Hi, I hope everyone is enjoying good weather and time with family and friends.  Those of us in the states are enjoying a three-day weekend as we celebrate Labor Day and the unofficial end of summer. For the month of August I managed to read/listen to 21 books, but to be fair 4 of those were children’s books. Not bad for having a 12 day vacation in the mix. We are unplugging this weekend and taking care of some chores around the house. I hope everyone has a wonderful week. Stay caffeinated!

“Pumpkin spice everything” lol. Love that video! So true… and I’m guilty of hunting down those pumpkin spice lattes myself. Mmm… 🙂 Hope you have a great Labor Day weekend. I see you’re reviewing Invisible Library/ Masked City next week. Yay, I liked Library and need to get to the next one. I hope it is good.

My goodness – that is an impressive number of books you read during August. I don’t care that four of them are children’s books, if you take them out of the equation, that’s STILL an impressive number of books! I hope this holiday week-end is a good one and that the weather stays nice – our bank holiday week-end was last week. Needless to say the weather was rainy and a bit chilly… Have a great reading and blogging week, Kimberley:)

I hope you’re having a relaxing unplugged weekend! Great job on your reading! I don’t think I read much of anything in the month of August. I keep falling asleep in the middle of my reading time! Enjoy your new reads! I’m looking forward to your review of Invisible Library. That one is seriously tempting me. Have a great week!

Even if 4 of the books you read were children’s books, reading 17 full books is still impressive! And GUINEA PIGS! I used to have the best guinea pig ever, so to me there’s, like, nothing cuter lol. Have a great weekend!

Gah! I was horrified to see your Christmas themed meme! Nooooooo! Am in denial that the year is passing so quickly.

Enjoy your long weekend AND especially your technology-free time! I hope the weather is great and allows you to get a lot done!

I really should unplug. Maybe this Monday, if I don’t do it tomorrow. I want to take a blog break this week anyway. I hope you enjoyed your vacation! It’s been ages since I last read a MaryJanice Davidson books. I wonder if I would still like them . . . The Perfect Girl is one I would like to read.

I hope you have a wonderful week, Kim!

That video was so cute! I will not be cleaning this weekend. I might spend tomorrow in my pajamas though. I am looking forward to hearing your thoughts about The Perfect Girl. Have a great week!

I am glad it’s finally cooling down a bit, we had a lot of warm days here the past few weeks. Enjoy your unplugged weekend! And that’s great you got so much read! Have a great week!

21 books is terrific, especially with a family vacation in there as well. I’m looking forward to your Invisible Library and Masked City review. I need to read the latter pronto!

    Enjoy your unplugged weekend!

I wish that I could have read so many books in August! I only read 5 but I was still happy with the books I read. I should probably do some chores too today but the weather is terrible and I just feel like curling up with a good book.

Have a great weekend and happy reading! 🙂

Hope you have a great long weekend! I am trying to get ready for my vacation at the end of the week. I should also do some cleaning but I’m not sure I’ll get to that 🙂

I look forward to your thoughts on A Torch Against the Night and The Invisible Library. I have The Invisible Library checked out from the library but still haven’t read it yet.

I can’t believe it’s September. Crazy! And the weather is cooling with it. I’m glad I’m off on Monday as I could use the day. Yesterday was spent with friends that I’ve grown distant with over the years, but they are dear to my husband, so I sat in the house relaxing… and wishing for a computer or a book. *sigh* But it was a day for me to feel numb and not worry about anything, so that’s good.

Hope you are having a great time with your friends and family!

Hahahahahahahahaha! G piggies, I love them and that was hilarious! Thank you so much for sharing it. I always am in need of a good laugh! I will be dropping back around for the Nona’s Corner I missed last week. Have a spectacular week. 🙂

I’ve only really recently gotten into historical romance novels again, but I’m really looking forward to A Scot in the Dark because I just listened to the previous novel and loved it. 🙂 We’re doing a fall cleaning this weekend ourselves. The temperature yesterday was about 85 which is actually really nice compared to how it has been, so we focused on outside chores. Enjoy the rest of your 3-day weekend! 😀

LOL I also posted the guinea pigs in my randomness. It was too cute not to. 😀 I hope you enjoy your weekend. Weather here the last couple days has been delightful. Why couldn’t we have had a Spring like this?! We’re supposed to go back up to the 90s again before hopefully dropping back to the 80s. I never thought I’d be begging for the 70s. lol

21 books?! I wish I could read that fast! I managed 10 this month. Hoping for a slower September so I can read and catch up on review books. Also Empire of Storms 😀 Yes to Pumpkin Spice everything!!! Really just the cinnamon everything for me. That video 😆 Hope you enjoy the rest of your holiday weekend! Happy reading!

  17. Kristin

Wooot!! I’m unplugged, too!!! So unplugged, I didn’t even do a Sunday Post this week… I didn’t really have anything exciting to post and I really needed a break today 🙂

You did great with your reading last month, considering how little you got done on vacation!! Congrats, girl!!! Have a great weekend!!!

  18. lisa thomson

You got a ton of reading done last month, Kim. I’m only on my 4th book since beginning of August. I’m on Diana Gabaldon’s Dragonfly In Amber(p. 128) so I will be on this one for a while LOL. Enjoy the long weekend!

The video was so cute! I hope you get all that you want to get done, done this weekend. Have a good week Kimberly!

Loved the Guinea Pig video. LOL
    I haven’t counted my total for August yet but I too had some children books which I have forgotten to list on Sunday Post. I’ll add them to the monthly wrap up;
I think I need the extra day this week although it just means more work to catch up on in the office. **Sigh**.
Nice new books – Shadowed Souls looks interesting.
Enjoy your extra day for chores and Happy Reading!

Omigosh! I love the guinea pig video!! AND I had my first (two) Pumpkin Spice Lattes over the long weekend. I got Hubs one and he said…”I really don’t see what all the fuss is about.” *gasp* What?? LOL Anyway, I look forward to your review of Roadside Assistance this week. And I hope you enjoy all your new goodies!

Interesting mix of books this week. I recognise one of them so will have to check out the others to find out more about them.

I am beyond happy Summer is finally coming to an end, and while Autumn isn’t my favourite season, its one more season closer to Winter 🙂
