Annd I am home! First a special shout out to all the bloggers who took part in the Caffeinated BEA Takeover. Ya’ll rock! Also a warm special thank you to all who stopped by and visited these bloggers. Your comments and support was awesome. BEA was an absolute blast. I loved meeting bloggers I have been online friends with and I am delighted to tell you that all of them are just as wonderful in person. We enjoyed high tea at the DRAKE, went to the Naudies (an audio narrator party),  went to a champagne pop, ate Chicago pizza and had dinners with bloggers from all over. The publishers and authors I had the pleasure to meet were so wonderful. I loved how friendly everyone was in the long lines we endured. We held spots for each other, grabbed an extra galley for someone when they had another line. My poor legs and feet hurt. Some mornings I had reached my steps goal by 10 am. As many of you know I lead a table at BloggerCon and enjoyed meeting new and old bloggers alike. The feedback I received made me happy I took part. I only managed to read 50 pages and listen to 2 hours of an audiobook this week! I was surrounded by books but by nightfall I was too tired for my daily fix. Today I am hoping to put my feet up, spend time with my family and hopefully read a little. Below are photos of the trip…..

You sound really excited about your BEA experiences. Even one or two of the wonderful things you did would have made me happy, so your week had to have been absolutely amazing. Enjoy all the goodies and books, and thanks for sharing.

Looks like fun! And I like seeing those copies of Gemina in pics. 🙂 Looking forward to that one big time. Glad it was a blast, and it’s nice to see all the pics. Enjoy your unwind time.

I was following along from home Kim and feeling very envious of you all at BEA. I wasn’t sure if you had blogger catch-ups arranged so LOVED seeing the pictures of those.

I mention in my post that I’m going to a blogging conference this year. Not quite the same as catching up with those passionate about reading AND blogging, but as close as I’m gonna get I think!

Kim, you sound like you had a blast! I loved seeing those photos and I saw some of you on Kristin’s Instagram too. You should definitely relax this whole week after all the walking. I’m really happy the whole trip was a success though. 🙂
I was a bit lazy this week with everyone off to BEA with my commenting, but I read a couple of the guest posts and they were a lot of fun! I’m hoping to catch up on the rest tomorrow.
I spy Gemina in your haul! Very excited for that book and can’t wait to hear your thoughts.
    Have a lovely Sunday, Kim!

I really enjoyed seeing all of your BEA photos Kimba! It looks like you had an awesome time, and you definitely deserve a rest. Your poor feet probably need a few days rest, lol.
I hope you have an awesome week, with lot’s of down time to read and relax.

Wow, it sounds like BEA was an incredible experience! It seems like you made the most of every second you were there 🙂 I hope you get to put your feet up today, I can imagine how much they must hurt. Thanks for sharing some pics, it was great to see them.
Hope you enjoy reading all of your new books! 🙂

It looks (and sounds) like you had a wonderful time at BEA! It’s such a fun event. I love being surrounded by people who love books. 🙂 I totally know what you mean about your feet and legs hurting. That conference takes a toll on them for sure.

I lived vicariously through everyone’s BEA posts. I so want to go to one, but with my distaste for crowds and lines, I’m not sure I’d enjoy myself as much as I think I would. But I may still go at least. Some day. At the very least I need to meet my online friends. 🙂 I’m so glad you had a blast. And that is an awesome book haul! Welcome home!

Welcome back! I’ve been following your adventures via Instagram, and it looked like you had a ball. I’m so happy you had a great time, and managed to get a lot of cool new books. It’s almost impossible to read during a Con, so I would have been shocked if you did. LOL! I’m sure you’ll more than make up for it in the coming weeks.

  13. Mandy

I followed your week of adventures via facebook/instagram. It looks like you had an amazing time. One of these times I hope I will have the chance to meet you in person. You received so many lovely books over the week. I can’t wait to hear what you think.
I hope you enjoy your time with the family and rest after your busy week.
    Have an amazing week!!!!

I really loved seeing all the posts this week on instagram and I am happy it was so much fun. I was so jealous! I have actually read one of the books you received When a Scot Ties the Knot. I liked it-I thought I found it on your blog, but I guess not. Hope you get some reading time today!

  21. Charlie

What a fabulous experience! I want to go to BEA so bad, but this year it fell during state testing. Perhaps next year! I hear that the dates are pushed back a little further in May? I hope so! I hope you get to kick back and catch up this week – and get to reading some of those lovely books!

  22. ShootingStarsMag

I’m glad you had a fun time at BEA! I know I really loved being able to meet and talk to bloggers this year. It was a definite highlight and so much fun. It was good to see that MOST people were fairly nice and friendly- so that’s good.

I am so glad you had a great time at BEA… and of course came back with lots of goodies. Plus you have lots of new arrivals. Many look good but I especially like the looks of Loving a Lawman and Flight from Mayhem.
I didn’t get to visit during the week – I rarely do. But I will check out your lovely guest posts the next couple of days.
I hope you get to recoup and enjoy reading this week!

Yes, the feet. Oh the pain . I remember it well. I thought it was bad a night . . . until I stepped down for the first time the next day. Like needles shooting up feet into my legs. Thanks for sharing all your pics, I really hope to be at BEA17.

  28. Jolene Wilson

I only made it to Book Con on Saturday. It was a lot of fun but boy my feet and back are still sore. I met lots of wonderful people in line as well and got some great ARCS to read and review.

  29. Cyn

Sounds like you have a ton of fun at BEA! I would imagine my legs would be tire too lol. I love your haul! So much awesome books and swag! Have a lovely week being home! Enjoy your new books!

  30. Bookworm Brandee

The *best* part of BEA was meeting blogging friends in person and meeting lovely people in all the lines! 😉 I’m happy I had the opportunity to meet you, Kimberly. I only wish we’d had more time to hang out! I hope you’re enjoying some time with your feet up and some good books. (I didn’t read much last week either…too flipping tired!) 😀

I am so jealous of people who get to attend BEA, it’s just too much money for me to even think of attending.

I’ve not seen any of your ‘outside of BEA’ books before, so I’ll have to check them out.
