  1. Cyn

Happy (early) blogaversay! That’s a day before my birthday, haha. And thanks for the shout-out in the Around the Blogosphere!
Red Queen! I picked that up last week, can’t wait to check out! Hope you enjoy your new books and have a productive week with all the wedding preparations!

  2. Berls

I want Red Queen SO BAD! I saw that cover and knew I had to have it before I even knew what the book was about – so just a bit jealous there 😉

No news weeks are often the best weeks! And congrats on 3 years, that’s incredible! Heres to many more years!

I drooled over it last week, and was delighted to see I was pre-approved for it. I can avoid Edelweiss, but peeps share and then I fold *facepalm*

  3. Greg

Happy 3 years on the 14th Kimba, good for you! Hope it’s a great week for you. We are enjoying the late summer temps and I’m going to miss the warm weather when it goes away… 🙂

    • kimbacaffeinate

Right. I am trying to appreciate the calm before the storm..LOL Thanks Bea

    • kimbacaffeinate

I haven’t read any reviews but I am excited. Ha, yes in blogger years 3 is an oldie. LOL

    • kimbacaffeinate

Yes..damn Ashley and her posts. I spent yesterday adding them. A little whimsy makes me smile.

    • kimbacaffeinate

Thanks Naomi and quiet is good we should embrace it 🙂

    • kimbacaffeinate

I love Kat, since it was written in English it may be the better choice. Have a wonderful week and you are welcome

  4. Deasy

Three years! Happy anniversary to Caffeinated Book Reviewer! 🙂
I’ll be waiting for Red Queen review. Have a nice week ahead, Kimba.

  5. A Voracious Reader

I saw the deck pics on FB. Lookin’ good! Our pressure washer crapped out on us halfway through cleaning our deck, so half looks fairly new and the other half, well…yeah. Excellent haul this week! The ‘Marine for Hire’ book scares me though. Every book I’ve read lately has screwed up. Marines are popular as heroes and yet no one apparently wants to do the research about them. I end up all PO’d (my hubby and son are Marines), ranting at the book (and author) and swearing I’ll never read another book about a Marine again. Gah! *calm breath* Ok. I’m good. Have a wonderful week! 🙂

We are doing that barefoot paint since our deck is 15 years old. We replaced a few planks and steps as well. Fun stuff. I love Military books, my grandfather and Dad were in the service. I haven’t read ones that are overly bad.

    • kimbacaffeinate

As long as it is fun..busy can be good. Hope this week is spectacular Lola!

  6. Jan

You have done a lot with your blog in just three years. Congratulations!

You got some good looking books this week. Red Queen sounds especially good. And I’ve read a couple of the Kat Richardson books and really liked them. I want to read some more in that series.

Have a great week, Kimba. Good luck with all the wedding plans.

  7. Holly

Speaking of warm weather, we went from fabulous very unseasonable fall 80 degree weather one week back up to high humidity 100 degree weather the next. Summer in the south…. Congrats on your 3 year blogging anniversary! Enjoy all your new books. You got a big load this week!

  9. Katherine

Happy 3 years! When I was looking at the reviews you’ve got coming up I thought “Oh good none of these books really grab me.” Then I realized that all that means that at least 3 of these will end up being added to my TBR pile!

  10. Kathy

Happy early blogiversary!! I really like Heather Graham so it’s good to know that The Hexed can be read as a standalone (I would never get caught up in the series). I’m jealous you have The Red Queen! That sounds really good. Have a great week =)

  11. Rita

There are a few I knew about already on your review list, but To See the Moon Again has a beautiful image that caught my eye, and a melancholy blurb that pulled me in. I want to read this one, and hope you enjoy it and all your fine books this week.
I will remember to live, laugh, love this week as it is the last week my only son will live with us full-time until he moves to his own place across from his campus. He is the most like me of my 3 kids, and it will feel like a piece of my heart is now 1 1/2 hrs. away from me. We are planning on doing lots of family things together this week. Enjoy yours immensely in prep for your big event!

  12. Red Iza

You want some rain and wind and thunder and lightning ? Come over here lol ! I hope you’ll enjoy Marine for hire as much as I did, I have grown to love Tawna Fenske as a very funny author with great male characters 🙂

We are dealing with that this weekend my friend. I am looking forward to Marine for Hire..I am pretty sure you are the reason that is on my tbr pile!

  13. Audrey D Wilkerson (

Congratulations on your Blogoversary! It’s amazing, the number of books you’ve talked about in the last 3 years. You should do a post with some stats, like how many reviews, how many books you’ve read, how many books you won, were gifted, purchased…how many cowboy books you’ve read (cough).

    • kimbacaffeinate

I will include some stats on my post/giveaway. Hmm I am always up for a cowboy book 🙂

    • kimbacaffeinate

Thanks Kris. I am hoping Red Queen delivers it certainly looks good.

    • kimbacaffeinate

Thanks Candace…I can hardly believe it’s been three years.

    • kimbacaffeinate

Thanks Jessica, yes I had to have it for the cover..LOL

    • kimbacaffeinate

You are welcome, hopefully the funds are raised. I think this will really focus on readers needs and you know Ashley will make it user friendly.

    • kimbacaffeinate

Thanks Braine. The most stressful thing about the wedding are opinions..everybody has one..LOL

    • kimbacaffeinate

Thanks Jessica. I cannot believe how quickly the years have flown by

  15. Melissa (My words and pages)

Oh I’m glad you had a quiet week. It’s been crazy here with kiddo’s football stuff. I’ve been a bit MIA this last week because of it.

Happy blog birthday. 🙂 It’s awesome and so glad you are here with us. Hope you have a great week!

    • kimbacaffeinate

Football..yep been there done that. My son also played Rugby which was so much fun. Then the girls did traveling Show Choir and plays. I miss those days. Just to let you know your name doesn’t link to your blog anymore on WordPress. I would check your links.

      • Melissa (My words and pages)

Oh my. You were busy too! 😀 It is fun and exhausting, but fun. 🙂

Yes, I had to take my website link out of all WordPress comments I do. It seems WordPress thinks I’m spam and sends me to the spam folder instead of posting my comments. If I take my blog link out, my comment posts. It’s been doing that for months now. I don’t know why. Someone told me someone might have reported me or my blog as spam and it will work it’s cycle, but hasn’t happened yet. 🙁

    • kimbacaffeinate

First I read 250 to 307 books a year, average 3-4 a week. Next I post way in advance. Like for example (with the exception of a few late arc arrivals) I am reviewing for Sept and October now. I already have 1/2 of September done and about a week in October. To build a nice cushion, write some reviews for books you read pre-blogging and set up posts for 2 weeks. Then build from there. I could never read and post like this the night before..I know some bloggers who do though.

  16. Terri M.

Man, it’s been a crazy week as evidenced by the fact I’m just getting around to commenting on The Sunday Post on Monday night. Congratulations on your 3-year-blogversary. I’ve only been following you for a few short months, but I admire your blog, Kimba! I will you many more years of blogging success!!

    • kimbacaffeinate

Life happens Terri. Thank you for your warm wishes and kind thoughts.

    • kimbacaffeinate

Thank you sweetie! and yes that cover alone is reason to read it..LOL

  17. Teddyree

Bit late doing the blog rounds, it’s been a crazy couple of weeks this side of the world. Time for a quiet week so I can catch up. Ooh is that a new Samantha Young? Red Queen is on my wishlist … sounds like it’s going to be an awesome fantasy series!
Happy reading and Happy 3rd Blogoversary too 🙂
