Sunday Post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted here @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead. See rules here: Sunday Post Meme

I need to finish start my Christmas shopping..tick-tock..epp! Are you done yet?  I am going to go out this afternoon. So far I have picked up a few gift cards for out of town family but beyond that..I have nothing. *facepalm* I did by all the ingredients for my holiday baking and will begin this week.  I joined tsu and you are welcome to friend and follow me there: I am really enjoying the site. It has a few kinks that I am sure they will work out. It so needs an edit button. I post a lot via my smartphone and it has a nasty habit of changing words on me. I need to slow down and re-read before hitting post. I hope you all have a terrific week. Be sure and check out the challenges around the sphere.

I’ve been hearing about tsu and am super curious! I don’t anything else to keep track of but I also don’t want to miss out on the fun. I think I jumped the gun with the TBR Challenge and kind of already signed up. Whoops! Sorry about that. I have already decided to be more prepared for it this year than I was last year and am already limiting the reviews I’m accepting for March. I’m going to get that shelf under control!

LOL, I love that you signed up, and I always have that link up and in the menu early…I love seeing you linked up already 🙂 tsu is fun, I am seeing more peeps, chatting more and I like that it posts to my Facebook page. I have actually seen an increase in comments there too.

    • kimbacaffeinate

We are always done by now..but it is not happening today. I have some kind of flu thing going on…gads.

  2. Lillian

I’ve been hearing a lot about tsu on Facebook recently and it’s got me curious! Honestly I have a hard enough time keeping track of all the social media outlets out there as it is. I’m not sure I could do another one!! Looking forward to the COYER challenge. This is my first year blogging and I haven’t joined any challenges yet so I’m excited 😀 Good luck Christmas shopping! Have a good week!

    • kimbacaffeinate

One of the things I like is that you can comment there and have it post on your Facebook page too. I am seeing an increase in comments on Facebook..LOL

    • kimbacaffeinate

We are always done by now, and sadly won’t be today either since last night I came down with some kind of virus..fever, chills and the like. Hopefully it is only a 24 hr bug.

  3. Bea

Oh, you’ll like the Alpha & Omega series; it’s so good. Jax, Steph, and I will be doing a group review of Dead Heat.

I also need to do Christmas shopping, I’ve only bought a few. Eeep. We can do it!

    Have a great week!

Thankfully my kids are grown so it isn’t like years past..but I need to get it done *sigh*

  4. Laurel-Rain Snow

I take the easy way out with gifts: gift cards, because that’s what the young ones want. Enjoy your new books…and I see that next week, you are reading The Cinderella Murder. I can’t wait to read it…it is on my stacks.

Yes we do that for our teen nieces, but our kids have asked for specific things. We should be able to do it in one shopping trip…but I got sick last night so it won’t be today..grr.

    • kimbacaffeinate

:snort: Sometimes the auto correct is hilarious..but yeah I need to slow down and double check before clicking..

  5. Greg

I was pretty behind on shopping too but we went out today and got some done. I just have a bit to go now… don’t feel bad, as hectic as life is it happens. I always envy those who get their shopping done so early. 🙂 I’ll have to check out the 42 challenge, haven’t seen that one.

  6. Berls

I’m usually where you are with Christmas gifts – but this year I did much better and I’m just about done. I have maybe 3 or 4 more gifts to buy and I’m done! Woo-hoo!

I signed up for Tsu, but I haven’t done anything else yet… literally no picture, nothing. I guess I need to explore. But I can’t even keep up with my current social media sites…

I’m so jealous! Anna & Charles #4! That’s a series I’ve been reading since before blogging! I hope you enjoy it 🙂 Have a great week and good luck Christmas shopping!

  7. Pages and Tea

I can’t wait to read your thoughts on The Oversight as I have that and Afterworlds next up on my TBR pile and I can’t decide which to read first!

Good luck with your Christmas shopping. I managed to get mine done over the last week or so (I was without internet so used the time that freed up :)) but usually I’m stuck for ideas and end up leaving it until really late.

Kim, I’m as bad as you are… I haven’t bought a single present yet, and I just don’t know when I’ll have the time to get to it. I do kind of have to hurry up, since there’s only 10 more days left.
Tsu is good, I wish it had an edit-button too, though. Sometimes I type too fast and don’t even see what I mis-typed before it’s too late.
Love the books you got this week, Kim. I hope you’ll enjoy them all. I can’t wait to see what you think of the Alpha and Omega on audio.
Enjoy your Sunday, good luck shopping today.

I planned to do it today, but sadly I have some sort of virus. Hopefully we get out this week. Yep..we need an edit button for sure!

  10. Tressa

I’ve been so crazy busy. Even more than usual. I need to check out some of your posts and Tsu too (thanks for sharing). I have almost everything done for Christmas except three gifts. They’re hard ones too. Have a fabulous week, Kimba!!

