Sunday Post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted here @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead. See rules here: Sunday Post Meme

This week Caffeinated celebrated its 4 year Blogoversary and your comments made my heart sing. Thank you! It was a quiet week with lots of reading. The hubby had a seminar to attend on Saturday and I took full advantage enjoying my own little mini read-a-thon. Football has begun and I see more opportunities to sneak in a reading session. The week ahead has a little romance, some paranormal, science-fiction awesomeness and  Butterbeer. I hope you are enjoying the summer heat because all things pumpkin is just around the corner. Speaking of,  Jen and I will once again be hosting the Ho-Ho-Ho read-a-thon. November 12-17th and we will be looking for challenge hosts. If you are interested shoot me an email, tweet or message me. …Stay Caffeinated and uplift your fellow bloggers.

You’re doing well with the ARC August. 🙂

I put the dates for the Ho Ho Ho Read-A-Thon on my calendar; I’ve been waiting for the announcement. It’ll be fun!

Football, blech, but at least you get more reading time.

Happy 4 years! LOL about pumpkin- yes it is approaching fast! Crazy… glad to hear the Ho3 is happening again, looking forward to it. Have a super weekend Kimba!

Sadly I’m a supporter of messy hair, no makeup and PJs most days!!! Though only if not leaving the house. If I’m going out of course I put a bra on! 🙂

Happy 4th blogoversary! That’s awesome! I’m curious about a couple of your reviews coming up this week. A Talent for Trickery looks really good from your haul. I hope you enjoy your books and getting in some good reading time, especially with football. 🙂

  5. La La in the Library

I had a blast with ARC August last year. I only read six ARCs total though; you my dear are a reading machine! Again, congratulations on your four year. I can only hope to be half as successful with my blog in two years. Have a wondeful week and give the munchkin a hug. 🙂

A little sneaky readathon sounds like so much fun. It’s soccer season here again and it mean’s that I can devote Saturday afternoons guilt free to blogging, I love it! I had to laugh at your cartoon too as that is exactly me right now!
I’m happy to do a HoHoHo challenge again Kim. Do you need me to email you or is it enough to let you know here?

    • kimbacaffeinate

Yep…while I listen for our team, my hubby watches Football non-stop and it frees me up to do my own dang thing..reading, blogging and chatting online 🙂

  8. Grace

I love summer but fall is my favorite. I am looking forward to all things pumpkin, football and sweatshirt weather! Great job with ARC August! I am getting through a lot and it has helped my NG ratio. Enjoy your new books and have a great week!

I love fall too Grace. Yay glad you are having success with ARC August. That ratio is important. I know when I approve books most under 75% get denied.

  9. Lover Of Romance

I am super excited for Fall….and read a thon’s are always a blast. And super excited for football season—but I love football, but my mom always likes to say this is “widow” season hehe. I am pretty excited for Magic Shifts…Kate and Curran are just great together.

When football is here, do you sit in front of it with your hubby and read? I totally relax and read in front of sports while the hubs watches.

And you know can’t deny yourself sweets, esp. the jelly donuts! Just every once in while. Life would suck if you didn’t!!! I gave up having a small waist. I just spent 2 months running my ass off and I’ve lost NO weight. I even did WW for a month, too. Eh, who cares, I look decent 🙂

Have a fabulous week… Happy Blogoversary, girlie!!!

    • kimbacaffeinate

Either I sit with him and read or I am right off the family room in the kitchen at my little desk. You look awesome my friend. I saw the picture of you finishing your run, rock!

  11. Jessica

OOh nice! Small hauls are the best because you get a little something, but don’t add too much to the TBR pile! I think all the books I got this week are pretty much read. Except for 1…which is a double copy…but still good! LOL!

Hope you enjoy the new reads!

That was a really good post over at Nose Graze. Really enjoyed it. Congrats again, and I know what you mean about football creeping back in on the airwaves. Occasionally I’ll watch a game or two, but strictly based on hottie factor. (lol) Son is a Dallas fan and hubby hearts the New York Giants. Nothing wrong with having a quiet week. Glad you were able to do that for a little while. Big Hugs and congrats again! Ro

  14. Melissa (My words and pages)

Oh Kimba! It’s hard to believe 4 years. Congrats! And here’s to many, many more years of blogging together. 🙂

    Enjoy your week!!

  15. Karen Blue

WOW! 13 ARCs so far? That is amazing. I don’t know how you do it.
I am really looking forward to September here in Connecticut, every says it is the best month temperature wise. Also, fall is suppose to be really beautiful here. I only saw a little glimpse last year.
I am interested in hosting a challenge, please email me details!
Have a great week, my friend!

