Today we are traveling home. We should arrive sometime late this evening. I am tanned and well rested but eager to get OUT OF THE CAR!! LOL Yesterday we traveled nine hours and will do the same today. Thank goodness for my Kindle. Our trip was wonderful and it was so nice to visit with family. I did manage to get some reading done, but not nearly as much as I planned.  Look for pictures next week. The week ahead has some great new releases, a Nonna’s Corner and an Amazon Prime book find.  Stay Caffeinated and have a wonderful week!

Happy 5 years KImba! Nice milestone. Glad you had a great trip. That’s a lot of time in the car- I’m sure it was nice to get home and relax. Enjoy your week.

    Yum! Nice cake… 🙂

Congrats on your five years of blogging…and I love the look of that chocolate dessert. Enjoy coming home. I had two long days of driving last week for my mini-vacation, and I was so happy to get out of my car, too. Have a great week.

I hope you had a safe drive home! I imagine you are happy to sleep in your own bed again. I am glad you had such a good time.

I’m curious to know what you thought of Before the Fall. I read two reviews this past week–one by someone who hated it and couldn’t finish and the other who loved it.

Congratulations on five years of blogging! That’s definitely worth a slice of cake. And what a delicious looking cake that is. 🙂

    Have a great week, Kim!

Congrats on five years!! I’m glad you had a good time on vacation and I hope you get home swiftly and safely!
I love road trips because of the amount of reading I get done on the rides, but it gets rough towards the end.

Eeek! What a marathon – 18 hours travelling in 2 days! My word – I take it you listen to books in the car as you drive? Glad you had a good holiday and congratulations on your 5th year blogoversary. Hopefully you can decompress when you arrive home and take a few days to recover – I’d be USELESS for at least a day after that kind of journey as I find car travelling on long journeys very stressful and we’re not talking those kind of stints… Have a great week reading and recovering!

Hope you enjoyed your vacation! I know all about those long car trips! We drove, in two days, from Albany NY to south Alabama. But I was the driver for that trip so there was no reading to be done. Oy! That’s too far. But flying is too expensive….so what do ya do? Welcome home!

I’m glad you had a great trip visiting family. I’m shocked you even got some reading in. I don’t envy the drive eek. Thankfully your kindle will help it go by faster. I hope you have a great week unwinding and I can’t wait to see the pictures!!!! Once again congratulations on 5 years!!!!!!

I’m so glad you’ve had a great vacation! Drive safely and rest up tomorrow. Long drives seem to get harder the older I get.

Thank you for the giveaway today, and the ones you ran last week. I’ve been on vacation myself (still am), but I hope to visit some of those posts today. And I can’t wait to see Giraffes Can’t Dance; it sounds so cute!

I always love the idea of trips until I’m traveling for them. Especially when it’s the trip home. LoL Can’t wait to see all the pictures!

Happy blogoversary! I hope you had a great stay. Being cooped and cramped in the car is a little rough. Hopefully you survive the car ride unscathed!

  15. Leeanna

Congratulations on five years! That’s a big number. Good to hear that you had a fun trip, too.

And you’re so lucky you can read in the car. I could as a kid, but now I get motion sickness 🙁 Which sucks because I live about 40 minutes away from anything, so all that reading time is down the drain.

Happy Blogoversary, Kimba! Oh man, 9 hours each day, that’s rough. The worst part is when your butt goes flat and it’s uncomfortable to even sit. Lol. Yeah, I’ve done a lot of road trips in my life.