I know exactly how you are feeling. Only one present is bought still , was planning to go shopping today but it was stinky hot here. The only thing that is even organised the is the stuff for baking LOL. Yeah I’m loving tsu but I wish it did have an edit button too and I’m hating how if you upload a pic to go with your post , it goes underneath if there is link with a preview there already. It didn’t use to be like that or was I dreaming

    • kimbacaffeinate

I love Briggs’ Mercy series and read an anthology with Alpha & Omega in it. I am at 50% and loving it. Glad your shopping is done.

  13. Red Iza

I’ve almost finished my Christmas shopping, including my own present I found this morning at a Christmas market ! I want to read Karma and the cover of Cold iron has been making eyes at me for some time now ^^ For the Christmas presents, never forget internet allows you to choose stuff and have it delivered right to your home, I use it a lot, no crowd, no stress ! Have a great week 😉

    • kimbacaffeinate

I use the internet a lot but our kids are grown and thought I wanted to do the whole shop with hubby and have dinner out thing..but it might be internet shopping.

    • kimbacaffeinate

Welcome to the club. I will not be getting it done today either as I took ill last night with some sort of god awful virus.

  14. Holly

Every year I tell myself I’m not going to wait till the last minute to shop for gifts. I HATE the crowds. I HATE not being able to find what I want. And I do the majority of my shopping on Amazon anyway – free 2 day shipping and all. But every year I find myself still shopping way too close to Christmas day. UGH! As for that TSU site, I haven’t looked at it yet but have been seeing bloggers and authors alike talking about it this week. I gotta admit though – I’m tired of all the “new and improved” social media sites. It always feels like a popularity contest in a lot of ways. If I could wave my magic wand it would be that there was only one that people used. For now, I’m boycotting it. Thanks for featuring me today in your Around the Blogosphere. 🙂

    Enjoy your new books!

Nothing wrong with waiting it out. I do like the tsu posts to my Facebook page and it has giving me a boost in comments there. I have never shopped this late. Usually I am done the first week of December and do both internet and store.

  15. Celine

I tend to get super stressed if I don’t do my shopping early, so I’ve already bought all the gifts 😀 Some of them still have to arrive, since I ordered them online, but I don’t mind that part all that much.

  19. Michelle

Tsu is different and I actually like it and it seriously needs a edit button. I think this week it was totally over run by Book Bloggers and Authors lol, I made .06 cents so far..what will I do with all that money 😀

Look I don’t want to brag but I only have like 3 things left to get and then the wrapping marathon begins 🙂 However I haven’t gone through everything I bought yet so who knows I might be at the store next weekend speed shopping 🙂

Can’t wait to do your challenges again this year 🙂 I have signed up for so many but I think it’s what I need to get myself reading like I use to. I see a lot of fun for this coming year because this year was a bit of a drag!

    Have a great week Kim!

LOL, not thinking money will truly be need to reach 100.00 before you can actually cash in..could take a lifetime. So nice you are about done with shopping. I thought we would go and be done this afternoon, but an illness has thrown me for a loop. Hopefully one night this week.

    • kimbacaffeinate

  25. Reanna

You’re a brave woman to be heading out for some shopping today. I’ve read a couple of the Alpha & Omega books, but I need to catch up (shocking, right? LOL). My mom enjoys the series, though.

Cold Iron looks awesome, and I added Karma to my wishlist last week. Have fun baking and good luck with shopping! Have a great week, Kimba 🙂

  26. Nicole

I’m hosting a 2015 Discussion Challenge – I’d love it if you could add it to your list! (I just put up the linky today!).

I do almost all of my Christmas shopping online, so I’m doing okay – laziest Christmas shopper ever! I LOVE having Amazon Prime!

I haven’t checked out Tsu yet. I think I’ll go do that now!

    • kimbacaffeinate

Will add it Nicole! I usually utilize the web for shopping but our list was small this year and thought hubs and I could make a date of it.

  27. A Voracious Reader

I’ve got about half of my shopping done. Most of the rest will be online and then a few gift cards need to be bought. And stocking stuff. *sigh* I really do not like shopping. As far as Tsu goes, I’m reserving judgement. There’s something about that site that seems hinky to me. My gut says stay away, at least for now. I’m looking into another social media site for the book world. I can’t say anything else just yet, but if it gets up and running, it’ll be for all things books. Stay tuned. 🙂

Hey Kimba, found you on Tsu! I “Tsued You!”

There’s one blog in the link up who I would have liked to comment on but they wanted to verify my email. I don’t mind doing that when I am subscribing to something but it makes it way to much work to comment, go and check my email, verify it and then go back to submit the comment. I am commenting about this in the hopes that the blogger will see this and understand why I did not comment. Obviously, however, people are free to run their blogs as they desire but this was too much for me. What do you think?

I’m going to have to do some online shopping this next week. I can’t believe that Christmas is less than 2 weeks away! In the meantime, I have one more week of work in 2014 and that involves an out-of-town trip, so I won’t be stepping into stores until the 20th or so. Whatever I can’t get online, I’ll have to brave the mall with the rest of the last-minute shoppers.
