Sunday Post

Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted here @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead. See rules here: Sunday Post Meme

This week was a busy one for me. I felt like every night I was up working past my bedtime. I did finally make my hosting move on Thursday. If I didn’t reply and visit you back, it means your comment went to the older server. I panicked on Friday/Saturday when things weren’t working, but a super friendly tech call solved the problem. Plugins broke. I am waiting until Monday to reinstall one of them it and see if the issue resolves.  I have oodles of reviews to write and hope to make that my focus this week. I cannot believe October ends, and November begins this week! The holiday season will be quickly upon us!  I have to share my daughter is in the 36th week of her pregnancy (this is Princess Sophia’s Momma) , and her last visit showed she was 3cm dilated and 50% effaced. Doctor said either naturally or induced Prince Clayton will arrive before Thanksgiving! This Nonna is sooo excited!  I hope the week ahead includes some chocolate and a great read. Stay Caffeinated!

Happy Halloween! Tomorrow anyway. Glad your host/ server issues are sorting themselves out- what a pain. Sounds like you have it under control though. Yeah the holiday season- people are already talking about Thanksgiving and I’m like already?? Although come to think of it I don’t mind- food after all lol.

    Have a nice week. 🙂

Now that is something to be thankful for! Shouldn’t be long for the new baby now:)

I’m having some issues too. Not sure what to do about it either as my host says it’s not them and my email provider says it’s not from my end, but I’m not getting email notifications from the blogs I follow. I’m wracking my brain trying to figure it out!

  3. Kristen

That’s great that you got the hosting move done with what sounds like minimal issues. (I mean, your site seems to have everything in place, so that’s good!) And aww, yay that your grandbaby will be here soon!

Get some good sleep and have a great week 🙂

I’m glad your move went relatively smoothly, and I hope the remaining glitches get ironed out soon. And you must be so excited about the impending arrival of Prince Clayton! Have a great week and a safe and happy Halloween!

The move did go well, but you know how moving is. You hit little snags, a piece of furniture doesn’t fit etc. I cannot wait for the Prince to get here.

  5. Michelle

This year started off so slow but has progressed way too quickly lately. And yay for Prince Clayton! That must be so exciting for everyone!
I hope this week goes much smoother for you and that you get some time to type up some reviews.

Oh my, how exciting about Prince Clayton! My second child arrived at 37 weeks, but we didn’t have any signs in advance, he kind of just popped out 😉
I’m glad your hosting transfer worked OK, I know you were stressed out about it.
We turned our clocks back this weekend, and it’s always a bit weird to me. I prefer turning back the time, though, it’s so much easier in the mornings.
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading!

  7. Trish

Very exciting that the new family addition will be here before you know it! And that’s great that you are moved over ok to your new server. I hope all the initial hiccups are nearly out of the way and then it’s back to business as normal for you.
Claire Mackintosh is on my tbr so I hope you enjoy her book. And Happy Halloween.

  8. Samantha, The Book Disciple

Yay for your daughter! I hope her last few weeks of pregnancy go well! I’m glad you were able to get your server issues sorted. I know that can be really stressful! I’m sure you are glad it all over now!
    Have a great week!

Congratulations on getting your blog running from where you would like it to be. You say that you panicked, yet from this side of the net you look cool as a cucumber. All that bother, and you just navigate it around and get it in place. I don’t know how you do it. I made the move from WordPress to self hosted WordPress once, and even that overwhelmed me to no end.
I See You sounds completely intense! I added it to my TBR and am going to evaluate my stack to see if I can fit it in for review.

I moved hosting twice in 2 weeks, and both came with their own set of issues, downtime etc. This was the first time I moved since I started on self-hosting. You don’t really know a host until you try them.

      • Toady

I’ll say. I went with one once that was set up to not allow email replies to comments. What the hell good is that? I got overwhelmed with finding solutions to stuff and just went back to Blogger. Self hosted Word press has a lot of advantages, but I am a simpleton when it comes to technical stuff.

Hooray for Prince Clayton! You will have one more thing to be thankful for on Thanksgiving. I hope Sophia has fun trick-or-treating. I am glad your hosting problems are most likely over. Have a wonderful week and a happy Halloween.

