Sunday Post

Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted here @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead. See rules here: Sunday Post Meme

Christmas is in less than a week. *flails hands and checks to do list*I have guests coming for a week and HELLO I am not READY!! No reason to panic. Nope.  I will spend this week prepping for Christmas. I am almost done my shopping, so there will be lots of baking, food shopping, CLEANING, and wrapping.  I will be on a blog break until January 3rd.  I take these weeks every year to recharge my blogger batteries.  I will be trying my darnedest to stay offline (aside from work) so that I can reconnect with my family and friends. I also want to practice the art of being a sloth.  Maybe I will try my first Netflix binge.  I am leaving you with some awesome reviews, the Sunday Post and Caffeinated Top Tens. So be sure and stay caffeinated. I will check in next week during the Sunday Post. Have a wonderful holiday!

I’m not ready either! I’m more ready for the actual day than I thought I would be but there’s so many Christmas-y things that I haven’t gotten to and it’s making my me a little crazy! Enjoy your blog break! Have a great week and Merry Christmas!

Enjoy your break, they’re harder than they sound aren’t they? I think sometimes I’ll take a break and then I end up logging in “just for a minute” you know and then 2 hours goes by lol. Hope you have a great Christmas – and enjoy your Netflix binge if you get to! I highly recommend them… 🙂

I’m starting to panic about the guests coming to our house. Haha My weekend and the next two days are packed full and with my mom coming, I need to find time to make sure everything is perfectly tidy. She says she doesn’t care, but she does. And I don’t want to hear about it. LOL I hope you have a wonderful break. I am thinking of taking a good portion of January off. I will likely not be online much the next couple of weeks either. Definitely not on the weekends. Not with my mom in town. Have a Merry Christmas, Kim! Thanks for hosting The Sunday Post and bringing us all together.

We didn’t plan on doing anything this christmas (well Christmas Eve) like we normally do, (for the firs time in all 26 years of my life), but a few cousins contacted us and asked if they could come over. So we’ll be doing a small get together this year, and I’ve been helping my mom with some of the decorating.
I’m going to try to get some posts up so I can relax until the new year as well. I hope you have a lovely break Kim and that you enjoy your Christmas!

I’ve done none of my present-shopping but also have a large list of things I need to do to prep for Xmas.

Have heard great things about A Man Called Ove, so keen to hear what you think of it!

We’re doing Christmas just the six of us this year, so it will be nice and quiet. I still need to go food shopping, of course, especially as the stores will all be closed on the 25th and the 26th…
I can’t wait to have some quality family time, though, and I’ll be offline as well. End of year posts will adorn my blog, though, so that those who will be online can still visit me 🙂
    Have a wonderful week ahead and try not to stress! {{{hugs}}}

Enjoy your break. I am so excited for Christmas. I finish work on Wednesday for a few weeks and I am looking forward to the break. I have such a busy week finishing Christmas shopping and meeting up with friends but its the most wonderful time of year so I don’t care 😉 Have a great Christmas!

  8. Toady

I hope that you enjoy your blog break and have a nice time with your company. I am not quite done with everything either, and like you, I am not panicking.
I look forward to seeing what you will think of A Man Called Ove. It is on my TBR.

I can’t believe Christmas is a week away. I still need to get some presents and unfortunately we’ve got bad weather. I think I’ll be getting gift cards from Amazon. I meant to do some baking yesterday but it didn’t happen.

A Man Called Ove is one of my favorites. Can’t wait to see the movie on DVD.

Hope you have a great Christmas with your family.

I can’t believe we only have a week left. Aside from family staying with us it sounds like our weeks will be similar. I have a little shopping left, lots of baking, and cleaning on the agenda this week. I think taking a break is a wonderful idea to get all recharged for the new year. I’ve never been an audio book fan but I’m kind of tempted to sign up for the challenge. Maybe it will push me to love them. I hope you have an amazing holiday. A Merry Christmas and see you in the new year!!!!! Happy reading and enjoy your break.

It weird to realize how close Christmas is suddenly, last week it still felt quite far away and now it’s almost Christmas already. Good luck with the Christmas prepping and enjoy your break!

I have to finish buying stuff for Christmas dinner but otherwise I’m good. Hope everything comes together for you. Have a great week!

I’m not ready, either. I haven’t even written my Christmas cards! But at least the only guest I’ve got is my son and it shouldn’t take too long to get the room straight for him… We are not doing Christmas here this year, so at least I don’t have to worry too much all the million details involved in all of that… Have a lovely Christmas – particularly special this year with your new grandson – and at some stage get a chance to unwind and recharge your batteries. Hope you enjoy your holidays and the break!! And wow!! Nice new reads! I got The Turn too and am sooooo excited!! Also excited for Wayfarer which I might have to wait for, but it’s cool as my review pile…which had finally gotten under control has now gotten out of control! LOL! I guess not really but it’s mostly because I want to read a few TBR books before going back to obligations!! Happy Reading!

Oh my gosh, I could have written this post! I am in the EXACT situation as far as being ready for Christmas. Almost done )but not quite done) with so many things. Today I am writing down all the last minute things I need to do so I don’t forget something. Best wishes to you and your family.

  16. Melissa (My words and pages)

Have fun recharging your batteries and enjoy your time with friends and family this week and holiday!! The very best to you all!

**hugs** Here’s to another great year. 🙂

  17. Laura

Yeah, taking a blog break is essential to charging up your batteries. I chuckled at your wish to practice the art of being a sloth. I need to get away…somewhere hot and sunny preferably.

  18. Kathy

I just need to get stocking stuffers for the kids then I’ll be done with the shopping. I can’t believe how fast December flew by. I’ll also be cleaning and baking this week. I hope you have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year!!

Have a wonderful break– enjoy your family time … and don’t stress the small stuff, as the title of this book says– it’s all small stuff! Your family wants you, not a clean house

I look forward to you coming back after the holidays, as we all do!

I hope you enjoy your unplugged time off! We recently ditched out cable and jumped on Netflix. We are currently watching Orange is the New Black. I can finally see why everyone is talking about that show. It is really good. Anyways, have a great week!

Enjoy every moment of your time off and hope those batteries recharge properly!

Good luck with all the Christmas prep and I’m sure enough got it all under control. Can’t wait to see you in the new year with all the updates!

    P. S. Enjoy Wayfarer! I’m eagerly awaiting that one.

My two younger kids aren’t out of school until Thursday this week and since my oldest is home, I have some help with all my final preparations. 🙂 Good luck in getting everything done and ENJOY YOUR TIME WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS!!
    Thanks for the shoutout, friend. And the little something I mentioned heading your way will be later than expected because in checking my list twice, I realized I hadn’t checked it off. 😉 {{{HUGS}}}

Hopefully you can get it all done early and be able to rest a bit before everyone gets there? I traveled this year-over 9 hour drive-a couple of days ago. I needed this break! Anyway, I hope you enjoy your company and have a great Christmas!

  24. Trish

Don’t sweat Kim, it always gets done in the end! Enjoy your blog break 🙂 I’ve been skipping Sunday Posts for the last few weeks as I’ve been working every weekend but I can’t wait to rejoin in January.
    Happy Christmas!
