Sunday Post

For the month of October my binge-fest allowed me to read/listen to 37 books, although to be fair 7 were novellas and four were audiobooks. Woot! Don’t forget to FALL BACK for Daylight Savings . I don’t know about you but I am looking forward to that extra hour sleep. We are in the middle of a cold snap, and saw our first freeze Saturday morning.  This week the Ho-Ho-Ho read-thon begins and it is not to late to join.  I am co-hosting the Black Friday Book Bonanza, it is a giveaway hop and you are welcome to link up or skip the shopping crowds and hop for books and gift cards.  Hope you all have a wonderful week and stay caffeinated!

Turning back the clock always bothers me… even if it is an extra hour of sleep!! Right now I am soooo tired… ZZZZZZZZ

Hmm, the link doesn’t open for another day. 🙁

You had quite the book week! I am also looking forward to another hour of sleep; I like sleep. 😀 Or maybe I’ll read instead.

Enjoy your hour and have a great week!

I don’t like time changes! I have clock collections that require me to take them down off the wall and change by hand…LOL.

I just read Dark Witch this week, so I noticed your Blood Magick…I gather that’s the third one.

    I’m not seeing the Linky….?

I also one to read First Frost, by Sarah Addison Allen.

I love this time change but hate it in the spring. That extra hour of sleep is NICE! Great books this week! I’m curious about the Sarah Addison Allen so I look forward to seeing what you think of it. We’re in a cold snap as well and I don’t like it! Have a lovely week!

Ooo it is cold here too, we had our first freeze and of course I have a cough now. Grr. Yep, we can skip the spring forward..I loathe it. Ha.

    • kimbacaffeinate

Woot! glad you joined too and seriously yes. I would like to take time off around the holidays. Good luck Camille!

  5. Greg

It’s cold here too, we actually had snow flurries yesterday although it didn’t stick around. I forgot about the time change, but I’ll gladly take that extra hour of sleep. 🙂 Looking forward to the readathon.

Nice review of Sky Pirates. Hmm maybe I read those…

Um, Greg…you aren’t allowed to mention the white stuff at least not until December..mmmkay. :snort: Did you see NC on the news today, near TN..boy did they get s*ow.

    • kimbacaffeinate

Bummer on the lettuce. I need to go out and cover my annuals so they come back next year. I have the fire place going so its toasty inside tonight.

    • kimbacaffeinate

LOL. I will send a reminder to all about them…that is if you signed up, otherwise I got nuttin’

  6. Berls

I can’t believe it’s already November! We’re pretty chilly here too (and I don’t like it, I like the heat) – though you’d probably laugh at the 50s that are making me snuggle up.

As much as I wish we didn’t mess with the clocks, I will appreciate that extra hour of sleep tonight! 😀 Have a great week Kimba!

Oooh! You got When and Nora Roberts’ new one. I’m curious to see what you thought of What to do with a Bad Boy. I liked that one the best out of that series. I hope you have a great week!

Oh my an impressive number of books even if a couple were novellas. I love the fall back time, although we just had a spring forward a few weeks back, which …. I don’t love, but good all same with longer evening sun. I just bought Blood Magyk earlier in the week, and will now listen or read the books now whole trilogy is out!

We could skip the spring Enjoy the trilogy and thanks Kathryn.

  9. Trish

Our clocks went back last weekend and I enjoyed every minute of that extra hour in bed. The dark evenings on the other hand not so much….
I’m eying up your Lisa Unger book, I love her writing style. Happy reading.

    • kimbacaffeinate

Oh the Lisa Unger is 3 novellas this is the first and was quite good.

    • kimbacaffeinate

You too Linda. Happy Walking this weekend. I love seeing your pics on Facebook.

    • kimbacaffeinate

Oh yes between one clicks and arc arrivals it was a mini-Christmas

    • kimbacaffeinate

I loved the first novella by Unger too and plan to read book two today. SAA is a favorite of mine as well

  10. Lola

Our daylight saving time was last week and only at half past three in the afternoon I realized the clock had to go back, so it felt like an extra hour of work gained! Normally I put the clock back in the evening so we gain an extra hour of sleep. I felt pretty tired this week due to the daylight saving time.

