Sunday Post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted here @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead. See rules here: Sunday Post Meme

I am on target to meet my Clean Sweep ARC goals and just need to hunker down in this final week. How are you doing? It’s a three day weekend here in the states and we plan to BBQ if the sun comes out. We have rain in the forecast until Monday. Still have the headache, but have determined it is a sinus infection and that my ears are full of fluid. So meds, rest and hopefully some reading are on the agenda for the next few days. Enjoy your weekend and stay caffeinated!

FitReader Updates

FitReaders 2015This week I focused on shopping smart. With warmer weather and an abundance of fresh produce we picked up lots of fresh goodies. Averaging about 4,000 steps a day, hopefully once I feel better we can get some walks in.

I must confess I have no idea what TSU is so I’m off to google it. Is it something all the cool kids are into? 😉

    Chasing River looks interesting!

Boo on the sinus infection but hopefully the meds are getting it knocked out and you feeling better. I’m not doing the Clean Sweep this year but buckle down definitely describes what I need to do. I’m curious about The Yard. it looks intriguing. Have a great week.

I’m trying to decide if I’m taking Monday off…part of me is like, people will be off and they might come to the store…but the other part of me is like, meh I need sleep. LOL.
Here’s hoping you kick the headache this week!

Hope you get to BBQ and that the rain holds off. We have a similar forecast, but today was beautiful. Hoping to hit the beach tomorrow if it’s nice, should be high 70’s. Have a great long weekend!

It’s a three day weekend here in Europe, too, Kim, and while it’s sunny, it’s also really chilly 🙁 so no BBQ for us.
I hope you’ll feel better! If it really is your sinuses, you should try to just breather over a cup of boiling water, to which you add a little thyme – it really, really helps to open your sinuses.
You got some nice books this week, and I hope you’ll enjoy them! The Veil is on my wishlist 🙂
Have a spectacular Sunday, Kim. Happy reading.

I am so happy for this long weekend. We have have been pretty busy doing things with the kid and are lucky enough to have good weather the whole time. Hope your weather holds out for the BBQ. I have the first book of the series for Chasing River on my kindle so I am behind but the series looks good so enjoy! Have a wonderful week!

That sinus infection could just be bad allergies. It’s a really awful pollen season here after the heavy snowy winter.
I’m always impressed with how many reviews you get done each week!
    I signed up for tsu.

Sorry to hear you are still sick! Good thing is a holiday, extra time to rest and recover.
I went to a BBQ yesterday and haven’t felt well (maybe ate too much lol).
Hope you get a lot f reading done. I plan to read a lot this long weekend too. When I have deadlines I usually read one book at the time but now that I decided I like audio books… I guess I can be call a bigamist! 🙂

Aw I hope you get to feeling better!

We are probably heading to the lake this weekend, if the storms stay away. 🙂

Sinus infections are no fun at all. I’m glad to hear you’re getting some help for it. A neti pot can also help, according to my doctor (and my experience) – not instead of meds but alongside them. Take care of yourself, enjoy your weekend, and have fun with those new books!

Boo on sinus infections, they’re miserable. I hope the meds help and it clears up soon. Also, I hope you get to BBQ!

Sorry to hear you still aren’t feeling better. Hope you kick it completely soon 🙂 I’m off to NYC this week for BEA – cannot wait!!! Just have a few more odds and ends to take care of and then I can hopefully relax tomorrow before that whirlwind three days of non-stop fun! Have a great week!!!

No big plans for us on this 3 day Memorial weekend, but we are going to the beach for a vacation later this week. So rest and reading are about my only priorities. 🙂 Hope you feel better!!

I wish we could BBQ, but we left our grill in FL. 🙁
I am a bit behind on my reading goals, so since I start the job next week, I plan on really getting things done this week.
I really wanted to read Burying Water, but never got it. I hope you enjoy Chasing River.
Have a great week, my friend!

I hope your headache and sinus infection wil be over soon. I had a two day headache this week and that already drains my energy, so I can’t imagine how bad a more than week long headache is. Enjoy your long weekend!

