Sunday Post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted here @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead. See rules here: Sunday Post Meme

Crisp mornings, rain and sunny afternoons were the norm this week in the midwest. The little princess got her first tooth and discovered the toilet paper roll. Wee! My reading has been fickle. At one point I had 3 books and an audio going at the same time. I would read 100 pages of one, fifty of another etc. Not sure why since all of the books have been good. This Weds, the kids are going away for 5 days to celebrate their wedding anniversary and Grandpop and I will have Sophia.  If I am slow in replying you will know why. October is just around the corner and I hope you’ve signed up for the Blog Ahead Challenge. The idea is to schedule posts from November 1st onward to build up a cushion on your blog. They do not have to be review posts, but can be memes, discussion posts, top ten lists etc. The goal is 31 posts in 31 days..but you can set your own goals. Stay Caffeinated my friends!

Our weather was all over the map too- sunny and warm the first part of the week, then two days of rain. Today wasn’t bad tho. Looks like fun in the bathroom- keep that roll spinning! LOL.

Oh dear, that toilet paper pic is so funny! I don’t have kids but spend a bit of time with a 4yr old at the moment and he’s completely obsessed with ‘poo’ and all things related. I spent time with my niece and she was never like that so I don’t know if it’s a boy thing but he also discusses with me (as I’m ‘supervising’ him at public toilets and the like) the amount of toilet paper one should use. I think his mum’s flexible on the issue but step-dad is a bit stingier!

I wanted to participate in blog ahead but my laptop is dying. Last night it started making some crackling noises as if it were going to catch on fire and tonight as well so my blogging might be limited for a while :/ Your totally random area!!! She’s so freaking cute! I mean, with a face like that I would even forget what she did and kiss her all over haha

Your week will be busy but I’m sure fun with Sophia. My girls also had fun discovering the toilet paper and then when they got older they couldn’t wait for the cardboard roll to use for crafts. I have the paperback of The Dead House and plan to read it for October. It looks really good.Have a great week!

So Princess Sophia has discovered the much-fun toilet paper roll. 😀 I remember when my daughter discovered ours and not only did she unroll the thing, but she tore the tp into itty bitty tiny pieces~tp confetti. It’s funny *now*. LOL Have fun this week!

I was in the shower and had secured all items that were on the floor..but never even thought about the toilet paper roll. If I had taken a longer shower I am sure she would have shredded them..because she can take out a napkin, baby whip or tissue in seconds..LOL

I’m right there with you on being fickle…I technically had about 7 or 8 books started this week, and while they were all good I just couldn’t get focused on one.
Sophia is way too adorable! I love how proud of herself she looks

Aw, such a lovely/funny pic ! She’s going to love cats, I bet, they have the toilet paper fun game in common 😉 We had a March weather this week : sunny, windy, rainy several times a day. There was even hail not far from where we live ! The vineyards were not happy. Thumbs up for the exercise/diet plan ! Enjoy your week with cute Sophia 😉

  8. La La in the Library

Little girls + dinos = FABULOUS! They were one of my favorite things growing up. I certainly will be back to see what grinds your gears! I will be looking for what you think about The Dead House. Have a wonderful week with Sophia. 🙂

Have fun looking after Sophia. She is so beautiful. I don’t know if you do it in the U.S. but here whoever finds a babies first tooth we have to buy them there first pair of proper shoes. We do it in my family and I know a lot of other people who do it. Have a great week 🙂

  10. Lexxie

LOL, Sophia looks so cute with the toilet paper at her feet 😉 Does it feel different to see that when it’s your grand-child then when it was your child? Is it easier to just laugh it off?
You got some good-looking books this week, Kim. I hope you’ll enjoy all of them! I’ve been kind of slow with my reading this month, not sure why. I have several going as well, but I’d rather play a game than read at the moment.
I need to sign up for the blog ahead challenge. I do have a nice cushion already, but it’s always nice to have some more 🙂
Have a fantastic week ahead and happy reading!

Since I am also her babysitter while her parents are at makes it a little different..but it took all I had not to giggle. I do think I have a heck of a lot more patience. Since, I know how quickly they grow.

  11. Yvonne

What a cutie Sophia is! That picture with the toilet paper is priceless.

I’ve been doing the same thing lately juggling several books at once and jumping all around. The ones I’m reading are good too. My problem is the deadlines I have to read them by.

Hope you have a great week!

