I had a lovely birthday and thank you for all the wonderful birthday wishes. I only received one gift card for books as apparently my family feels that I have oodles of books. *hangs head and stares at Amazon wishlist* However, my hubby knows the way to my heart and bought me a reading chair. It’s a recliner that goes all the way back, looks feminine and now resides in my bedroom. I am loving it! We also ended up getting a 65 inch computer smart tv with soundbar and woofer that will be installed on the 12th. Do not ask me how this happened as I do not know.  I neglected to share my September numbers so here goes: I managed to read/listen to 23 books. As of October 1st I am 18 ahead on Goodreads 206/250. I hope your weather is good and your coffee is strong. Stay Caffeinated!!

I had thought chair and ottoman when i thought about recliners, I kept imagining my Dad’s clunker..but Lane makes lovely feminine one.

Congrats on the recliner, yay! A reading chair is a good thing. 🙂 And how about that TV? Woah that sounds awesome. How will you ever read with that action going on? Ha ha I’m sure you’ll find a way.

    Have a fab weekend Kimba!

That distraction is in the family room and my chair is in the bedroom..lol The soundbar and woofer make it sound like we are at the movies.

  2. Deborah

Oh, nice chair and it’s the perfect gift! Of course I read in the bath so a chair would be wasted on me! 😉

And the new computer (and accessories) sounds great as well! I’m glad you had a good birthday!

I haven’t soaked in the tub in almost a year, and I have a jacuzzi tub. I prefer snuggling under blankets 🙂 Oh it was a smart tv….for the hubby..LOL

  3. Kristen

Aww, sorry your family didn’t get you more gift cards for books! The non bookworms just don’t understand that we can never have too many, haha. That chair looks awesome though!

Right, and it’s not like I don’t love all the things given to me, but when they asked what I wanted I told them gift cards for books…

  4. Adriana

Your family doesn’t understand you but it looks like your husband knows your heart!
I was just looking on these different websites how many throw pillows and mugs have bookish things on them that I would love to have! There are never too many books or bookish things for readers.

    • kimbacaffeinate

My hubby and children are drooling over the TV. Only my hubby can take me out for a gift and come home with a big toy for himself..bwahaha.

  5. Michelle

I love your new chair!! I totally understand family not getting you gift cards….I go through it every year at some point be it for my birthday or for Christmas. *sigh* But it’s always nice to get other goodies as well.
I hope you had an awesome week, and that you get to spend some quality time in your new chair with a good book this week!

I love it too Michelle, thank you. But why do they ask us what we want and then get something else..lol It’s all good though, I am planning to treat myself to the top five books on my wishlist.

  6. Lexxie

I love your new recliner, it looks comfy and stylish all at once! I bet you love it for your reading.
I’m glad you had a great birthday, and what is up with our families thinking we have ‘enough’ books, anyway?
    Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading {{{hugs}}}

    • kimbacaffeinate

Thanks Lexxie. I may sleep in it today. The Princess’s momma called last night at 1 am, Princess Sophia would not go to bed, and she is almost 9 months pregnant, so Sophia came here. We played until 4 am.

Happy Belated Birthday!!! Beautiful Recliner!!!! Sometimes a recliner is the best when it comes to reading. My husband has a gaming recliner that every time I start to read in it I find myself falling asleep. I’m actually in the market for a new reading sofa because the hound dog has to snuggle with me. One of these days I’ll find the right one. Looks like you had a great month for September I was in a funk. I’m so behind it’s going to take a lot of catching up eeek. I’m currently working on the Beautiful Bastard series which I love!!! I hope you have a great week and enjoy all your lovely new books.

  9. Maureen Beatrice

That chair looks beautiful and very comfy. What a great gift!! 😉
18 Books ahead? Wow.. I’m happy when I’m one book ahead at the moment. I feel so behind. 🙁
Have a great week Kimberly and Happy Reading!

Glad to hear you had a good birthday even though you only got one amazon gift card. You can never have to many books as every bookworm knows ;). Your chair looks super comfy and like it would be perfect for reading!
Thanks so much for linking to my giveaway post! I appreciate it! I hope you’ll have a great week!

You new chair looks nice and comfy and perfect for a reader. Too bad you didn’t get more books or gift cards, but my family does the same to me on my birthday (and xmas, and anniversary, and mother’s day, grrrr!). You got so much read this year so far! It’s impressive and inspiring. Have a great week!