I hope your hosting troubles will be over now that you switched again! And sorry to hear you stayed up working past your bedtime so many days, I hope next week is a bit quieter. Sounds like you don’t have to wait too long anymore before you get to meet your new grandchild! Have a great week!

I do too, it was my father’s name so it makes it all the more special. Sophia is a pumpkin, and she looks adorable. Yes, I will post pics on my personal Facebook.
      I am hanging!

OOh nice! Hope things continue to go well with her pregnancy! It’s funny, we have sooo many November birthdays in our family. Well, it was 5, now it’s 4, And oddly enough they’re all within a week of each other too!

Hope you enjoy your new reads!!

Thank you, Melanie. Don’t tell my daughter, but I am hoping the baby doesn’t come until at least next week. I need a week to get caught up on things.lol

    • kimbacaffeinate

The second move went smoothly, it was just a plugin that caused my blog to basically break. I think we are all good now, but I will monitor closely this week.

  14. Lampshade Reader

Congratulations! How exciting it must be for you! That will be a very Happy Thanksgiving indeed 🙂

I’m sorry about your technical problems. I had one this week too, when I updated my theme and all my settings disappeared! Luckily, the lady who runs the theme is super sweet and has great customer service skills.

Hope you have a great week and Happy Halloween! ~Aleen

Best wishes for a speedy but healthy birth of the impending Prince 🙂 Sounds like daughter will be giving birth sooner rather than later with the way she’s progressing, and it’s a second birth. Sophia must be soooo excited to meet her little brother!

I also want to read I See You and think it will be an awesome psychological thriller. Have a great week ahead, Kim, and hope you have a spooky good Halloween with the Princess. What is her costume this year?

How exciting!! Congrats on the impending birth and best wishes. I’m glad everything went fairly smooth with your move. Have a great week!

  17. Kathy

October flew by fast and congratulations on the impending birth of your grandson. Your holidays are going to be extra special this year! I also migrated my blog to a new host and it didn’t go as smoothly as I thought it would. I’m also having problems with my plug-ins but hopefully we’ll both get this straightened out. Have a great week Kim!!

I kicked out 4 of them today and have them scheduled. For now I am caught up on all reviews. With the baby coming I figured it was better to be on schedule with things.

  20. Di

Hope the blog issues are all resolved soon for you. Sorry it’s been such a mission.

Very exciting news for Nonna! Prince Clayton will be here so soon! What a lovely Thanksgiving it will be.

Advance congrats on the upcoming new addition to the family! I cannot imagine being that far along THAT early though! I went almost 42 weeks before my daughter made her appearance! It was exhausting! Haha.
Have a great (spooky) week, Kimba! 😀

Not able to link up my Sunday Post. Just wanted to let you know. I know you have been experiencing some issues with the switch <3

    • kimbacaffeinate

Yes, my daughter was worried he would share his birth with a holiday or worse, be a December baby. So she is delighted, not to mention running out of room!

  23. Laurie

Best wishes on the upcoming birth of your new grandbaby! My kids have informed me they are not having babies 🙁 I’m betting they’ll change their minds, eventually!

    • kimbacaffeinate

This is Princess Sophia’s mommy so this is her second go although her first was such a piece of cake. I mean who goes on their due date for first baby and delivers in 8 hours total?

    • kimbacaffeinate

My thoughts exactly Roberta. I caught up on reviews today and will monitor the site closely. My daughter and her husband are excited as is Princess Sophia.

  24. Nise'

A new baby! Congratulations to the whole family. What a great way to celebrate. My niece is due close to Thanksgiving too. Loved Magic Binds, I am sure you will as well. Hope all the website stuff goes well.

I hear you on the busy week. I traveled to PA for my ortho school’s 100 year reunion. It was so nice to see so many people from my alma mater but I’m glad to be home. Congrats on your daughter’s pregnancy nearing its end. Babies are such a blessing.

  26. Charlie

I have been a horrible blogger this month. I didn’t even get up a post on Sunday, but I had a moment to stop in and visit with everyone. I hope all the issues were solved with your plug-ins. All of that is beyond me and a reason I’m not yet ready to make that kind of move for my blog. Prince Clayton will be here before you know it! Can’t wait to see pictures!

    • kimbacaffeinate

I think we are all good at Caffeinated. Sorry things have been hectic or perhaps you just needed time away. I keep learning more each day on the technical end. It is both scary and fun.
