Oh just the idea of flip flops sounds so wonderful. I’m so tired of being cold! I’m looking forward to seeing what you think of the new Sarah Morgan. I haven’t gotten to read it yet but I’m looking forward to it. I’m excited for the TBR Challenge. I’ve been trying to organize my review books to make sure I have plenty of time to clear some books off my overflowing shelves! Have a great week!

I have been doing that too Katherine. I am almost done my reviews for March, and kept April light to fill in with TBR books.

  2. Karen Blue

Nice haul! I can’t imagine listening to The Deep, I was terrified just reading it.
I am so ready for flip flops! After I get a pedicure, of course. My skin is so dry here in the frozen north.
I wish I could participate in the TBR challenge next month, I have so many planned reviews coming up for March. I don’t see how I could get anything done.

I went and got a pedi last week, but it has been too cold to admire Bummer about the challenge, but I do this every year in March. In May I do a clean sweep arc challenge so maybe that will work for you this year

  3. Sarah

Totally need to start sharing posts from my favorite bloggers more! I tried to do that the other day via twitter but kept forgetting. I have the memory of a goldfish. Anywoo, decided to take you up on the TBR challenge and I’m excited for it!! My TBR could use some dusting off. 😛 What is this xxxx? I’ve never heard of it. o.O

Wow, look at all those books! And gift cards too, nice.

What us show xxxx about? I haven’t heard of it. But I’ve been binging on NetFlix, most recently M*A*S*H.

That snowman pic is me to a T. Bring on spring!

*blushes* XXXX stands for WTF was the title of that show we were watching. It was Blacklist..I was going to double check title and add it…I blame my grandbaby for showing up and distracting me.

  5. Greg

Yay for flip flops. I am so ready, we are COLD here all week and I am ready for some warm weather. Sharing is good- thank you for reminding us. Have a great week!

The month flew by! Work was crazy this month so I didn’t get to read as much as I wanted to. I’m looking forward to your Take Control so I can take a break from my ARCs! Have a great week =)

I just heard the Sarah Fine books on audio last week, they are really good. I hope you like them too!
Ugh, I hate flip flops! Maybe cause it’s Summer 80% of the year here in Tucson and everyone wears them. I can’t stand the flop flop noise 🙂
    Enjoy your new books!

LOL, well I wear nicer ones not those rubber things that slap the back of your feet.

Slow would be nice. Quit your job…days really slow down then.

  8. Lexxie

I got Undertow this week, too, Kim, and I’m really looking forward to reading it. The premise is definitely promising.

Five books and almost 60’000 steps is pretty darned good when you know you also spent a lot of time cuddling Sophia AND binge-watching TV.

I long for my flip-flops as well. I wish this winter would just be over already. Have a fantastic week ahead and happy reading.

  9. Berls

LMAO! I love the snowman picture – seriously, no snow! I actually have no place to complain, our weather’s been good. But it’s about to suck here too 🙁

I’m excited for Take Control – I have my sign up coming this week. Five books is awesome – I’m reading two long books right now and I’m starting to wonder if I’ll manage to finish everything I need to this month :/ Great job on the steps – hope y’all like the treadmill you find. I love mine.

Enjoy your new reads, lots of goodies there! I have Cursed by Fire too and I’m looking forward to reading it. Happy reading 🙂

  10. Red Iza

A friend lent me 2 seasons of Blacklist, I should be watching it in not too long, glad to see it’s very good. I hope you loved Marine for hire as I did, Tawna Fenske is so much fun 🙂 It’s freezing cold out there, we’re far from spring, let’s kill winter ! Have a nice, warm, cozy sunday 🙂

My review posts today for Marine for Hire..and you are probably the reason I picked it up. Blacklist is cool. We won’t see temps above freezing this week. I am over winter.

