Sunday Post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted here @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead. See rules here: Sunday Post Meme

For the month of August I read/listened to 25 books, and all of them counted for the ARC August Challenge. Between my Xoxperts haul and requested review books I added almost as much back to my bookshelf. #realworldproblems #bookaddictionisreal. Thankfully review dates span from October to clear into March. My hubby took Friday off, so we are unplugging this weekend. I have been spending quality time with my peeps and catching up on reading. Those of you in the states enjoy your three day weekend. I will be back on Tuesday, refreshed and recharged. As always, stay caffeinated!

Wow, this week’s haul is huge! I have a coloring book coming in for review, hopefully it gets here soon because I’ve been trying not to steal one of my mom’s. 😛
I’m glad you had a nice relaxing weekend! I hope this week goes just as well!

Enjoy unplugging for the long weekend! I’m so thankful for it 🙂 I need to check out your drafter review, I’m so curious! And I must get my hands on the final book in Ficklin’s trilogy, so I’m glad I spotted it. Hoping you got it on Netgalley…

  3. Red Iza

You really read a lot, and wow, those brand new books ! Yet I can see how they’re hard to resist… Have fun with your peaceful, ,resting day far from any computer and enjoy the quality time with your husband 😉

Enjoy your unplugged weekend, I rarely do that and I think I just need to schedule in one soon and make it happen. It’s good for us all to spend quality time with family and friends.

I’m loving your new books, the KA Tucker one looks fab and I love that series, the colouring one looks cute and Dead Girl Running sounds interesting too.

LOL at that cartoon, that’s me, always brewing the next one 🙂

  5. La La in the Library

I still have to come back and grab a peek at The Night Sister review, and I will be here with bells on for The Accident Season review. I am signing up for HoHoHo this week; I might actually have TWO holiday books to read, imagine that! I hope you are enjoying the holiday weekend to its fullest! Have a wonderful week. 🙂

Ooh that cover for The Shadow Queen is grabbing my attention…will be interested to see what you think! I see you’re planning on posting a review for Reawakened… I’ve got my eye on that book but my library still doesn’t have a copy!

WOW Kim, that’s a beautiful haul, it looks like an elaborate patch-work. And the books included look amazing. I got Surviving Ice as well, and I’m looking forward to reading it.
Isn’t it amazing how we keep adding all those books, even as we participate in challenges to reduce our TBR piles? I guess that’s one sure symptom of being a complete book-nerd 😀
Enjoy your unplugged weekend, and happy reading.

Enjoy your weekend, K.! Some gorgeous reads in your book haul and so many reviewed already 🙂 You are a busy lady who needs to unwind on her deserved break! Eyeing new Duran right now, better check her out, as I love her books.

Good morning! That’s a lot of new books. I hope you enjoy your long holiday weekend. (Or should I say “enjoyed” since it’s now almost over?) I’m taking advantage of the extra day off to get a couple of extra blog posts written.

I have the same problem, I read a lot of review books and then add almost just as many to my to-read list again.
Color Me Mindful: Underwater looks great! I really enjoy colouring, so I am looking forward to hear your thoughts on this one. I am planning to review my colouring books as well after I have done a few colourings.
I have Dark Heart of Magic pre-ordered and want to read it in paperback so I resisted requesting it on netgalley. I loved the first book, so I can’t wait to read this one.
    I hope you’ll have a great week.

Enjoy your day off– you deserve to unplug and have fun with family!
I’m curious about the Accident Season which I’ve heard a bit about, and some of your listed covers are so pretty/intriguing that I have to do a bit more reading about them.
Have a good one, Kim– give Sophia a hug (( ))

It seems a lot of people were unplugging this weekend. Hope you had a great weekend! Good job on your week via FitReaders…I was able to make my 10K steps all week, which was my goal after a month of little to no exercising due to vacations and traveling.

I hope you have a great weekend. I’ve kinda un-plugged the entire week without meaning to. I’ve just been doing so many things that it wasn’t until yesterday that I realized I only did one post last week and had nothing scheduled to go out next week. >.< Whoopsies. I don't know about you but I got approved for Surviving Ice and I'm dying to read it.

You did great ready 25 in August! I just can’t do that anymore and get them reviewed. So 15-18 is about my comfort limit.
I listened to Lothaire quite some time ago and liked it although it is a bit too edgy for my usual tastes.
You have quite a haul of new books. Almost an even split between authors I know and those that are new to me.
Hope you enjoyed your unplugged time and happy reading!

  18. Tressa

That is an awesome amount of books you knocked off last month! Way to go!! I definitely need to do the blog ahead and your read-a-thon (love the button this year!). So much has been going on and I’m behind, which I rather dislike. I hope you enjoy your time off. I’m enjoying mine tomorrow. 🙂

  19. Liz

Oooh, you got Not That Easy. I debated it, but I fly a bit behind, so I let that one go. But the first book (Virgin) was pretty good. Funny at parts. I hope you like it! I’ll be on the lookout for your review 🙂

  20. Bookworm Brandee

Holy wow, Kimberly!! 25 books in one month is a feat! I was feeling good about my 35 during COYER. *haha* I hope you enjoyed your extra-long weekend. My hubs took Friday off as well and we finished refinishing our deck. 🙂 Hopefully you’re recharged for this week. Made anything pumpkin yet?!? 😀

I totally unplugged this weekend too. It was great. My wife had a girls weekend and went to a Taylor Swift concert. The kids and I went to Utah to see my family. I’m sad summer is over 🙁
