I read a review of Nefertiti’s Heart and one clicked it!

Hey Kimba, hope this week is a good one and less stressful for you. I keep seeing River Road pop up so I read your review, it sounds good. I like that cover for some reason too. :)Just looks like it would be really suspenseful. And nice to have a book that keeps you guessing til the end. Best kind.

    Have a good one!

    • kimbacaffeinate

thanks Greg, she is one of my favorite authors. A quite, stress free week would be amazing!

  2. Christy

Images win. πŸ™‚ I see you have The Wild Ones review coming up. I’m reading it now, but I’m kind of over it already. Yay, you got Ruins too. Can’t wait to see what happens.

I liked Wild Ones, lol I am excited for Ruins but won’t crack it open till April πŸ™

  3. RedIza

I hope the week to come will finally be more relaxing for you ! The Forever song has a beautiful delicate cover, but I’m afraid I’m more intrigued by The wicked things we have done lol !
    Have a nice laid-back sunday πŸ™‚

How’s your mom? I hope her surgery went well and she’s on the mend!

Thanks for the mention πŸ™‚ That’s quite a haul you’ve got there – I noticed you grabbed Nefertiti’s Heart… I really want to after reading Carol’s review of book 2, but I’m trying so hard to be good with the spending. It wasn’t in any libraries though so I may just break down and get it. Maybe if your review blows me away…

Looking forward to the twitter party – fingers crossed my BF doesn’t get off work too early/too late and mess up my availability (we have 1 car so I have to drive him). Have a great week!

Thanks Berls she is still in ICU and her blood pressure is erratic causing her pacemaker to come on every 12-15 mins. They are working on adjusting meds. Her heart has been damaged and arteries are squirrel-y from fluctuating blood-pressure. I am now getting info third-party from family as my Mom lives in Florida and that in itself is stressful. I hope it all works out for Twitter Party πŸ™‚

  5. Michaela

OOO you got The Forever Song! I am so jelly! You always get the best loot! lol I’m not even finished with the series yet but I LOVE that purple cover!! Happy Reading Kim, you’ve got some great choices!

I like the look of How to Fall. Excellent post from Berls regarding cover reveals. I didn’t attempt anything like that yet, but have bookmarked the post. I’m still soaking up all the technical / blogging advice so thanks for this πŸ™‚
Have a great week and Happy Reading!

I so agree Julie *hugs* I hope this week is better for you!

  7. Rita

Wow Kimba, busy week! I can’t wait to check out the couple of reviews of yours I didn’t get to read yet, but I did read your River Road one and added that to wishlist. I also just added The Wicked We Have Done. The Jane Casey I won’t add yet because I recently got her first one and want to read them in order. Thanks for giving us a long list of titles to browse through πŸ™‚

    • kimbacaffeinate

Wait? What? Is How to Fall book two? *facepalm* Sunday Posts are window shopping for book lovers, hehe. I always find new books as I visit to add to my own wishlist.

      • Rita

Sorry for confusion. How To Fall is either the first in a series or stand-alone. I was thinking of her adult suspense series that she writes, my bad πŸ˜›

        • kimbacaffeinate

Oh *wipes brow* I have been really bad lately in missing the fact that a book is second or fourth in a series before agreeing to review it..LOL I will check out her adult novels!

  8. Terri M. LeBlanc

Kimba, I really enjoyed your review of Breakfast at Tiffany’s. It’s one of my favorite movies. I enjoyed the novel and the play when I saw it on Broadway last spring. I’m going to keep my eye out of the audiobook you reviewed. It’s the one way I have not enjoyed it yet.

Have a great stress free week!

yay, I hope we’ll both enjoy the new Kagawa book, I’m curious about it. You had many books this week, I hope they’re all good. Enjoy your new reads. Happy reading!

    • kimbacaffeinate

I love the trilogy and hope the final book delivers!

  10. Jan

You got some great looking books. I’m going to have to check them out on Goodreads. I’ve read some other books by Julie Kagawa so I’m especially interested in The Forever Song. I want to read some of your posts from last week, too! I hope you have a great week!

  11. Sandy

Congrats on 4 more books off your TBR pile! I did one and a half. I would have had more this week, but I squeezed an ARC in there too. I almost requested The Forever Song just because it’s the last in the series (I think), but I just didn’t love the first two books in the series so I know I would have put off reading it for a long time anyway. I hope you enjoy it though.

I did too Sandy, I had two arcs this week to read, one was planned and one was a “Kim, you have to request this book stat”- gotta love blogger buddies adding to your pile.

    • kimbacaffeinate

I cannot wait to read Ruins, but not till after the TBR challenge.

    • kimbacaffeinate

Agreed Kristin, that was an unplanned read, thanks to a friend who demanded I read it now.

  12. Yvonne

4 books off your TBR in a week? You’re doing great! Hope this is a good week for you and less stressful.

    • kimbacaffeinate

Thanks Yvonne and I read 2 arcs as well. Some people eat when I read..LOL

It because of the Take Control Challenge I host each March. It forces me to dig into my HUGE pile, of course I add more as soon as I read one..but that my friend is a subject for another day!

    • kimbacaffeinate

Squee I cannot wait to read it, but not till after the Take Control challenge..LOL

  15. Michelle

I have seen so many people with the Forever Song, I will have to look into that series. You got some amazing books, very nice haul.

I had to skip the read a thon this time, I didn’t have any books that were before March 1st. I was bummed. Will have to try again for next year. I have yet to do a read a thon and I really want to lol.

BTW How is your mom feeling? I hope she is better!!

    Have a great week

    • kimbacaffeinate

WHAT? You have no TBR pile, no back-log of books that could reach from Texas to Massachusetts? How have you maintained such a feat? I bow to your greatness Michelle. I am pretty sure I could give a book to everyone in the state of Texas.

  16. Cyn

Can’t wait to see the big 100 for Sunday Post! Awesome haul this week, I just grabbed Summer is for Lovers by Jennifer McQuiston, so I’m curious how her new book will be. I haven’t read any Julie Kagawa books yet, but I know everyone’s very excited for Forever Song, hope you enjoy! Have an awesome week (:

    • kimbacaffeinate

I cannot believe it is the 100th edition already..LOL I am loving the Blood of Eden series, but haven’t read any of Kagawa’s other books, although I do own a whole other series by her *headdesk*

  17. Jessica

  21. Kristin T.

I wish I had time for a read-a-thon right now…I could really use one! Between traveling for the 1/2 marathon last weekend and then having a big St. Patty’s Day party this coming weekend and having to work and about a million other things going on, I haven’t had much time to read lately and I’m quite bummed about it. Hopefully things will slow down soon!

    Have a great week!
