  1. Michelle

I hope you have a good Memorial Day Kimba! I’m so behind on all of my blog reading, I’ve missed pretty much all of your posts this week! I’ll have to set aside some time soon. I’m glad you’re feeling better!

Life happens Michelle, and with not feeling well, I have only visited those who stopped by, so I need to catch up on yours too 🙂

    • kimbacaffeinate

I am quite sure I never want to get this bad boy again, it has sucked the life out of me. LOL. Have an awesome weekend Greg 🙂

  2. Christy

Woohoo .. I got 6th Grave too but haven’t read it yet. I want to get a bigg buffer on my upcoming ARCs first, and then that sucker will be all mine to devour. Have a great weekend.

I devoured it. Although I forced myself to make it last 2 days and then cried cause it was over. At least 7 will be out in October!

    • kimbacaffeinate

Thanks Sharon, every day my head gets a little clearer and my cough loosens to find my energy. Have a fantastic weekend Sharon!

  3. Berls

We’ve missed you too, Kimba. I hope you’re feeling much better! Don’t push too hard too fast – I know I always am eager to be back to full speed, but better to take it slow than get sick again. Thanks for the links too, I missed those posts this week!

Thanks Berls, this has kind of forced me not to push to fast. When I do I get clammy, start coughing up a lung and my head feels like it will explode. I missed blogging the most, but I could barely hold my head up, let alone read and comment. Thankfully everyday I see some kind of improvement. I am going to listen to my body and rest when it tells me.

    • kimbacaffeinate

Thanks Red, and I am so glad you picked up the In the company of killers series! I pre-ordered the third on audio and cannot wait!

    • kimbacaffeinate

Enjoy your long weekend Peggy and I am glad you enjoy those posts.

  4. kara-karina

I’m glad you are getting better, Kimba! Gorgeous books, my dear, hope you enjoy them and have a lovely weekend! I’m on Fifth Grave right now, so hopefully be able to read book #6 soon 🙂

Ooo Karina Fifth was my favorite of the series to date, enjoy!

    • kimbacaffeinate

It was fantastic, too short, and hilarious. I want more Reyes!!

  5. Melanie (YA Midnight Reads)

oooh I snagged Snow Like Ashes a while ago and am very excited! I hope we both enjoy it 😀

    • kimbacaffeinate

I did a fangirl gif review with no spoilers that will post in early June. I love the series:)

    • kimbacaffeinate

Sweet, yep I talk about things that should be there to make visiting your site easier and keeping peeps there longer.

    • kimbacaffeinate

Thanks Sharon, every day I see improvement, despite being so darn tired. Have a wonderful week my friend!

    • kimbacaffeinate

Sixth Grave rocked Carol, it was an excellent recovery read.

    • kimbacaffeinate

thanks Michelle, me too. I am excited about Snow like Ashes and so hope it delivers

  6. Cynthia

Glad to hear you’re feeling better! I’m so jealous of all you people who have got Snow Like Ashes. I want to read that so badly! The cover is just amazing.

I am excited and anxious to see her interpretation of the Nutcracker.

    • kimbacaffeinate

I adore that series and cannot wait! They are keeping it under tight wraps and even reviewers are getting finished copies but not until two weeks before release.

  7. Lark

I’m so glad to hear you’re on the mend. Berls is right; please take care of yourself and don’t overdo things! Have a good, restful 3-day weekend, and I can’t wait to read your Book of Life post!

I’m one of those hanging out for The Book of Life, given how the last one finished. Shame there won’t be any more Kit Marlowe…or will there?

    • kimbacaffeinate

Thanks Melissa, every day I come back a little. I just need to behave myself *snort*

  9. Kristin T.

Glad to hear you’re on the road to recovery. Be sure to take it easy – I know when I get really sick, it takes a while before I’m 100% again. Anyway, hope you have a great week and enjoy your books! I’m off to BEA this week and can’t wait!

    • kimbacaffeinate

Thanks Terri, the giveaway is unique and one fans will adore!

    • kimbacaffeinate

Hopefully after BEA they will get caught up on approving requests. Snow Like Ashes is a dark retelling of the Nutcracker.

    • kimbacaffeinate

thanks Bea, slow and steady makes Kimba better 🙂

  10. Catherine

Saw Sixth Grave on display at Barnes & Noble the other night…how did this series get by me without notice? I’ll have to do something about that!

