Sunday Post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted here @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead. See rules here: Sunday Post Meme

What a lovely week we have had weather-wise. The snow is gone and hold on to your hats but we opened windows and wore shorts a few days. Now I am not fooled as NE can be crazy and chances are we will see one more snowfall before May, but this week my flip-flops and I were smiling. Yesterday was the last day for my outside job and I can now work in my pajamas. Tonight is the Twitter Party for Take Control, if you are participating I hope you attend. #TakeControlTBR. Have a wonderful week, uplift others and stay caffeinated.

We’ve had rain all week but the temperatures have been warmer so I’m not complaining too much! I’m really curious about the Kelly Armstrong you got this week and am looking forward to your review on Owl and the Japanese Circus. Have a great week!

I really enjoyed book one of the Cainsville series by Armstrong and will share my review early next month. Owl…so cool. Hope you get some sunshine this week 🙂

    • kimbacaffeinate

Yes anything above freezing deserves some

    • kimbacaffeinate

I am really looking forward to listening it. Right now I am trying to read tbr books/audios and reviews for first few weeks of April..LOL Confess is calling my name though.

    • kimbacaffeinate

Thanks Camille 🙂 I love Spring…and hope winter gets lost permanently.

  2. Ro

It was nice weather here in NC, along with a great breeze. Caught one fish in the pond out back, but ended up throwing him back. Lifted weights this week and managed to force myself to do a few push-ups, which I hate dang it. (lol) Kudos to you for all that walking and looks like you got some more reading/listening in, as well. Hope your week is a good one! hugs…

    • kimbacaffeinate

Ah fishing is so relaxing. I prefer crabbing and have lovely memories of boating all day.

  3. Renee

I think that I might just need to try out this meme!! I don’t think I have before. I am really excited for your New Orleans post…I am always looking for some new books that take place there. I just can’t get enough hehe. Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend. Happy Reading!

    • kimbacaffeinate

We would love to have you join us Renee. Some folks post every week and others every other or once a month. Settings can sell a book to me and NOLA is one of my favorites.

    • kimbacaffeinate

Glad you were out and about Grace. Have a lovely week!

    • kimbacaffeinate

I am so jealous Ee and your welcome Jen did a nice job explaining the site

  4. Red Iza

Working in pajamas, how cool it is 🙂 Spring is coming slowly here, we turned off the heating and sometimes we can open the windows on a sunny day, but the nights are definitely cold – I’m still scratching my frozen car in the morning. I heard Confess is really good, so enjoy ! I’d like to help you with reviews but I’m afraid my schedule is too tight these days, maybe later 😉 Have fun reading your new books with your flip-flops on !

    • kimbacaffeinate

LOL, yes it will be cool..or at least having the option if I so desire. Our nights are cooler too, although a few days it reached high 70’s so at night our bedroom was warm and we had to crack windows. No worries about reviews, you can always check the page from time to time and if one book speaks to you, you can email me.

    • kimbacaffeinate

I use it from time to time and it isn’t the easiest

    • kimbacaffeinate

LOL, well I may be able to work in my pajamas but I am working more

  5. Nyze

Summer is already here from my part of the world so I wear shorts to work. Of course, it’s not really allowed so I wear them on Sundays. Lol! Have a great week babe ♥

March can be so nice! We had a really nice and warm week as well, but today it’s cooled down quite a bit and it’s raining.
I got the e-book of Confess this week, and I enjoyed it, but I think it will be even better as audio.
Have a great week ahead, happy reading, and enjoy working in your PJs 😉

Agreed, our snow is gone as well. It took some of the larger piles almost a week to melt. I am sure winter will roar its ugly head one more time.

  7. Celine

We had some lovely weather as well. Maybe not flip flops weather, but I could sit outside without a coat and the sun was shining, so I was more than happy (: Have a great week!

