Sunday Post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted here @Β Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead. See rules here:Β Sunday Post Meme

I spent a lot of the week with my daughter and Sophia. It was a real challenge..NOT. She is adorable and my husband and I are so in love. Our weather has gone from warm to simply frigid and back again, so much so I am confused. We are expecting some snow today, but the kids are helping move family so we are watching Sophia. Hope ya all had a lovely Valentine’s Day. We rented a movie, ordered dinner in and just enjoyed a relaxing evening. I have a lot of reviews in different genres scheduled this week, I am so looking forward to the new UBB plugin so I can do dual reviews in one post. Have a wonderful week and stay caffeinated πŸ™‚

I’m curious to see what you think of Owl and the Japanese Circus. I’m so intrigued by the premise but some of the reviews I’ve read have been mixed. Sounds like you’ve had a lovely week and gotten some great snuggle time with Sophia! Stay warm (or cool depending on your weather!) Have a great week!

We’re expecting snow or sleet on Monday…it was such a nice day outside yesterday but now it’s freaking cold again. I’m over this yo-yo weather. I’m glad you’re getting to spend a lot of time with your daughter and granddaughter! The pictures of her are so cute, especially the little bear outfit.

Glad you had a nice Valentine Day. Ours was low key too, we went out but that was about it. We got snow and it’s COLD here- negative wind chill. Fun. Stay warm, and have a great weekend!

Yeah, I bet it’s such a hardship to spend time with little Sophia πŸ˜€ I’m glad you are enjoying that, and that you have the chance to really see her and cuddle her all the time these days πŸ™‚
You got some interesting books this week, I’ve been eying Owl and the Japanese Circus for quite a while. I hope you’ll enjoy your new books.
Have a great week and happy reading, Kim πŸ™‚

OMG I’m SO SO Excited that you got Poison Princess! I LOVE that series! It got me into Kresley Cole. I was seriously bothered by Jack in this book though, he acts like a major ass and she kind of overlooks it. Just ignore your hate for him.. lol, IF you have any.. lol. Because the series gets better and it’s so hot for a YA book (which I love). Can’t wait to hear your thoughts! I’m also SO stoked for the March challenge! πŸ˜€

Good luck resisting the cookies, lol πŸ˜‰ Use Sophia as an excuse : “I’ve got this lovely little baby in my arms, I simply can’t buy your cookies, my hands are busy !” Enjoy your weekend, I hope spring will come quickly, and give Sophia a kiss for me πŸ˜‰

Yes to Vision in Silver. I hope you’ll enjoy listening to that one as much as I enjoyed reading it. Looking forward to your tips and tricks on contacting an author or a publisher. I have so many question marks on my mind right now. lol πŸ™‚ Happy week ahead, Kim!

I was supposed to go to Saturday game night at my friend’s, for a special French Valentine themed get together, and play Mille Bournes, but it started snowing pretty hard, so she canceled it. It was okay because I had chocolate and books. My son felt bad that I was staying home, so when his friends picked him up they got me McDonalds and swung back around with it. That warmed my heart! One of my blogging friends just finished Vision in Silver and gave it five out of five stars. It is wonderful that you got to spend a ton of time with Sophia. πŸ™‚

Baby snuggles are *the* best thing. It’s the one thing I miss now my youngest is nearly 5. There’s something about that smell, and the noises they make.
    Have a good week xx

So glad you’re getting to spend so much time with your granddaughter. My husband and I had a similar Valentine’s Day. Very nice!

I envy you getting Vision in Silver and in audio! That’s great. It’s one of the books I’m really looking forward to reading next month. We’re getting frigid cold and high winds here this week. Maybe a little snow. Nice to stay indoors and read! Hope you have a great week, Kimba!

Oh our weather is crazy too. My sinuses don’t know what to expect. Valentine’s Day…well, I’m not one for all the flowers and chocolate. But Kiddo bought (I think way to much) for his girlfriend and wanted to go out to lunch. I don’t do dinner out on Valentine’s Day, it’s so crazy busy! But we did go to lunch and had a great time.

It is awesome you are spending the time with Sophie and all. Glad you are enjoying it so. πŸ™‚

Baby smell is the best. And I just love to snuggle the little ones. Hope you find the energy to say no on the cookies front. They are bad for the diet, but oh so good.

    Have a great week!

