, ugh. The worst thing about feeling like this is that you can’t even read much cause you’re totally out of it. Hope you’ll be feeling better soon!

Sorry to hear that you are STILL under the weather! I hope the tests come back negative. Have you tried Oil of Oregano? Honestly, I swear by that stuff for anything viral or bacterial. Put three drops under your tongue three times a day, and it kills germs. I had a nagging cough that would not go away for weeks, and someone reminded me to try it. I had it in my cupboard all along and hadn’t thought to use it! It worked after two days, and I kicked myself for not thinking about it sooner! Anyway, be good to yourself today.

  18. Dragonfly

oh no. Sorry to hear that! The flu has been going around so maybe it is the flu. I hope they discover whatever it is so you can get treatment and get better soon. Though… I hope enjoy the down time while it lasts! being spoiled and reading LOTSA books 🙂

I hope you can figure out what’s going on so you can get back to normal soon. I have thyroid issues that cause small issues like that a lot and it can be quite taxing. In the meantime, get some rest and take it easy! I hope you are feeling better soon! 🙂

I hope you feel better and the doctor discovers what happened. You had a busy week with the royals so I hope you get to rest. I still haven’t read KA Tucker even though I met her at a book signing and have some of her books lol. Hopefully this year I’ll be able to finally read her books. Take care and I hope you have a great week!

Hope you feel better soon. My daughter and grandson both ended up in the ER this week because of an upper Respiratory Infection and poor kid also got an ear infection. There are some nasty viruses going around that everyone I know seems to be getting. Hope you are feeling better soon.

That does not sound good at all! I am not sure what it is, but this year seems to be full of bugs and ickiness. I had to take most of this week off to rest, I hope you have been able to do the same and find yourself feeling much better soon <3

Hi!! So I started to read The Bone Witch and then changed my mind. I will go back to it, I hope, but it kind of bore me. I got maybe a few chapters in. I’m so behind on my reading…this having a newborn thing…making three kids now…is cramping my style! *wink, wink* Anyways, have a great week!

Aww…I hope you feel better soon! I read Jessica Lemmon’s reply to the reader intolerant to typos. It makes me sad when readers will nitpick rather than enjoy the story. Jessica is right that the human brain will compensate and fill in the missing work or correct the typo and move on. I think some readers may just be obsessively compulsive about stuff like that. It’s really not the end of the world. At all. But there will always be people like that in this world.

I hope you feel better. This cold/flu, I’m not sure which has knocked me out really weirdly over two weeks as well. Fever, but not really, weak but not so much I’d say it’s the flu, but definitely worse than a cold… though now it’s just the cough that is lingering. Hope yours passes fast and you feel well soon enough!

So sorry to hear you have been sick. Maybe it’s all over with and was just a really ugly bug. Fingers crossed! Nobody else caught it from you? Anyway hope the tests work out good. I’ve got my 6 month abdomen scan coming up again this month to make sure my cancer is still on hiatus. Fingers crossed for that too!

I have preordered Etched in Bone and can’t wait to listen to it. If it really is the last one, it will be bittersweet. I also have the KA Tucker book for review and really looking forward to that as well. Hope your week is good!

  31. Taylor

Bummer! I hope it’s just ordinary cold/flu stuff and that you’re feeling 100% again very soon. Both my kids have colds and I just started feeling a tickle in my throat today, but I’m fighting it off like the plague! Hope your restful Sunday helped you!

My goodness Kim, I sure hope you get to the bottom of what’s going on. I’m glad you don’t ignore signals. It always seems like something comes up when there are tons of things going on. I’ve got to check out that email from Ms. lemon about errors. Sounds fun. Feel better soon. Hugs…RO

Oh no! I’m sorry you were so sick!!! That sounds just awful. I hope you had a lovely Sunday in PJs and blankets with your books and I hope you are feeling better!

I wanted to do the Take Control challenge…. But my TBR pile has me beat. A reading slump put me far behind and I HAVE to finish a couple of ARCs this month or I’ll feel even worse about myself. 🙁 I will still be trying to hit my TBR though – in my own way (AS EVER!).

Hope you’re having a lovely week!
