For the month of April I managed to read/listen to 15 books but in May I want to double that number. The Clean Sweep ARC challenge is in full swing but its not to late to join in the fun. The sun has been out this week and I am loving the warmer weather. It was a quiet week on the home front and those are sometimes the best weeks of all. Stay Caffeinated!

This will be my first go, but a review has me one-clicking..LOL

  1. Laurel-Rain Snow

Enjoy your new books and the warmer weather…here it is downright hot already, LOL. But I am used to it, after living in these parts for more than 40 years.

Have a great week! I love the look of the Jayne Castle book…I have enjoyed her as Krentz, so I need to try her alter ego.

I love all her alter egos Laurel. Stay cool!

  2. Katherine

Yay for The Silenced! And the Robin Carr as well. I’m looking forward to catching up on the Robin Carr series and reading The Silenced. A Heather Graham book is always fun. Love the thing about the tupperware lids and socks. Oh so true! I buy all my plastic in sets yet somehow I never have an equal number of containers and lids! Have a great week!

LOL everyone loves that tupperware comment..and it’s so true. I am excited about Carr and Graham. Enjoy your week Katherine

  3. Kathryn

Wow doubling the books read will be a challenge but I bet you do it. Good to see you on #fitreaders, I met my goal for the past week but forgot to put that in my post. I have the Robyn Carr to read too and look forward to it. I also want to read the Jayne Castle series Rainshadow, will get to it eventually.

    • kimbacaffeinate

I am determined. I need to catch up from vacation and baby time. Glad you met your goal.

  4. Rita

Robyn Carr & Heather Graham & Jayne Castle– whew, good week for you coming up!
I have added Undertow and The Novice to my wishlist. I’m craving some fantasy at the moment.

Right…I am guaranteed a good read in that mix 🙂

  5. Deborah

Like Laurel I enjoy Krentz books but haven’t read any of her books as Castle (probably a bit too straight romance for me!).

Well done on the steps. I really need to do get a pedometer because I’m WAY TOO sedentary!

Her books as Castle are paranormal romantic suspense, her books as Quick are historical both straight up HF and some with paranormal elements. Have you read Jayne’s Arcane Society Novels? The series uses all of her alter egos and begins with Second Sigh by Amanda Quick…so darn good.

    • kimbacaffeinate

I went from 21-30 down to 15ish and need to step up my game. I am determined!

  6. Megan McDade

Congrats on reading so many books I hope you can double it this Month. I am such a slow reader if I read 8 books a month it’s a miracle LOL enjoy your new books.

P.s. I tagged you in The Help Me Book Tag on my blog if you want to check it out.

I will check it out Megan. 8 books is a lot.

  7. Tressa

So glad I could help you with that new Robyn Carr book. 🙂 Sounds like you’ve got a pretty good goal ahead for this month. I really slowed down in reading in April, at least it feels like I did. This month I need to whip my reading back up to shape, especially since I need to schedule some posts for June ahead when we have family in town. Anyway, hope you have a great week!

Yes…I am auto-approved for them, but would have cried a little if I missed it. We are just starting to get a schedule going here with all the recent changes and I am hoping May sees me returning to normal reading/blogging levels

  8. Lexxie

Nice and quiet is so nice! I hope you enjoyed every moment you spent with Sofia, Kim!

I had a good laugh at your tupperware lids and single socks… my husband thinks I’m the only one who ‘loses’ socks when washing them *sighs* and it’s impossible to buy socks in bulk with a single color for kids here!

Have a wonderful week ahead, happy reading.

    • kimbacaffeinate

No..you are not alone. Millions of us suffer from loss socks. LOL, we buy solids for my son an white for my hubby..or ones with different heel and toe color.

    • kimbacaffeinate

Hope things are going well at Mom’s and on your break.

    • kimbacaffeinate

Thank you Nyze, w had some wicked thunderstorms last night, but the sun is out today.