Slow recoveries suck dishwater! I hope you’re having a nice, slow relaxing weekend. Turns out we can’t do much this weekend ourselves – my son has a bum leg so we’re hiding in the house playing video games.

Great books 😀 I’m intrigued by your week coming up!!!

    • kimbacaffeinate

Right?!? The doctor said it could take 4-6 weeks before I return to full health..i was all WTF? LOL Hope your son feels better, gaming is fun!

    • kimbacaffeinate

Thanks Tonyalee, I hope it is good and appreciate the well wishes:)

  14. Michelle

Kimba! What was wrong? Were you sick? I was just getting back into the swing of things myself after getting back from vacation and I am still playing catch up.

I feel bad that I didn’t even know what was going on.

I hope you feel better. I am going to go play detective around your blog and see if I can figure it out

Hey Michelle, I had/have bacterial pneumonia and for almost ten days I didn’t blog at all. Lots of peeps didn’t notice since I already had posts scheduled..the only tell was that I didn’t rely to or visit anyone back. I started visiting blogs who commented here on Weds and until today did nothing more but sleep, cough, watch tv and read. It was hellish and nights still are..but I am slowly recovering. Thanks for asking and I hope your vacation was fabulous!

    • kimbacaffeinate

My understanding is that it is a retelling of the Nutcracker.

    • kimbacaffeinate

I devoured it too, good recovery read 🙂 Now we wait for 7!!!

    • kimbacaffeinate

Very ill with bacterial pneumonia but I am slowly getting better. Thanks Andrea!

    • kimbacaffeinate

thanks Ali, I appreciate it and thanks for stopping by everyday. It meant a lot to me 🙂

  15. Nick

Snow Like Ashes looks so good and isn’t that cover the prettiest?
I can’t wait to read it myself.
I’m glad to hear that you’re feeling better now, Kim!
    Have a lovely weekend! 🙂

  16. Ginny

I’m so glad you are starting to feel a little better. I’ve missed you but continue to take it easy so you don’t go backwards in your recovery.

I can’t wait to see the giveaway you have for The Book of Life and Miss Mabel’s School for Girls is on my read list for next month so I’m curious to see how you liked it.

I hope you have a wonderful week and take care of yourself.

  17. Rashika

Ahh I am so sorry to hear you were ill Kimba! I hope you get well soon 🙂

I am so excited to read Sixth Grave on the Edge but I heard it ends on a cliffhanger so I am going to wait until the next book comes out before reading it but I hope you’ll enjoy it!

I grabbed an egalley of Snow like Ashes a while ago and I hope we both enjoy it! 🙂

I hope you enjoy the rest of your books and have a great memorial day weekend!! 🙂

    • kimbacaffeinate

The cliffy is no different then her other books in the series. Ya know how she drops that bomb in the last paragraph or so making you go What?!? OMG? What?!? was friggin’ awesome!

    • kimbacaffeinate

thanks Katherine. Hope your week is amazing!

    • kimbacaffeinate

Yes, if you like the All Souls Trilogy be sure and enter 🙂

  18. Tanya M

Sorry to hear you were feeling awful and glad you are on the mend. I got a sore throat and a nagging low fever Thursday and because of my RA medicine, I just can’t fight it off. I did catch up on some reading because it is the only thing I could do and finally finished Shadow of the Wind. I hope you will stop my linkup and link up with us! Here’s to better health this week!

See you understand. Be careful I started the Sat before Mother’s Day in the US with a tickle in my throat and by Tuesday it was in my left lung and I tested positive for bacterial pneumonia. It has been a rough crawl back and I still have junk and a cough.

      • Tanya

Yea, I understand. I wish in this way we didn’t understand each other 🙂 I would’ve gone for doc today if it weren’t a holiday! I will hopefully get in tomorrow cause my right ear hurts a little too. I guess I won’t be getting my infusion on Wednesday. Bacterial pneumonia sounds awful. did you have to stay in the hospital? My other doc had recommended a pneumonia vaccine but I still haven’t gotten one. I guess the vaccine wouldn’t prevent a bacterial one though I don’t know. Anyhoo, it’s amazing how quickly things progress and glad you are getting better each day! I’ll be thinking of you and wishing you a more speedy recovery.

        • kimbacaffeinate

Nope, I had the shot and sadly it doesn’t cover all strains. No I avoided hospital thankfully.

  19. Valeria