And cheers to working in jammies. I get to do that two days a week now, and I love it. Have a wonderful week. 🙂

    Hi Everyone!
I’m trying this out today for the first time! I do a weekly NYTimes Bestsellers of the first 15/20 but first up above I go over what went on at the blog, reviews, giveaways, etc. Next I do what is current at the blog such as Giveaways, new reviews, or anything else like that! Lastly, I do an update for the week ahead! I tell everyone what they can expect to happen, and I ALWAYS forget something! LOL! I sometimes will do a FLASH Giveaway, too! If I happen to have an extra $5 or $10, I’ll do a giveaway for that amount! I try to keep it fun!
Oh! A few weeks ago I went on a RANT about 50 Shades hitting the Bestseller list again!!!!!!!!! NO!!!!!! I did a giveaway, but if ANYONE left in their message they were reading anything with 50 in it, they were OUT! LOL!!!!! I link the books to Amazon so they can click on them and go right TO the book, but I REFUSE to link the 50 up anymore! I’m DONE with it! Had it! LOLOL!!!
Okay! I’m rambling! This sounds like FUN! I’m catching up doing some things, and I’ve wanted to do this for a while, so here I am!!!
Shorts? I don’t like you anymore!!! LOL!! Just kidding!! I’m in Michigan, so I won’t see shorts until JUNE!!!!! LONG time away yet! I have a feeling we might have a very cool summer, too, given the temps have been SO cold! The freezing has gone below the frost line, and when it goes down to -25 at night, you should have heard this house popping and what sounded like exploding! LONG story, but the ground has frozen below the regular frost line for our state, which makes like little earthquakes in any water that would never normally freeze, freeze! That causes pops and movement in the house to sound like it’s from the roof but it’s not! It from way below, underground! It was amazing to learn about that!!! We had a straight 6 week run of below zero temps starting at about 5:00pm’ish when they started to drop until about NOON the next day! Some days it didn’t go above zero! It bothered me! I was getting depressed from it!
Now it’s GONE!!! It’s still MUCH colder than what it should be for this time of year, in the 30’s, but I do know when I changed the water filter on my Brita water pitcher the date I changed it to is 2 months, so that will bring the first weekend of May! Leaves will be on the trees that weekend!!! Weeeeeeee!!!! 2 months! I can hold on!!!
    Take care everyone!

    • kimbacaffeinate

I am looking forward to green grass and leaves on the trees. We sometimes see snow here in early May. Dang, you have to wait a long time for shorts weather. Anything in the 70’s and my flip-flops and shorts come out. Have a lovely was good to catch up with you.

  17. Lark

Huzzah for warmer weather! There are crocuses in my (otherwise completely neglected) garden, and the snow is gone. This week, I might actually have time to start taking walks again!

Also congratulations on being able to work from home. It has its drawbacks, but comfy clothing is one of the perks (as I know well.)

    Have a great week!

    • kimbacaffeinate

I use to work from home when the kids were in elementary school and then when they were teens I went to working outside of the home a few days a week. I am excited to be my own boss again.

  18. Angela

That is great you where able to open up the windows and wear shorts. I love when the weather turns and I can do the same. This week we have had some good weather in CA and where able to air out the house. I use to live in NE, MN, MO, IN (lol) so everyone in the mid-west I understand the weather. I sorda miss the weird weather, but I like not having to deal with snow. Have a great week Kimberly.

    • kimbacaffeinate

LOL, We have lived in NJ, FL, VA and NE. I miss Florida weather most of all. VA was a nice mix ..nothing to extreme and NJ and NE are just crazy.

The warmer weather has been wonderful here in the Midwest. Hard to believe it has been so warm. Congrats on starting your home pj time job! That sounds like it will be great. Haha! I sound like you when I describe our weather here in Michigan. I always hesitate to say its okay to put up the cold weather clothes b/c we get freak snow storms right up until Mother’s Day and sometimes afterward.

I’m enjoying your TBR Piles Readathon right now.

Look forward to what you have coming up for the new week. The post on NOLA as a setting looks fun and I always enjoy the intro to new books through your reviews.

I will have to check out that link for learning to use Edelweiss. I gave that up as a hopeless cause after I visited their site. 😉

    • kimbacaffeinate

Yes…our weather can turn on a dime here. We have had snow in May and it killed all of our flowers, damaged is awful when it happens.

  25. Susan

Hmm you got me thinking of books set in New Orleans — off the top of my head I’d say A Confederacy of Dunces is New Orleans all the way … and maybe something by Anne Rice? cheers.

LOL, yep the minute I came up with the post idea..all the books I’ve read set there fell out of my head..Rice for sure.

  26. Kristin T.

Linking up late as I just got back from a weekend in DC…got lots of steps in walking around sightseeing, though! We had some warmer weather this past week here in NY, too and had quite a bit of snow melt, too. Am really hoping we don’t get any more snowstorms, though! Have a great week!!!