  12. Lola

Looks like she had fun with that toilet rol, lol. What a happy face she has on that picture! I signed-up for Blog Ahead now :). I am happy you convinced me to sign-up anyay, although my goal will be lower than last year. It’s a great challenge! Hope you’ll have a great week!

I was excited to see you joined in! Sophia is such a joy..every day she does something to make us laugh. She now shakes her head no and makes kissing noises.

  13. Stormi

Sophie looked like she was having lots of fun with the TP. 🙂 I am curious how you will like The Dead House on audio as I didn’t care for the writing style although it was a weird mess..crazy story…lol.

I definitely want to participate in Blog Ahead! Such a great idea. I love the toilet paper picture. Enjoy that baby! 🙂

    • kimbacaffeinate

Come join us…even if you only manage to do 2 posts ahead each week..think how nice that will be. I am going to do my recipe and recs, top ten posts etc.

  15. Rita

Love Sophia in any pic you share– just a little beauty so I’m sure she can be forgiven anything! My kids used to play with the roll with whatever cat we had at the time- daughter would roll it out, cat would chew on it and drag it around on the floor!
I had one of those weeks too; I would start a book I know I would like, then put it aside for later, and try another = moody! Doesn’t help that my kindle is packed with selections for the HoHoHo that I won’t touch yet, lol.

That will be a fun 5 days! I am sure you are going to love every minute of it 🙂

I have a book to read but just can’t seem to pick it up. Think I need a break and get back to it on Monday.

I am rather excited about the Blog Ahead being in October this year. That will help me out a LOT. Even if I get a few posted and a bunch drafted I will be over the moon happy!

Have a great week, Kim! Enjoy that beautiful little girl and Happy Reading!

I am excited for Blog Ahead too. Yes, we will enjoy the time. They live with us, and I watch Sophia during the day. I kind of enjoy being off duty after dinner..but i am sure between Grandpop and her Uncle we will manage.

  17. Elsi

The girl is gorgeous, even with a pile of toilet paper at her feet. I know you’ll enjoy having her stay with you while her parents are away. I’m on the fence about Blog-Ahead since I have trouble finding time to write posts for publishing right away. I guess I have a week to make up my mind.

I think so….but it is lovely to hear others do too. Even if you only do 2 extra posts a week for November on..think how it will lessen stress around the holidays.

  18. Melissa (My words and pages)

It’s been a crazy time for books here as well. Lots going on. Look at that picture! She’s adorable. And looks like someone found the toilet paper. lol. Enjoy your days with her this week!

  19. Ramona

My, Kimba! If she isn’t absolutely fabulous!!!! Gorgeous in Pink, lol – and with toilet rolls to boot 🙂 Now she’s got the beauty, I guess it’s up to you to point her in the right direction, passion-wise and make a bookworm outta her. Our peeps would be honored to have her! 😀

It is FINALLY cooling down some here in TX, and it’s about time. My pugs and I need to get the heck outta the house. I sit, they sit. Boy does it show on us all. I was going to join Blog Ahead, but I can’t seem to even get October filled in yet, there is no way I’ll get to November anytime soon!

  22. Sophia Rose

Oh yes she did find the TP. Haha! Yep, you’ll be a tad busy for long stints on the computer.

My exercise was inconsistent so that’s what I need to work on. I actually did pretty good on the nutritious eating. Hope you get your fitness plan and can get it to work.

Look at the holiday books in your haul! Can’t believe its already time for those.

    Have a good week!

  23. Kristin T.

Oh…Sophia is such a cutie pie!!! Have fun with her this week! I haven’t read a Debbie Macomber book in quite a while, but I’m enjoying watching the Cedar Cove tv series on the Hallmark Channel – I loved that series and the tv series is good, but a little different from the books. Have a great week!

Sophia is so freakin’ adorable! Best of luck with your exercise plan. I need to do the same. I told myself I’d start exercising once we got back from Arizona, and that was 4 weeks ago. And ooh, you’ve got an audio of Debbie Macomber’s Christmas book – what fun!

No luck there TYler. The kids live with us. They are saving for a down payment. Can you guess who was up in the middle of the night when that tooth came in? I will give you a clue..not her Mommy and Daddy. (I felt bad..since they have day jobs)

I didn’t sign-up for Bloggiesta, as my schedule was too tight, but I did read all of the challenges and #bloggiesta tweets…such a good one 🙂