I’m a proud supporter of pajama day as well! Yesterday a headache kept me in pajamas for the bulk of the day and today is isn’t looking like the day to break that trend. I’m really looking forward to the butterbeer recipe. I had some at Universal and it was some tasty stuff! Have a great week!

A whole day for reading – sounds like heaven! And well done on the ARC challenge; that’s a lot of books so far. I’m looking forward to the Butterbeer recipe and several of your reviews this week – I’ve been eying that series by the Griffiths, and you’ve been tempting me with your Jennifer Ryan reviews. Have a great week, and happy blogoversary (again!)

Congrats on four years that is fantastic! I really enjoyed your review for Black-Eyed Susans as well. It is a book I’ve had my eye on and sounds very creepy. Have a great week Kimba.

Congrats again on 4 years! You are a great example of what can be accomplished in a relatively short amount of time with so much hard work and nonstop reading! I just loved the day I stumbled upon your blog, and even though I only have maybe 20% of titles in common (a random guess) I enjoy reading every review, updates on your family, recipes, tips and advice, and challenges.

I might participate in Ho Ho Ho again but I won’t commit until a bit closer to the time since I’ve been very flaky lately.

I am looking forward to Sideswiped and that new series by Harrison, even though (or because) I never read her other one and want to start fresh. Thanks for everything, Kim!

I tend to have books for everyone, and sometimes tempt others to step out of their genres and try something new. I love Harrison. This one is science-fiction and I will be reading and reviewing it in the next few weeks.

  20. Kathy

Happy Blogoversary!! I love it when my hubby is gone so I can read or do blog stuff. He’ll be gone next Saturday for a car show and I already have the day planned lol. You are doing great on the ARC challenge and I can’t wait for the HOHOHO!! Have a great week!

It’s hard to think about it cooling down here because we are starting to go through a heat wave. LoL I’m still in lemonade mode. Although, it will be nice to be able to turn on the over and bake casseroles again.

Happy Blogoversary!! I totally zoned out this week after discovering some really good fanfic. On top of that, being gone the first week of August I feel like I’ve been out of the loop forever. lol I am totally a Jammie Fan and I never wear make up anymore, but I do brush my hair when I get up. 😀 I hope you have a fantastic week, Kimba!

I am a baseball fan too, go Phillies. If the Eagles are playing I will sit with him and watch while I read..but if it’s another team (he watches them all) I am off reading alone or working on the blog.

  25. Lorna

I love fall for so many reasons-the main one being-cooler weather. Not a hot weather person here! But I also enjoy the pumpkins and decorations and all that sort of thing as well. I am not a football fan either, so reading it is for all the games!

  26. Michelle

Happy 4 year anniversary! I’m huge supporter for the PJ all day club too, there is nothing better than just lounging around all day with books and snacks.

I hope you have an awesome week!

No worries, I am late in Sophia has ear infections and Nonna’s world got turned upside down. I watch her during the day and have been taking the night shift as well since her parents work during the day.

  28. Tiffany

I feel you on trying to stay motivated. I’m in the same boat. A month ago I was barely exercising. Then I began hitting the gym 2-3 days a week. Now I’m training for a marathon and exercising 6 days a week. My body is getting used to it, but I’m still struggling with the diet. Stay strong! You can do it. Besides, as long as you keep stepping, a doughnut every now and then won’t hurt you.

  29. Paige

I just saw your 4th anniversary giveaway–totally entered, I really want to read Reawakened. Also, your “totally random” image? Speaks to me. Big time 🙂

Congratulations on 4 years! I’m also a fan of messy hair, no makeup, and pjs all day. I have curly hair, so it’s pretty much always messy and I rarely wear makeup. It’s harder to work out the pjs all day but I try as often as I can! Enjoy your week!

Congratulations on your blogiversary! Four years is pretty impressive! 🙂 Your read-a-thon sounds like a fabulous idea. I think I need to take a staycation and do that myself.

    Have a great week!

  32. Cynthia

Wow, you have read quite a few ARCs for the challenge. Good for you! I have read some, but not quite that many. 🙂

  33. Tyler H Jolley

I’m so glad you put a recap on your weekly post because I totally missed your 4 year Blogoversary. Happy belated blogversary!

Here in the mountains of Colorado, it’s already starting to feel a bit fall-ish, Kimberly. Very crisp morning air and I even saw one aspen with a clump of leaves already turning. I feel sad because I was gone so much of the summer I didn’t get to enjoy it here at home, but I’m very excited about fall…it’s my favorite season! Pumpkin everything….yum! I hope your week is off to a great start. My kiddos went back to school yesterday so it’s quiet around the house…