The recliner looks awesome and I want one of those TVs, my sister has one and she loves it.
Awesome Stats for September, I managed to read 5 books…yes just 5 🙂 but September was a hard reading month. Fingers crossed this month is better! 🙂

Have a great week, Kim! Happy Reading!

  13. Stephanie

Happy belated birthday! My birthday was this past week as well (10/5)! Your new reading chair is lovely. I hope it brings you lots of happy reading in the future. Now that fall is here I’m hoping to get my butt in gear as far as reading goes. 🙂

    Have a great week Kimba!

Happy, if belated, returns of the day:)). The reading chair looks awesome – we have a settee (mine) and a chair (Himself’s) that recline and they are ideal for reading, particularly if you have a back issue because you can constantly adjust them so you don’t get stuck in one position. Unless you fall asleep in them because they are so comfortable… I’m SO impressed at the number of books you managed to read in September – have a lovely October, tucking up in the chair and getting lost in books.

  15. Melissa (My World...in words and pages)

So sweet to get a new chair! It’s lovely. I love the design on it. Glad you had a happy birthday. 🙂

  16. Lark

Happy birthday! What a great chair! So perfect for reading. I mostly curl up on the couch or read in bed, but I’d adore a chair like that.

I see you’ve also got the illustrated Chamber of Secrets. I’ve ordered mine but it’s a present so I don’t actually get it until Christmas. (Yeah, I know, ordering my own Christmas present… but I was ordering Robin’s and Mr. Bookwyrm said to just get two so they’d ship together.)

Now I’d better get back to work. I’m so behind! Have a wonderful week and I hope you get some beautiful fall weather!

Happy Birthday! What a great chair. Keep that hubby around 🙂 someone got confused, thinking there could ever be such thing as enough books *gasp* but at least you have a great place to read your oodles of books. Have a great week Kimba!

  18. Charlie

I love your chair! It’s beautiful! I have a large wingback chair that I have been neglecting. I got it to be my writing chair, but not a whole lot of that has happened. You’re doing so good on your challenges! Keep it up!

  19. La La in the Library

I LOVE YOUR NEW READING CHAIR! I have been trying to find one I like that is both comfortable and goes with my decor for about a year now, but have not been successful. I had a crazy week, so I will be dropping back around to catch your posts from last week. Have a wonderful new week. 🙂

Only one book gift… wow! The family foes know how to change things up!
You are doing well with your GR challenge. I am behind this year, not always finding time to read.

If the chair disappears, I am the prime suspect. It matches my color scheme and my husband has a pick up truck for hauling. So many of us are envious (in a good way–we are happy for you) of your reading chair.
I have posted my Sunday (Evening) Post early this am at http://powerfulwomenreaders.wordpress.com I also finished a book this afternoon–a cozy mystery–after that. MY family mails me books–real books– and I love to read the same books they like!

  22. Kristin

    1. OMG – it’s a recliner!?!?! Jealous even more!!
    2. RT review! YOU GO GIRL!!!!!!
    3. I know what I’m getting you for Christmas 😉
    4. How do you NOT know how you purchased something? Hmmmm… excuses, excuses… 😀

    Have a great week!!!!!!!!!!!!

  23. Tressa

Love, love, love the chair! That is such an awesome gift and something I would love as well. Then I could sit in our room and read to my heart’s content. 🙂 Everything else sounds great too. 23 books is a great number! I read 19 books in September, I think, and it was such a busy month so I’m surprised I got that many. My GR goal is the same as yours and I’m behind, but I have a bunch of different books coming up and I’ve been slowly catching up so far this month. Anyway, have a fabulous week and enjoy your new TV toys and chair!

  24. Di

I’m late to the Sunday post party this week but I’m still here!

Yay for a fantastic reading chair. What a great gift. And the new TV and sound system also sounds very nice – I’m sure it will be well enjoyed.

You’ve done a lot of reading in September and so many new books in this week too. I hope you enjoy your reads and have a lot of comfortable reading time in that chair. 😉

I love that you got a comfy new reading chair (even though I feel your pain about the lack of gift cards!) but I really had to laugh at the tv/computer thingy. Hmm, yeah, I wonder how that happened. 😉 I can’t believe you’re so far ahead in your GR challenge! I’ve been staying about a book behind. With your new chair, you’ll probably blast through the challenge this month! LOL Have a great week, Kim!

  26. Tyler H Jolley

Dang, Kim, you’re crushing your goal. I’m not sure I’ve seen a reading chair like you described. I’m intrigued and think I already need one.

  27. Lorna

That chair looks pretty comfy! And the tv sounds awesome as well. Glad you had a great birthday!
