Remember to thank your Dad for being awesome! The kids will all be here this afternoon for a picnic, so I will be MIA today. The week ahead has everything from chick-lit to urban fantasy and I hope you discover your next read. Am keen to hear what you thought of Finders Keepers. I was a bit mixed.

I keep forgetting it’s Fathers’ Day there. We celebrate it in September here in Australia. I wonder how the different dates / times came about? #random

Great minds think alike Deb, I was panicking thinking it was Father’s Day and I was thinking why I’m not seeing all the promotion for Father’s Day at the shops, then I googled it and was surprised to see that our Father’s Day differs from the USA. I thought that it was only our Mother’s Day that was different, and I’m also curious how come they had changed it, why isn’t it just an International thing like Easter and Christmas?

Coming over to your blog to visit your Sunday post

      Have a great week!

I hope you enjoy your picnic! We have some ridiculous heat going on right now too. It’s hitting the upper 80’s and lower 90’s, but the humidity is enough to make it feel like you’re walking around in a wet down coat.

Hope you have a wonderful picnic with the family. We have had nothing but rain all week and have it again today! Hope you enjoy all your new books and have a wonderful week.

    I love this weekly post.
Enjoy your picnic! Here the weather is terrible, it’s raining and it’s really cold for this time of year (around 59 fahrenheit). Brrr… 😀
I’m looking forward to read your review of Her Sister’s Shoes By Ashley Farley this week. I read about this book and it sounds good.

It’s been really hot here too and it makes it hard to be outside. It’s great that you got to enjoy your nice and weather with the baby. I’m still reading Wildfire In His Arms and I really like it. It has been a long time since I’ve read a western romance so this is a nice change. I hope you enjoy your picnic and have a great week!

OH! I can’t wait to see what you thought of Shadow Revolution! I could go sneak a look at Goodreads and see if your review is there but I’m a lazy git. I need to pick up the next one; thanks for reminding me!!!

And yes, I am BACK!!!!! YAY!!!

I am so jealous that you got Ink and Bones and Bonded!!! 🙂 Hope you enjoy them and can’t wait for your reviews. 🙂

We are feeling the wrath of summer here too, but right now I kind of like it..later I am sure I will complain…lol.

I love that quote LOL I’m also envious of your Ink & Bone copy, looking forward to reading your review so I can see if it’s worth the hype.

Kim how on earth do you read 6 books/week, I noticed that all your posts this week were all reviews! I’m sure myself and many others would like to know some tips on how to organise the blog and how to get as many reviews churned out like you do.

    My Sunday post

    Have a great week!

Goodness, ya’lls weather in Nebraska is the exact same as here in Alabama. I would’ve thought that far north would be a bit cooler temps. Even down here, it’s too hot to be outside until after 6:00pm. Enjoy your week indoors!

I hope you enjoy your time with your family and find ways to keep cool! Here it hasn’t been that hot. Just rain and more rain. Thankfully no flooding yet though it is getting close.

Ink and Bone is on my TBR list. I can’t wait to read it. It sounds fantastic. I will have to check out your review of The Night We Said Yes.

  13. Melissa (My words and pages)

Oooo try to stay cool! We are feeling the muggy hot rainy season here in PA. It’s rough to get to grass cutting when the ground is saturated with water. *sigh* But we’ll get by.

    Have a great week!

  14. Lola

It’s been nice weather here the past week or so, warm, but not too warm and we had some rain tonight. Sounds like you are going to get some warm weather. Lol at that monday picture, for me mondays aren’t too bad as I work all days, but they still feel like the start of a new week. Hope you have a great week!

Jaci Burton and Laura Wright are always great authors to get books from!! Hope you enjoy all of your new books. And picnics are so fun to do…I just love eating outside. And I understand about the heat, in utah we get pretty hot.

We’re celebrating Father’s Day today with all the kids and grandkids. Again, I really want to thank you for sharing “Around the Blogosphere”. You lead me to very interesting discussions about reading, writing, publishing, and blogging — most of which I would never have found on my own.

Ooh, that is hot. We’ve been in the low- to mid-90s for a week now with no relief in sight. That’s hot for us here in the mountains. Have fun at your Father’s Day festivities! We’re heading out to my grandparents’ for a big family potluck. Enjoy your week!

Enjoy your picnic and hope your day and your week is great! The shortest horror story made me laugh though during the school year I don’t mind Monday’s too much because I have the house to myself for a few hours!

shortest horror story. haha I like that, it’s so true! I hope you had a lovely Father’s Day today, and ooh that is some warm weather. I don’t really know what is going on here, but if it’s warm, I’ll be in the pool as much as I can.

We’ve had unseasonably warm weather. I mean we’re over 110 warm. I can’t complain too much because we had such cool temps in May and the first part of June. We were out swimming this weekend and my sunblock was having issues keeping me burn-free because it just is so hot though! 100 is still hot where you are, so I hope you stay cool. Have a fabulous week!

I’m glad you got in a few nice walks before the heat and humidity make us all start the countdown to fall. Have a great week, Kimba!

  29. Lorna

I don’t know where I got the idea that you lived in one of the Carolina’s. Sounds like your weather is about the same as we have here in Maryland. A picnic sounds good-I hope your family and you had a good Father’s Day 🙂

  30. Lindy

The weather in California has been miserable too! I’ve been running my air condition like crazy! I can’t wait to see what you think of Finders Keepers! I use to read a lot of Stephen King, and enjoy his scary stories! Great book haul! I’ve heard great things about The Accidental Assassin and am curious about Ink and Bone because I like Rachel Caine 🙂

    Happy Reading Kim!!!

  31. Olivia

I actually have The Accidental Assassin and am looking forward to reading that one at some point. I hope we both like it. And Ink and Bone looks like such a good read, which is why I am eager to know what you’ll think of that one.