    • kimbacaffeinate

I grew up on the East coast and we spent summers at the beach. As an adult we spent 12 years living within minutes of it…and now we are landlocked. I miss it 🙁

  11. Diamond

I heard Sanctum was really good! Must know your thoughts on that one when you get to it. What an amazing week you had! I’m going to check out your blogger post for the tips this week. I always like to read endless tips about contacting publishers, I feel like I can never learn enough even though now I do have some contacts and love that.
I already signed up for the TBR challenge — can’t wait actually! Is there another one for May or am I dumb and thought it started in March? 😐 *hides*

    • kimbacaffeinate

You are brilliant Diamond..the one in May is Clean Sweep for ARCS and the Take Control of Your TBR pile begins in March 🙂

  12. Jan

I love the snowman picture! It is hard to believe it’s almost March. Winter certainly came late for us in the mid Atlantic states. We have a layer of ice this morning on our snow, but we should get some melting today.

Seveneves is a book I want to read. I’ll be interested in how you like it. Have a great week, Kimbal!

You blow me away – 5 books AND an entire season watched of a show?!

Ahhhh, flip flops and sun and sand. I’ve been thinking about those 3 things a LOT this week. I can’t complain b/c our winter has been minimal. But I really, really don’t like the cold.

Enjoy your week – and your snow! 😉

Your snowman picture reminded me of my neighbor’s little girls. They built a snowman on Tuesday. It’s been so cold in Philly that he’s still standing on their patio. On Friday, they were having a tea party with him. It was so cute, and my heart breaks knowing how upset they’re going to be when he melts.

I have my post all ready and waiting for the Take Control Challenge, so excited for it 🙂

It has been brutal everywhere. Especially the south. I enjoyed our marathon watch of the first season and can see how folks do it.

    • kimbacaffeinate

I know I shouldn’t complain, but I usually read at least 3 hours a day and that did not happen.

  18. Kristin T.

We had more snow last night…and it’s supposed to be really cold again this week. I’m so ready for spring!!! Bring on those flip flops 🙂 Lots of good reads coming up! And great week with your steps, too! Hope you find a treadmill – I’ve been thinking about getting one myself. I do belong to a gym, but it’s been so cold, I don’t really want to go out at all!

LOL, I went and got a pedi last week just to feel like it was warmer. They look cute, but it is too cold to go without socks!

  19. Ann Noser

LOVE the idea of trying to get rid of the snow with a voodoo attack on the snowman. haha

It’s SO COLD and I’m SO SICK of it. Gah!

LOVED Blacklist’s first season…ever it took up this February, though, I feel kind of lost. We’ll see–it’s always worth watching to see Spader–he is the coolest. 🙂

    • kimbacaffeinate

I love Spader. Yes, bring on the Voodoo and get the snow out of here. It is 12 with a real feel of -10 here. Brrr.

I have trouble with my hip and knees due to RA and the cold only makes it worse so I feel for you Grace.

  23. Lark

I have to admit that I enjoyed the snow we had this week – especially since I didn’t have to go out in it much. But I totally understand how people in the North and midsection are ready for winter to be over – you folks have been pounded by cold this year. Me, I’m not much for the summer heat; it’s too humid here. I do love spring, though!

You got some great looking books this week, Kimba! I also love your suggestion to signal-boost other bloggers – and thank you for the shout-out!

LOL, yes your temps have been crazy, my in-laws are freezing in Moorehead City

  24. Micheline

Wow! Absolutely GORGEOUS haul of books here^^ I hope you love ALL of them!! Oh and that snowman pic made me crack right up – I don’t tend to mind Winter all that much but this year’s has been especially brutal o.O I hope we’ve gotten our quota of snow for the year but more than that I hope we don’t get any more BRUTAL deep chills *shudders* Happy reading and have a great week! x

I’m beyond frustrated with my internet service, so I’m not doing any visiting or sharing. I just want to rip my hair out! It took me forever to link here and that’s after trying to get my post published which was a mini nightmare. Grrrrr! At least we’re going to Cutie Kyleigh’s 1st bday party in a bit. Good reminder to share posts. I’ve made a better effort lately and I love it when others do it for me.

I’d love to do your TBR Pile challenge, but I’ve got too many review commitments at the moment. I’m not doing badly though. I’ve managed a few TBR reads each week and I do my TBR pile reader vote at the blog so it helps a little. 😉 Good luck with yours!
