Goals and Challenges

This year, I read 269 books towards my Goodreads challenge of 250 books.  For 2017 I have set the bar to 275. In addition to an overall goal, I like to push myself by participating in focused challenges. Last year I focused on new releases and series enders. This year I am tackling audiobooks and adding the Backlist Challenge. Grab a caffeinated beverage, check out my goals and perhaps you’ll decide to join in me.

COYER takes place all year but is broken up into mini events where the rules change slightly. The once constant is cleaning out your eReader and Audio App. It is hosted by Berls @Fantasy is More Fun , Stormi @  Books, Movies, Reviews.  Oh My! and Michelle @ Because Reading The first event is Coyer Blackout. You can learn about it and the other upcoming Coyers @ Coyer Challenge. These challenges are loads of fun from weekly activities to social engagement. I am working on ARCS, and Kindle eBooks I have downloaded.

I keep track of my challenges using the UBB Reading Challenge Plugin
Please Note: End dates on my challenges may differ from those of actual challenge. This is because books read are not added to widgets until they post on the blog.

These challenges sound fantastic. I should sign up for one of them but I don’t know that I’d succeed. I’m such a mood reader.

oh I love that you are doing these challenges!! I am also participating in the Audio book Challenge as well. I would do the backlist one, but I am already doing another challenge I am hosting that is very similar to it. I do love focusing on those older releases though. Good luck with these in year 2017!!

I’m also joining the Audiobook Challenge! I’m staying on the smaller side of the goals, but I hope to listen to at least six audiobooks next year. Good luck in 2017! I have no doubt you’ll do fabulous for all your goals!

I tried really hard this year not to nab a bunch of challenges but still ended up with 7 which is really about half of what I did this year. I did pick out ones that were geared to how I want my reading to go in 2017 and what fits my reading mood. 🙂 I have to admit that I just had to not look at that master list that Michelle put on COYER or I would have been sunk as there are so many cool ones out there….lol.

Good luck with your challenges I am sure you will do great!

You are amazing – you blew your GR challenge away! The Audiobook Challenge looks perfect for you, and I’m glad you’re doing The Backlist Reader Challenge and COYER. I’m trying hard to limit myself to just a few challenges this year; so far, I’ve only committed to the second two. But I do want to read a few more audiobooks this year, so I might think about the Audiobook Challenge as well. Best of luck — I know you’ll do well!

I wish I could read as fast as you. Even if I had no job and just sat at home all day I still couldn’t read as many books in a year as you do. LOL I have raising my GR goal from 2016’s since I won’t have to read for school past May and even before then I won’t have to read as much as I did back in the Fall. YAY for more fun time reading.
