Sunday Post

Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted here @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead. See rules here: Sunday Post Meme

This week was quieter for me, although I still didn’t get in as much as reading as I wanted. For the month of October, I managed 20 books/audios. I am still on target for my Goodreads goal, and currently  at 227/250. With the readathon later this week, I am hoping to finish the goal by the end of November. I have been picky about accepting any reviews or starting new series. I want to try to get to some of my own books.  The baby mama had a false alarm on Friday, and while she was a tad disappointed, the little Prince will be full term next week, so I am ok with waiting..lol Psst…do not tell her that. I hope you have a wonderfully bookish week and for goodness sake stay caffeinated!

I can’t seem to add my link… (Although I’ve spent much of today sick in bed, so I might be confused!)

Love the pic of you with Princess Sophia – so very cute.

And your October reading totals sound good to me. I’m all over the place at the moment!

I almost forgot about daylight savings. I just remembered earlier this evening. Gah although I’ll take that extra hour! Hope you’re having a good weekend Good job on the books!

Nice pic, little one looks happy! 🙂

Love your pic of your and your little pumpkin. Twenty books in October – 227 for the year. Wow! I’m in awe… As for the false alarm re baby arrival – I’m with you, though I also fully sympathise with mama’s desire to see the business over with… Have a great week and take care.

Well done on your reading goals so far!! I really wish I could break clear of 150 in a year and keep it there, my yearly total always fluctuates between 130 and 160 depending on stress and the amount of reading slumps I have.
Sophia looks so cute in her costume! My niece is still too young for Halloween, she’s just now 3 months (as of today) but she had a cute little witch outfit that she wore around the house.
I hope you have a great week this week!

  5. Lexxie

Princess Sophia is SO cute in her halloween costume, and her grandparents look very happy to be with her 🙂
I bet your daughter is so ready for Clayton to arrive. That last month of pregnancy seemed to last for a whole year…
    Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading. {{{HUGS}}}

  6. Trish

Such a cute little pumpkin! ive head great things about Aleatha Romig and I even own some of her books. Which I must read soon. Hope you love her new book.

  7. Christina T

Cute picture! Maybe next time this week the little prince will be here too 🙂

A readathon sounds like fun. Best of luck with your reading goals. I’m trying to balance reading review books with library books. I also want to get back to my copy of The Lord of the Rings before the end of the year.

  8. Samantha

Oh Princess Sophia is TOO CUTE!!!
I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the Lauren Blakely book. I have heard good things about her audiobooks but I haven’t tried one yet!

Awe! Princess Sophia makes an adorable pumpkin 😀
Like you I have been very selective with review books recently. I fell behind last year because of personal issues and I’m still trying to catch up. Plus I’d like the opportunity to read some of the books I’ve purchased and haven’t gotten to yet. Hope you have a fantastic week! Look forward to joining you on the read-a-thon 🙂

  10. A Voracious Reader

Awwwww! Princess Sophia looks too cute! And Cutie Kyleigh was also a pumpkin though her costume was more a cross between pumpkin and fairy. A Fairy Pumpkin, maybe? LOL I can’t wait for Prince Clayton’s arrival! Maybe he’ll be born on Thursday, the Marine Corps birthday. 😀 I hope you have a fantastic week, Kim!

Sophia looks adorable! Cutest pumpkin ever!
I was a little slow with reading last month, hoping to make up for it with the HoHoHo, I already started reading christmas books because I just can’t wait any more 🙂 I am so in the mood for them.
I hope you have a fantastic week, Kim! Happy Reading! ox

    • kimbacaffeinate

Ha, I read a few to post reviews of during the thon to get folks in the mood, so I have two winter books and three holiday books to read.

  12. Lola

Glad to hear this was a quieter week for you. I set my goodreads goal so low I already reached it halfway through the year, I seriously underestimated how much I would read. I’ve been pickier about accepting new review requests as well, although I did accept one this week and got a netgalley book as sometimes a book just sounds too good to ignore.
Sophia her Halloween costume looks so cute! I hope you’ll have a great week!

Awwww!!! Princess Sophia is soooo precious!! And the pumpkin costume is too cute! I remember–through pictures–my sister and I both wore a pumpkin costume as well! Lol!

Nice new reads too! Totally new to me ones but I hope you enjoy them!!