We’re having some mild weather for this time of the year, at least that’s how it feels. It was pretty warm yesterday, although we also had some cold days this week.
You got some nice new books this week. I got When a few weeks ago from netgalley, it sounds so interesting! Enjoy your new books!

Thanks Lola, right now I feel like I got an extra hour of sleep, we will see how I feel tomorrow. I am excited about When.

    • kimbacaffeinate

Oh I loved Magic Burns and cannot wait to devour this one.

  11. Michelle

WAIT! We get an extra hour to sleep??? No one told my daughter lol she was up at 6 this morning (shes 7) It is FREEZING out today but I hate to say I am really looking forward to the chilly weather!
I can’t WAIT for the Ho Ho Ho Read a thon to start, was watching Xmas movies on Hallmark last night (seriously) and now I am kind of in the mood to read a few romantic holiday reads!.

Enjoy all your new reads and Have a great week Kimba!

    • kimbacaffeinate

Oh I love watching those silly holiday movies between Thanksgiving and hubby laughs at me, but it is the only time of year I like those types. Oh I remember when my kids were small and daylight savings messed them and my routine up.

    • kimbacaffeinate

Nice. I am listening to Kate Daniels and currently on book three. Reviews of one and two will post in Nov/Dec.

  12. Holly

DANG! You always blow me away with the number of books (novellas and audio included) you read in a month!! I had to force myself to stay awake until 11:00 last night (technically 10:00) so I didn’t wake up too early but that bright sunlight STILL woke me up at 6:30!! GRR! Enjoy all your new books!

Last month I was making up for all the books I didn’t read over the summer..LOL I haven’t read much this weekend at all. LOL

    • kimbacaffeinate

I surprised myself. I was on a total bender and neglected chores etc for the first two weeks, before I finally settled down..but it was a fun binge.

    • kimbacaffeinate

Yep, and I devoured it already. I couldn’t wait for Finn’s story. Enjoy it when it comes, hopefully your wait isn’t too long Catherine.

  13. Angela Adams

“What to do with a Bad Boy” – love that title! Looking forward to your review. I saw your new arrivals – you have a lot a reading ahead of you (smile). Oh, and, thanks for the “Running to Love” mention.

Okay – I am now almost back to the correct identity here. It just got cold here today – we haven;t had a frost yet but it is snowing right now. Happily, the owner of the cat who was living under my porch came by unannounced yesterday (without a cage) and when the cat saw her she went right out to her. We lent her a cage so she wouldn’t run away again. What a load off my mind.

Oh nice! I have had When waiting for me for awhile, but other review books keep popping up! That darn January release is what keep it pushed back. Sigh…

The rest of your reads are totally new to me but I hope you enjoy each and every one of them!

37 books? You’re amazing! We’re having very odd temperatures in the Netherlands, cold-ish one day, t-shirt weather the next. I’m not very much in the Christmas spirit yet, but I am looking forward to it!

I am so not ready for the holidays Celine, but it will be upon us before we know it. Our weather was like that, but has finally turned.

  17. Yvonne

I always want an extra hour of sleep, but my cat didn’t realize the time change and woke me up at 5 for her breakfast, but she didn’t realize the clocks changed it was 4. LOL (Yes, she ate anyway 🙂 )

I’m thinking of joining your Black Friday hop. That sounds like fun.

    Have a great week!

  18. Rita

No extra hour of sleep, in fact I am up too early… ugh! Hubby forgot to change bedroom clock.

I am looking forward to a new Lisa Unger, yay, and want to try First Frost and perhaps A Wolf in Winter, don’t know much about it. We finally had our first really cool day and evening so far since I’ve lived down here. I thought I’d be dancing in the streets after such a hot summer, now not so sure 😀

Wolf in Winter is 12th in a series, and I did not realize. Starting it was rough because I felt lost by the characters, but at around 13% we got to the case and I am caught up in it.

  19. Kathy

I hate the time change because I still end up waking up early! I guess my body is just used to getting up at 4 am for work lol. I can’t wait for the Ho-Ho readathon! I have my list ready! Have a great week and stay warm (it is finally getting colder here!).
