For the month of March I read/listened to 30 books. Of those 21 were from my TBR pile making Take Control a huge success for me. While I still have a huge list of books I want to get to, it was good finally catching up on some. I have posts scheduled into June. At the beginning of March I told you I was teetering between 3-4 books behind on my Goodreads challenge. I am now 6 books ahead. Woot ๐Ÿ™‚ ย For the month of April I am going to push myself so I can really focus on Clean Sweep in May. This week has been rough with some medical issues but I am caffeinated and happy. April 8th Mr. Caffeinated and I are celebrating 28 years of marriage and we are look forward to doubling that number. I hope your weather is delightful. Stay Caffeinated and visit a new blog today!

I hope all the medical stuff turns out with a positive result. Congrats on your anniversary, I hope you’re able to do something fun to celebrate.

You really did well on the clean sweep, Kim! I have to do that one day, too ๐Ÿ™‚ And having some posts scheduled for June sounds like heaven.
I hope you’re feeling better! My allergies are killing me these days, hopefully, it won’t last very long ๐Ÿ™
Have a fantastic week ahead, happy 28th anniversary <3

  5. Literary Feline

Happy Anniversary! Twenty-eight years is wonderful. We’ll be celebrating 18 in July. I am sorry to hear about all the medical issues you’ve been having to deal with. That is never fun.

My three books read in March pale in comparision to your 30. ๐Ÿ™‚ I am ahead by three books for my Goodreads Challenge though.

I hope you have a great week! We’re off to Disneyland again. Our passes expire this month and so we’re cramming in as many visits as we can before that happens. We must be crazy!

    • kimbacaffeinate

Glad you are ahead on the Goodreads challenge. When my Dad passed in January I fell behind, but now I am 7 ahead which is a good thing. Ooo have fun at Disney!

  6. Tressa

Sorry about your health/medical issues. We’ve been doing okay although my youngest and then my husband have been dealing with colds this week. I’m still behind and it’s really starting to bother me. :/ I just couldn’t handle everything I signed up for when I had some extra things pop up that weren’t originally in the schedule. But life is good and I’ve found some good reads so I can’t complain too much. ๐Ÿ™‚ I hope you have a great week!

    • kimbacaffeinate

Glad life is good despite the blog woes and the illness at your house. This is why blogging ahead saves me. It helps when illness, death and more come knocking. Take a break if you need it and build up a cushion.

  7. Wattle

30 books is very impressive! I have no idea how you managed that, time machine? ๐Ÿ˜›

I hope you’re doing well, medical issues are never a fun thing ๐Ÿ™ and congratulations on your upcoming anniversary!

Happy Anniversary, Kimba! Wow, 28 years is some achievement… Wishing you to double that number, just the way you want to ๐Ÿ™‚ Also, 30 books is mind-blowing!!! You’re a wonder, you are.

LOL, I wonder how I did it myself, but it feels good to be ahead of the game on the blog and to have finally read some of my own books!

  9. La La in the Library

Oh no! What ever is going on with you healthwise do what the doctor says! We have snow here, again, we are supposed to only get 2-4 inches, but still… I want spring! Have a wonderful week. ๐Ÿ™‚

I have had a few issues but yes we know what is going on, and thankfully I am on the rebound side of it all. No snow..we got lucky we had some in March but nothing that stuck around. Hope you get some spring weather soon!

  10. Kim

I’m sorry to hear you’re struggling with medical issues. I hope they’re nothing series. Thirty books in March! Well done! I’ve still not done my March wrap-up, so I’m not sure where I landed… but I need to get that done today. Haha. Hope you have a great week ahead!

LOL yes indeed. Excited for baseball myself, although Villanova plays tomorrow night (college basketball) and that is our team.

    • kimbacaffeinate

Nice. I have been working on series too. I hope to get caught up on and finish BDB and Psy-Changeling series and the Edge serie by Ilona Andrews. I am still unsure about Chicagoland Vampires I need to start audio 3 and decide.

    • kimbacaffeinate

Thanks I am happy with the results. Yes the arc challenge will be fun and includes any books given by authors and publishers even those already released.

  11. Melissa (My words and pages)

Oh! Happy anniversary! That’s wonderful. Sorry to hear you are battling with some medical issues. It’s rough. *sigh*

I can’t believe that I woke to see snow on the ground this morning! Crazy! It’s spring and I’m soooo ready for the weather change. Oh well.

    Have a great week!

Sending out {{{posivibes}}} for those medical issues and a huge Happy Anniversary!! I’m behind on my challenge and I have no idea when I’ll get caught up. *le sigh* But yay to 30 books! *high fives* I hope you have a fantastic week, Kim!

    • kimbacaffeinate

Yeah for sunshine. March was a really good month, it happens sometimes. Although I would be happy to repeat it April ๐Ÿ™‚

  14. Rita

A book a day, you were motivated and great job! Happy Anniversary to you and Mr. Caff. My hubs and I will celebrate 29 years in December. Time flies while life happens!