Omgawd, how precious is that pumpkin costume?! It was cold here sio most of the kids who came to my door were all covered up and I couldn’t see their costumes. It will be wonderful to have your new grand there for the holidays. Not very much longer now! Have a fantastic week. 🙂

You’ve read a lot of books so far 🙂 I had originally set my goal for the year at 100, but I surpassed that and adjusted it. It seems like I have to adjust my goals again LOL

Such a cute pic Kimba! Hope you have a great week 🙂 ~Aleen

Sophia is an adorable pumpkin. She is growing up so fast. I hope all goes well with your grandson’s delivery. I wasn’t going to make my Goodreads goal so I had to reduce it. Next year I won’t sign up for too many reading challenges lol. I hope you have a great week!

Look at that cute little pumpkin! So darling! I know your daughter feels ready to get this baby born, but you’re right, full-term is probably healthier. Congratulations on how you’re doing with your GR goal, and have fun with your HoHoHoRAT reading — I’m looking forward to getting started!

  18. Tressa

Lol! I think it’s okay for her to make it to her due date too, but I know how hard it is when you’re so uncomfortably pregnant and wanting to meet the little one. 🙂 Love the Halloween pic! Very fun!!

I signed up for the RAT, but didn’t put it on my calendar. 0.0 I need to look at that post again and get my books ready. I have a crazy week this week, so I probably won’t get any reading in for it until next week.

I hope you have a fabulous week!

  19. Lorna

I love the picture of you, your husband and Sophia! Such a cute costume too. So exciting that the baby is almost here. It’s normal to have some false alarms, but you are right, let the baby come when he’s supposed to! Have a great week!

  20. Rita

Can’t wait to “meet” Prince Clayton on your blog! Here’s hoping all goes smoothly with his delivery and for your daughter! The pic of you, hubs and Sophia is beyond precious 🙂

I am excited to join you for the Holiday Readathon this year. It’s going to be fun. You can slip your kindle into your bag when you go to the hospital this week to meet the new arrival… an early Christmas gift for your family.

The doc said they would induce before Thanksgiving. So I imagine they will schedule something at her next appointment, this upcoming Friday. Yes, have Kindle will travel!

A young friend’s baby, a little princess, is here! 8 lbs. 7 oz, 21 1/2 inches long! Because baby was so big, she required a C section, but baby is VERY healthy and Mama is healing nicely. Daddy, a first time, very young dad, is over the moon. Mom and Dad have a church in Texas, and little Ana is welcomed by a whole church full of aunts, uncles, great-aunts and great-uncles. We are going to wait until the hullaballoo is settled down and go down for a visit. I left my Sunday (Evening)Post for you at http://powerfulwomenreaders.wordpress.com

Princes Sophia is just the cutest happiest looking pumpkin! I’m sure mama is ready, but yeah, full term is probably best. Congrats on your goal, you’re so close! I’m looking forward to the RAT – hoping to catch up with my goal 🙂 Happy reading!

Well done for being on track with your GR goal! I’m also on track but my goal is a lot lower than most bloggers that I have seen. Juggling work, a young family AND the requirements of blogging in itself has slowed down my reading progress!

Love the pic of the princess. Gorgeous! And hope you get to meet your little prince soon. <3

You’ve read 227 books this year?? Wow!! That’s amazing. I set my Goodreads goal on reading 120 books. But I’m definitely not going to make it. I hope I can reach my goal next year though.

I’m looking forward to HoHoHo! I will have to work during the day, but I’ll try to catch up in the evenings. 🙂

    Have a great week!

The thon should be fun, I know some have either Friday or Monday off for holiday, but I manage to get most of my reading done on the weekends.

  25. Bookworm Brandee

I still can’t believe you read as much as you do! 😉 I hope you had a lovely weekend, Kim. Maybe the Prince will arrive on the 18th – that’s my younger daughter’s birthday. 😉 He’ll get here when he’s ready though, right? That seems to be the way of it. I know you’ll be one proud Nonna! I love the picture of you, Gee Gee and the Princess. She’s one cute lil’ punkin! Have a great week!

    • kimbacaffeinate

My daughter will be thrilled if he does, if not they will schedule her to be induced the following week. I love Princess Sophia’s cheesy smile, Thanks Brandee!

Cutie in her costume. The newest baby in our family arrived a week early on Halloween, as much as my niece tried to hold her in, she was anxious to get here. Exciting waiting for a new baby.

Love the Halloween picture. I’m hoping to blast through a few books the next two weeks whilst I’m off on holiday from work. I’d love to take part in a readathon but I’d never finish a book, if I read on my own accord I’m more likely to read.

Fingers crossed for a timely arrival of the little prince 🙂
