Hard to believe it’s the 4th of December already!  For the month of November, I read/listened to 25 books and completed my Goodreads challenge of 250 books. Which means Decembers reads are just icing on the cake. It has gotten very cold. I had to dig out my fingerless gloves to type on my laptop. My RA is complaining loudly. I hate to say it, but I have developed a cough. Fingers crossed this is just a minor cold. Now is not the time to get the nasty stuff. Oh and that white stuff….we got 3 inches of it yesterday. I hope you have a wonderful week and as always stay caffeinated!

250 BOOKS?!!! My goodness! I’ve never reached 200 and I really hope I get to do it one year but we’ll see. I’ve come close though (170) so maybe I can do it.
Clayton looks so cute! God bless him.
    Have a good week!

Lovely to see a pic of Clayton and 25 books in November is huge! Very impressive.

Of course it’s the opposite here in Australia and parts of my state have struggled with really high temperatures these past few days!

The Prince is adorable Kimberly! I hope your cold is just a little one and doesn’t get worse. We have had one snowfall so far this fall and that was just an inch or so a couple weeks ago. I love snow so I’m super jealous! I hope you have a lovely week and feel better soon!

    Clayton is adorable!

What an amazing number of books you’ve read this year…and this month.

I got When All the Girls Have Gone this week, and I’m excited. I am eyeing your book The Orphan’s Tale.

Hope you are not really sick, but just something minor. Enjoy your week!

  5. Greg

Aw, such a cute pic! And Silence Fallen looks good- I need to start that series.

Hope you’re not sick sick and it’s just a minor thing. And 3 inches? Wow. We’re supposed to get some snow tomorrow but I don’t think a lot? Hopefully… 🙂

Right. I have some prescription cough meds. I am crossing my fingers I won’t need to make a trip to the Doctors for harder stuff. Congrats on reaching your goal.

  6. Michelle Gilmore

Well done on your challenge! I’m hating the cold right now…because all we will get will be rain until about Feburary or so and then the snow will show up.

I hope you feel better soon and that you stay warm!

Prince Clayton is so sweet! I just want to snuggle him! That pic makes me miss the Tornado as a baby! Hope the cold is only a minor one and goes away quickly and you feel better soon. Snow sounds crazy! I’ve been complaining about temps in the 50s! Hearing about snow puts it in perspective. Have a great week!

It Started with a Kiss looks adorable. I see you’ll be reviewing Queen of Shadows. I have that one to read and review still and am so behind in that series! Love the grandbaby pic too! I hope your cold gets better. My husband is sick with one right now and it’s already caught two of my kids. I’ve been taking stuff and getting plenty of sleep to ward it off but almost every day I feel like I’m starting to catch it. So far, I’ve kept it off, but we’ll see. Have a great week!

    • kimbacaffeinate

Yes, would you believe I bought Queen of Shadows on release day? I finally read it in November. I have the next book and hope to devour it soon. Ugh, I was up all night because I kept coughing. Finally sat on the couch with a cough drop in my mouth and fell asleep upright!

  9. Lexxie

Congrats on finishing your GR challenge a month early! Mine is a lot lower than yours, and I’ve had trouble keeping up this year.
Clayton is so beautiful! I would probably spend my time just looking at him, and smelling that baby smell 😉
    Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading. {{{HUGS}}}

Thanks Maureen. It was pretty once we got home. We are expecting some rather chilly temps this week. Fireplace, blankets and hot tea are on the menu this week!

    • kimbacaffeinate

Oh, Carol, I think I am in trouble. My cough is horrible and kept me up all night. I am trying to stay one step ahead of it..but the signs of needing an exorcism are all there!

  12. Lola

You got a lot of books read last month! And ya for reaching your Goodreads goal, i set mine very low, so I already reached my goal months ago. Neat you got some snow already! We have gotten some colder days, but no snow yet. I hope your cough doesn’t develop into a nasty cold. have a good week!

Congrats on completing your Goodreads challenge. I don’t think I’m going to make mine this year, but that won’t stop me from trying again next year 🙂

Snow? We haven’t gotten any yet and I’m just fine with that 🙂

Prince Clayton is so precious and beautiful.

    Have a great week!

  15. Mandy

Looks like you had an awesome month. Congratulations on meeting your challenge. I’m so behind I had to drop mine to 200 in hopes of motivating myself. I’m a little jealous of your new Mercy Thompson book. Great picture of Clayton he’s growing so fast. I hope you have a great week! Stay warm and I hope that cold doesn’t stick to you.

What a beautiful picture of Prince Clayton! It’s snowing here as I type this, but it’s supposed to turn to rain later.

Congratulations on meeting your Goodreads goal already. I’m going to be a few books behind with mine. Oh well!

I hope you have a good week, Kimba, and that your cough doesn’t get worse.

Nice new reads!! Most of these are totally new to me ones! Hope you enjoy them all!!

Congratulations on hitting your Goodreads goal! That’s so exciting! I actually hit mine too already. My goal was 200 books this year. And 25 books in November is HUGE! You rock! It is getting cold around here and we had a really light dusting of snow but nothing that has really stuck yet. It’s coming tho. I’m a big sissy about the cold. lol!

