Sunday Post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted here @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead. See rules here: Sunday Post Meme

As I mentioned last week both of my girls had me worrying as Moma’s are known to do.  However,  I am happy to report that things are looking up for both. My oldest moved back home. We were ecstatic when she made the decision. (A year ago she moved over four hours away with her job) My youngest, Sophia’s Mom has found a better job and begins in April. Now if my husband’s work would ease up on the extra hours (He worked 82 hours last week) things would be better. My week was hectic and I spent most of it feeling rushed which didn’t lend for a lot of reading. I did house clean like a ninja on Friday and the place is all sparkly. Today the kids are coming over for an Egg Hunt and we are grilling. All of my peeps will be together and I am looking forward to a relaxing day. Enjoy your day, have a wonderful week and stay caffeinated!

Update on Wanted: Thank you for the awesome response!! I am happy to report my time in BEA will be covered.  Caffeinated will be hosting some awesome bloggers and you will be treated to some fabulous discussion posts.

82 hours?! Your husband must be exhausted! I’m glad your daughters are closer to home 🙂
I can’t wait to know how The Hatching is. I came so close on requesting it but I don’t know if it’s something I’d like. Still, I’m very intrigued. I hope you and your family have fun hunting those eggs 😀

Glad to hear your daughter moved home that will be nice for you guys I’m sure. It’s always easier when family is closer. 82 hours! Wow I guess i won’t complain about my hours this week lol. That’s a doozy. Happy Easter, and enjoy the weekend. Glad you got BEA covered! 🙂

Glad things are looking up for your kids. I know how stressful it is to not be able to reach in and fix things for them. I hope your husband’s hours get less crazy. We’ve had times like that and it does just make everything feel chaotic. I’m trying not to turn green with envy over the new Nora Roberts! I really enjoyed the first one and can’t wait to hear what you think of this new one. Have a great week!

It sounds you had a pretty busy week! I hope your Easter weekend is fantastic! Normally my family has a get together, where we grill and just hang out…but I think everyone is sort of down right now so most of us are just staying home. The new Nora Roberts book has a gorgeous cover!

I hope you have a good week and happy reading!

Happy Easter to you and your family. Seems like it was just New Year’s! Hope you have good weather for grilling 🙂
So glad to hear you’ll have your daughters with you and happy in their work. I have one cross country and only see her once a year and it’s very hard.
After the holiday you can relax and read more again. Thanks to you, I added a book about giant hatching spiders to my TBR list, LOL! Because I’m looking forward to nightmares, no doubt…

As a mom I understand worrying about your kids even if they adults. So I’m glad things are looking up for them. I hope you have a great Easter with everyone. I have Nora Robert’s Obsession up this week to read and review. I have not read one of hers in a few years, so I’m hoping it is good. Enjoy your new reads.

Your Easter plans sound wonderful, Kim. I hope you and your family have a wonderful Easter! I am glad to hear things have improved for your kids. Hopefully things will settle down for your husband. Eighty-two hours in one week is a lot to say the least! Have a great week!

I scrubbed my house top to bottom Friday too…must be something in the air. Good to hear your daughter is moving closer to home again…four hours is a long way away…and 82 hours is a long work week. Hope your husband gets some rest this weekend. Have a good one!

Yay Kim! I’m happy that things are looking up for your daughters. 🙂 I hope you and the family have a great time today with the egg hunt and the grilling (YUM!).
I love the title How to Get Rid of Dead Guys! Very intriguing!

Yay for good news! But 82 hours? Yikes! That’s a lot! I remember when my husband worked 70 hrs a week with no days off. He likes his schedule now much more but he’s afraid they’re going to go back to 3 shifts. That would suck. I hope your hubby’s hours ease and soon. Also, I wouldn’t mind being a mermaid. I am a Pisces after all. 😀

82 hours is crazy. I hope his job calms down soon. Glad things are working out with your kids. I hope you have fun with your get together for Easter. I plan to stay home and relax. I need to finish my current book and maybe start a new one.

Yesterday, I was volunteering zoo for the their annual Eggs, Paws and Claws event. It was a lot of fun to talking to people as the animals played with their Easter related enrichment items. I also had to help herd an overly territorial goose that was terrorizing the guests.

  14. Lola

I am glad to hear about the good news regarding your kids. Sounds like you had an hectic week indeed, I hope your husband can ease up on his work hours a bit, 82 hours in one week is a lot.
I hope you’ll have a great day and everyone enjoys the egg hunt! I’ll have to stop by your review of deceptions next, I love that series!

How To Ditch Dead Guys intrigued me – it’s a series I haven’t read so I’ve added book one to my wishlist. Sounds a fun read 🙂 I’m glad things are getting better for your family, And I hope the egg hunt goes well! Happy Easter and happy reading.

I’m so glad things are looking up for your family! It is hard living so far away if you are close. I live closer to my family now than I ever have (except when I lived across town with the almost in-laws, did I mention the almost in-laws? no surprise I didn’t see my own family) and I see my mom a lot more frequently. Happy Easter!

  20. Jan

I’m so glad your daughters got sorted out! Always makes a Mom feel better when they’re happy. Hope your husband’s job slows down a little.

Have a happy Easter and fun week!

wow, 82 hours?? that is insane!! I have no idea how he is still standing. Hope he got pampered hehe I would be fine with being a mermaid for a while. Plus they always have the most beautiful arrangements of hairstyles.

Holy moly, 82 hours?! That really puts my week into perspective. Just…wow!
I hope the Easter Egg Hunt went well–I loved doing that with my nice and nephew when they were kids! So much fun, and of course, candies and prizes inside the eggs!
Oh, and I’m done with adulting as well. I’ll totally be a mermaid. 😀

I missed out on what happened with your kids, but Im glad it’s all looking up. I was out of the country and completely disconnected. I planned on doing my 24-hour read-a-thon while we were on our trip. Yeah, I don’t know what I was thinking. It didn’t happen.