I’m so glad you found out what the headache is from and got meds for it. I hope you start feeling better soon. And hope you feel like exercising more soon, too. I hope to visit your blog more and check out some of your reviews. Just haven’t gotten to other blogs lately. Hope you have a much better week and also get to BBQ tomorrow!

Sinus infections suck. Hope the meds knock it out in no time. I’ve read nothing and written no reviews. But Trip and I watched tons of Angel since he was home sick. I’ll take time with him over writing reviews even if he was feeling crappy.

The weather in NC is nice and plenty are out for the BBQ, but I’m not one of them,(lol)but I am enjoying the long weekend. Hope you get to feeling better soon, and glad you can rest a little. Definitely with you on getting more fresh veggies and hope to do that this week. Happy reading! Hugs…

Sinus infections are awful! I hope you feel better soon and that you get to enjoy the long weekend. It’s been sunny and warm here which I am thrilled about though I’ve spent the morning and afternoon indoors so far today. I’ll have to change that!

Good for you for getting caught up on your ARCs! I have so many books I still need to read and review. I keep an Excel spreadsheet to help me keep track but it still is kind of depressing and I am tempted all the time to add more ARCs to the pile especially with the fall books coming up!

  20. Kelsey

Ooh we just had a BBQ yesterday! It was a bit windy and not that warm but it was still a lot of fun having family over. I hope you get better soon too.
I’m debating on signing up for that Nosegraze thing too, but I don’t get that many people who go to my blog compared to others, but I’ll see.
I need to step up my FitReader activities, I’ve been slacking this past week, but then again I had some allergy issues too.
Hope you have a great week and enjoy your new books!

I hope you feel better soon and enjoy the 3 day weekend! I’m doing good with the Clean Sweep ARC Challenge and getting to the ARCs I really wanted to read. And my Netgalley ratio is going up (yeah!). Have a great week!!

My family’s been suffering from sinus infections as well. It’s horrible! I’m glad your headache is clearing up. Congrats on being on target for your clean sweep challenge! I’m looking forward to seeing your reviews of Black Iris and Overruled!!!

    P.S. I’m a literary polygamist too!

  24. La La in the Library

Oh my, feel better! I wasn’t perticipating in the ARC Clean Sweep, but about a month ago I guess my spring cleaning got me in the mood to clean up my ARC pile. All of my current ARCs are on schedule and I have no past pub dates left on Edelweiss, and only three remaining on Netgalley. Now if I could get the inspiration to catch up with my blog reviews. Have a wonderful week.

    Hi Kimba,
I hope you get well soon 🙁 I’m sorry you’re still feeling bad. It always rains when you get a long weekend doesn’t it? I hope the sun does make an appearance so you can enjoy a nice BBQ!
    Take care,

You are still sick!? That’s rough. I’ve been doing some healthy grocery shopping myself actually. I’d love to know what you cook up.
Chasing River should be good. At least the cover looks very pretty <3
I didn't get much done as far as FitReaders as well this past week. I'm doing a little better this week though. Hope you get well soon!

  27. Teddyree

Hope you’re feeling better for the long weekend and the weather cooperates for BBQ-ing. I had a huge week and I’m wrecked so I’m hoping this week is a lazy one 🙂
    Happy reading!

Happy Memorial Day! I am a little late with my post beacause I have been running around for weeks it seems and I can’t seem to catch my breath. I am relaxing for the rest of today and trying to get some reading done.

Sorry to hear that you’re not feeling well. (I would have said “under the weather”, but with the extensive rain & flooding here in Texas, that has quite a different connotation.) I do hope the medications will restore you to prime condition soon.

Love your “totally random” picture – that is so me. I hope you feel better soon and hopefully you had a nice three-day weekend. I had to work Saturday, but besides that, I got some fun things in! I have a copy of The Yard. I need to read it soon!

I hope your sinus issues have cleared up, they can be so miserable. This is the time of year I live on Claritin, I have bottles of it everywhere. If I miss a dose my sinuses kill me, I can totally empathize.
Did you get to bbq? We had weird weather in CO. It snowed in the mountains!