Hope you are feeling better soon! I’m having sleep issues and can’t make it past maybe 6 hours of sleep at night for the past month or so. I think my body has gotten into a bad habit and all the herbal tea and dark, cool rooms can’t change it ๐Ÿ™

I’m interested in your thoughts on the new Robyn Carr. Will have to check in for your review. Have a great week ahead!

It wasn’t really. I think some days I read 2, because it really didn’t seem that way. Although since I always listen to an audio as well, those slipped in bumping up the numbers. I only live on about 5-6 hours a night Rita, but I do take a 30 mins nap in the afternoon

  15. Lola

That’s great your Take Control challenge was such a success! I set my goodreads goal low enough that I am always ahead a few books and I read a lot of novella’s so far and those really help too. Congrats on the 28 years marriage! I hope you’ll have a great week!

I was happy, my Goodreads goal is 200 and that seems to be easy for me. I fell behind when my Dad passed, but I am on track!

  16. Christina T

I hope you have a better week this week. Great job with your reading in March! That is so impressive! I am planning to join the Clean Sweep challenge and hopefully the readathon if it is a day I’m free. Most of the books on my TBR pile are ARCs and I am so behind in reading them though I keep adding more!

  17. Bookworm Brandee

Congrats on ‘killing’ the TBR Pile Challenge! My measly 9 looks wimpy in comparison the then, I typically only read ~12 books a month so… I look forward to Clean Sweep!
Woot for 28 years together! That’s fantastic!!
I hope your weather this upcoming week has you sneaking flip-flops on – at least around the house. We’re supposed to be in the 50’s…snow will be melting. ๐Ÿ˜‰
Thanks for the shout-out! And I hope you have a great week!!

12 books is fantastic. I think it helped that many of the books where auto-buys that I never got to so I was driven and they were fav authors. Yes, glad you will join Clean Sweep!

  18. Sophia Rose

Very nice cap to the month long challenge. And even better that you have the posts ready to go, too. I’m looking forward to your Clean Sweep challenge, too.
Hope the health stuff gets worked out soon.
And yay, love seeing the 28th is coming up for you. Maybe you can sneak in something fun together. ๐Ÿ™‚

30 books is great! I wish I had the time to read that many. I kind of stunk this month with the reading. Hoping as the weather gets warmer I will have more time to read.

Happy Anniversary! I wish you both lots of happiness and 28 more!

Have a great week, Kim! Happy Reading!

Happy Anniversary! I hope you both have a wonderful week. It’s nice you’re so accomplished on the blogging front. I began the year on top of things, and then I began to slide. I only have one post scheduled, and it’s for tomorrow ๐Ÿ™ Crazy thing is, I’m super ahead on my GR challenge. One of my challenges I haven’t even started yet, so I think I need to get on that.

    • kimbacaffeinate

Yay for being ahead on Goodreads..uh oh on the blog front though. It happens which is why I liked to have a minimum of two weeks scheduled ahead and prefer to be 30+ scheduled out.

  22. Katherine

Happy Anniversary! And yay on getting ahead on your Goodreads challenge! You killed it in reading this month. I’ve been getting through bunches of books lately and really enjoying them which definitely makes me happy! Have a great week and take care of yourself! No more health problems allowed for awhile.

Yay! 30 books is amazing! And so is 28 years! Congrats and Happy anniversary! Hope all the medical issues resolve soon! I awoke to snow and it’s so windy out there you could wind up in the next town! So it’s a reading day for me. I didn’t get too much reading done last month- all sorts of things came up to distract me, but back on track now.

    Enjoy your week!

  28. Karen Blue

First, congratulations on you upcoming anniversary! That is so awesome, I hope you two have a great day and 28 more years of awesome. Second, I am so sorry to hear about medical problems, lets hope it goes away soon and never comes back, whatever it is.
Another congratulations for getting so far ahead with the blogging and getting so many books read. You MUST really get no sleep and just consume crazy amounts of caffeine to devour so many books. I am mostly jealous. Enjoy your week Kimberly!

Congrats on your anniversary. Hubby and I are celebrating ours this week as well. Now as long as yours but we are working on it!

Looking forward to your Visions Of Heat By Nalini Singh review. She is one of my go to authors when I want to read a good book! Fell better and have a wonderful week!

Happy anniversary! 28 years is great! I”m sorry you haven’t been feeling well, and hope you recover soon. And well done on the Take Control of Your TBR Pile challenge! Thank you for hosting it, too. I didn’t do as well as I hoped but I made my initial goal of 5 books plus a few more. . . and was able to let some of them leave the house, so I got a few inches of shelf back, too.

I try to never read the same genre or series back to back. Have you tried listening to an audio..sometimes that works great. Also taking a day off and unplugging…turning on the telly and watching favorite shows helps recharge.

    • kimbacaffeinate

Thanks Tyler. Most of the books were auto-buys I bought on release day and some were almost a year old!! Awful, but I am going to try and weave more of my own purchases in

    • kimbacaffeinate

I surprised myself, There were a few days I know I didn’t read and others I read two..but the audiobooks really add up.