  9. Grace

Yay for warm weather – we have some really good days coming up by me. I had such a slow April reading wise and am hoping to get moving on May. I hope you meet your May goal too! And I love the Random quote because it’s true!

  10. Yvonne

You had a great reading month in April. Good luck in May and good luck with the challenge. I didn’t have a chance to do it this time, but maybe next time.

We’re having warmer weather too and I’m enjoying it. Have a great week!

  11. Jan

The spring weather is beautiful here, too. It’s always amazing to me how quickly the trees and bushes all get leaves on them once the warm weather arrives. I love it.

I agree that a slow week isn’t bad sometimes, Kimba! I hope you have a wonderful week ahead of you.

    • kimbacaffeinate

Yes, I am determined to get ahead with my arc reads. Good luck Tanya!

  12. Lola

I hope you get a lot of books read this month! Although I think reading 15 books a month is pretty good! I don’t read that many most months. Enjoy your new books, these are all new to me.
And that picture is so true it always seems like all my tuperware lids disapear and all those single socks are still waiting till there is another single sock to join them.
    Have a great week!

  14. Lillian

Good luck with the challenge this month! I’m excited to join it. My goal is 20 which is roughly double my average as well. Not sure I can do it, but I’m going to try!

I LOVED Claimed by Sarah Fine for all the same reasons as you. I enjoyed getting more into the world of the Ferrys which I felt was lacking in Marked.

Hope you have a good week!

    • kimbacaffeinate

Yes..I am so glad you loved Claimed. This is such a fun series and I know you will kick some arc butt for Clean Sweep

    • kimbacaffeinate

Yeah, I was in the mood for something a little different then my current reads and accepted Crushed.

  15. Cindy

Quiet weeks are the best! Kimberly, I would love to join the Clean Sweep Challenge. I just received my ARC copy of A Week At The Lake by Wendy Wax, I also have many more ARC’s to get through…..

Dang it Kim, if someone bet me that you couldn’t double your book read total for this month, I’d tell them to keep that money in their pockets! (lol) We already know if anyone can meet this goal, it’s you. I’m winding down from my slumber party and while it was fun, I’m ready to be back to my reading, and enjoying a little of the sun outside. Thanks for the shout out and BIG Hugs…

    • kimbacaffeinate

I am working diligently and promise not to let you down!!

    • kimbacaffeinate

You and your mother are not alone..the gremlins come here too

30 books in a month? That’s one a day. I couldn’t do that and I don’t work, so I have tons of time! Good luck, Kimba!

  19. Berls

15 books is great – that’s how many I read during my best month. I’m hoping to do that good this month, but at the very least I’m hoping to really knock out some review books with your challenge!

Can’t wait to see what you thought of White Trash Zombie – I’m loving that series! Have a great week and enjoy this good weather:)

You can do it Kimba!! I read 20 books overall but only 13 of them were true books…the others were graphic novels and children’s books. Now I’m left the task of writing all these reviews, lol.
I hope you have a lovely week and enjoy the sunshine!

I love quiet home front weeks. They are the best of all! Especially now when we have so much upheaval going on. *sigh* Looks like we’ll be heading into 80s land weatherwise this week. May need to crank on the air and that sucks. I hate having to turn it on before June, but oh well. Have a great week my friend!

Those pesky tupperware lids are having a good laugh while I scratch my head and wonder where the heck they are! Haha and I still have to read Crave and can’t wait to dig in. I read your other review with it so I hope it’s good. 🙂 it’s also really hot here and summer is almost in full swing. *fans self*

    • kimbacaffeinate

Oh noooo Terri. I do hope you are feeling better soon, . Get rest and read if you can

  24. Ramona

My goodness, Kimba, doubling that number? As in 30?!? I’m speechless. Particularly as I’ve fallen behind my target … meh, it’s The Outlander’s fault. That book is ginormous! Some really interesting reviews coming up on the blog this week, I see 🙂 I’ll check them out for sure. Have a beautiful week!