Thank you Michelle. I really wanted to do Winter Coyer, but also want to get a nice jump on my ARCS before I begin watching both babies in February, so I will have to skip as they don’t count. 🙁

  19. Melissa (My words and pages)

Oh look at Clayton! He’s so adorable.

Well, I’m back at it. November’s been a busy month, and I have a feeling December is going to be the same way. Hope things are going well! 😀

  20. Toady

I see that you are still ticking away your Christmas reads. I love the holiday books and should pick up another. I have read one since HoHoHoRat.
250 Books! That is amazing. I am especially impressed now that I know about you helping with watching your granddaughter. I am sure it helps to take advantage of audio books. I would love to do that myself, but have an awful time paying attention unless the situation is just right. I end up listening to only one or two a year when we travel, and that’s it.
    Your grandson is absolutely perfect.

Yes, I read them all during HoHoHoRAT, but decided to save some for December reviews. It took time with the audiobooks. At first, I had to sit with headphones on and concentrate. Now I can do mundane tasks and listen at the same time. I listened to over 60 this year.

  21. Kristin

YAY!! I can’t believe you completed your goal of 250 books this year already! That’s outstanding!!!!! I’m not going to make my goal but I’m not bummed about it, I increased it from last year to see what I would do so it’s all good!

Can I just say that Clayton is absolutely beautiful?!?!?! And no baby marks or acne… how is that possible??? 😀

Hey, I’m kind of surprised you didn’t pick up the Katee Robert book on the Montlake email. It seems so totally up your alley. I was thinking of you when I picked it up 😉

Take it easy and feel better NOW, dammit. I command it so… please? xoxoxo

    • kimbacaffeinate

Ah, I am actually holding out for the audio review of Robert’s book Kristin. Nope, not a blemish on Clayton. He is perfect. I will probably bump up my goal is 275.. although I will be watching 2 babies come February so maybe I should leave the number alone!

  22. Kathy

Your grandson is adorable! This cold weather makes me lazy so I wish I can sleep all day like he does lol. It is cold here in Sacramento too (probably not as cold as where you live) but my hands and legs ache. Hopefully we both stay warm for the upcoming weeks. I hope the cough doesn’t linger too long. Feel better and have a good week!

Thank you, Kathy. Our temps will be low 20’s for highs and single digits for lows at the end of the week.I plan to put the fireplace on and snuggle under blankets with tea and a good book.

  23. La La in the Library

Be really careful because what I had was the plague. It has been a month and I still have one blocked up ear and a wheeze. Take magnesium. It got cold here, too. Ugh. I don’t mind the snow, but I hate the cold. Clayton is a doll. Does he sleep that well at night? Have a wonderful HEALTHY week. 🙂

Well done on reaching your reading goal for the year! I’m definitely coming down with a cold too and I’m really hoping it’s not worse than a minor cold. I hope you feel better soon 🙂

Thanks Emma, about 60 of the books were audio. I use to be able to read 300+ Those were the years between having children and

  26. Rita

Oh my goodness!! He is a beautiful baby boy! Just look at his petite nose and mouth 🙂
Good luck and God bless with him, Kim! Congrat to your daughter and Son-I-L too!

You reminded me with Queen of Shadows that I have to read Heir of Fire in the Maas series that I haven’t gotten to yet. I like her style of writing and it’s not a genre I usually dip into, but if I find more books like this I will add more in… have a wonderful and less hectic week ahead!

I used to read fast but I am slowing down. 25 books is a great number! And that baby is precious. Does his shirt say Little Brother? We haven’t had snow yet but I am kind of wishing for some so my allergies would let up! As long as it clears up for my road trip to Kentucky I am couple of weeks! I hope your cough doesn’t get worse! Have a great week

  28. Heidi

Ahh Clayton is so cute. I am awaiting the arrival of new nephew any day now. I am glad you met your goal. I am going to lucky to meet my goal of 15o this year down from 200 but with everything that happened……. I should make it.

I hope mother and baby arrive safely. This was not the year to worry about the goal. We had no advanced notice for my Dad, so aside from avoiding genres for a while, I was able to escape through reading.

  29. Tyler H. Jolley

WTG on your goal! I knew you’d smash it. I can’t wait to see what your 2017 goal is. The cold, I’m so sorry, I know that is so hard on people with RA. I hope the rest of the winter is mild.

  30. Lark

250 books already? You ROCK, Kimba! That is fantastic. Please take care of yourself with the colder weather and especially with a cough. We all care about you and want you to stay healthy. And thank you for linking to two of my posts today! I took you at your word and designed a Sunday Post dragon logo to try out, but I made sure you’re still clearly designated as the host. 🙂 Have a great week and cuddle up in a nice warm blanket with some hot coffe or cocoa!

Keeping fingers crossed you don’t get sick. I’ve seen many of my east coast online friends and family sharing snow fall pictures. I do miss the snow at times. It’s always so pretty when it falls and just curling up with a good book by the fire while it snows was wonderful.
Wonderful books you got this week. I’m excited for Silence Fallen. Big fan of Patrica Briggs. Have a great week!

  32. ShootingStarsMag

Clayton is so cute! I hope you aren’t getting sick. That’s never fun!!! I do like some snow – but it can definitely make getting sick easier. haha I think I’m supposed to get snow this week sometime, but not sure how much.

p.s. LulaRoe leggings are great because they are NOT thin and see-through. I hate that too! 🙂