Awesome week Kimba! I’m sorry you didn’t love Red Queen but Marked sounds awesome. Nothing wrong with a nice quiet Valentines day sometimes staying in is better IMO. You received some great looking books and I’ll have to keep my eyes open for reviews of Owl and the Japanese Circus. Thanks so much for hosting this weekly I hope you weather figures itself out I’m in North cali and it’s doing the same thing warm cold warm cold. Have a great week!!!!

I’m curious to see what you think of Owl and the Japanese Princess & Poison Princess — both are books I’ve considered relatively recently. Also, I REALLY want to get Vision in Silver!

It’s awesome that you get to spend so much time with your family; my family has always lived spread out over the country, so I didn’t spend much time with my grandparents or cousins growing up.

  17. Michelle

NO Girl scout cookies in this house. I have banned them, since I buy them and no one eats them all but me…so no πŸ™‚

Grandma life is awesome, so much Sophia is never a bad thing. The love for a grandchild is really different than for your kids. Mine are still little but I love my kids so much I could imagine when they have a little one how much I will love them.

Have a great week Kim! Happy Reading

  18. Kathy

It’s Sophia’s first Valentines Day. She is so adorable! It is great to have a relaxing week and it’s nice we also have a long weekend. My daughter is selling Girl Scout cookies so it is going to be torture having them inside our house. I’ll just stay away from the kitchen until they are gone. Have a great week!

Sounds like a wonderful week! And girl scout cookies right next door? I’d be in serious trouble LOL!

Yeah, I’m looking forward to the new plugin too – I might start doing short story reviews together in one post – kinda like your coffee pot reviews, but for short/novellas instead. I hate using an entire post for 40-100 page book but I also like to review everything I read (I think I’m a bit OCD about it now). Thanks for the links! Have a great week Kimba πŸ™‚

Oh, Girl Scout cookies are the devil! But I’ glad you’re getting time in with Sophia.

Not sure why you need a UBB plug in to do a dual post, they’re not hard to do, but enjoy when it’s available!

We went to the movies and saw Boyhood, which was as awesome as the reviews say. Then we ordered Chinese for dinner and snuggled up on the couch… Great Valentine’s Day πŸ™‚ Meh, I actually love the sound of those Girl Scout cookies, which isn’t surprising since I’ve been putting on weight like crazy since I quit smoking 4 months ago (I eat all the time!!!) Your books look great, Kimba – I especially can’t wait to hear what you think about the Owl and the Japanese Circus! Have a great week <3

Sophia is so beautiful! When did the Girl Scouts get Caramel Delights? NVM, don’t tell me, I need to stay away! I have been wanting to start the Anne Bishop series. I’ve heard it is great. Enjoy your week!

Great haul. You have some books that I’ve checked out but have been unsure on whether to ad them to my to-read list or not. I’ll keep a look out for your reviews on them and see if I can be persuaded. πŸ™‚

It sounds like the perfect Valentine’s Day! I’m happy you’re getting so much Sophia time. I’m sure it’s a hardship πŸ˜‰ I am about 70% through Vision In Silver, and loving it as much as the rest of the series.

Have a great week and stay warm!

Ooo, I liked your review on Maybe Someday. It’s been on my TBR list for a while. I need to just move it up a bit. So, you obviously enjoy the Kate Daniels series, I just read Burn of Me, and really liked it but wanted more romance. How is Kate Daniels in the romance department?

I don’t have a Valentine, so I just had a girl’s night in with my sister and a friend (who does have a boyfriend…but they celebrated Friday night haha). I saw Kingsman friday night though- such a good film!

I’m so glad you’re getting to spend all this time with Sophia! And I know your daughter appreciates the help. My mom stayed with us for a bit after Robin was born, and it was such a blessing. Sorry the weather has been so crazy – here too. A week ago we went for a walk in shirtsleeves. Today it is 17 degrees out, with snow expected tonight. Make up your mind, Mother Nature! (I guess she had a hot flash last week LOL.)

So glad you’re enjoying the grandbaby! I’m going to go check out your Red Queen review and I’m looking forward to seeing what you thought of The Conspiracy of Us and One Wish. I added way too many ebooks over the past month! I need to figure out a system of deciding which books I would like most because I obviously can’t read all of them. I Remember You has caught my eye a couple of times. Poison Princess I couldn’t do. Just wasn’t for me. I hope you enjoy listening to it though. Happy new week! πŸ˜‰

haha I totally get it, I’m smitten by my granddaughter. Aren’t they just the best!! I get a lot of steps in chasing Mia while she crawls but I’ve been craving Cherry Ripe chocolate bars this week. Those chocolates were my motivation and reward this week … sometimes it’s the little things πŸ˜‰
