Sunday Post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted here @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead. See rules here: Sunday Post Meme

Between being sick and my eBook settlement windfall I have been busy one-click shopping this week. Aaand I bought the Doctor Who audible when it was a daily deal this week. (.99 cents) I could not resist having David Tennant read to me! I want all the Take Control participants to know I sat on my hands to avoid reading Nora Robert’s new release this week and stayed focused on my TBR pile. Never mind that I add more to the pile daily. Semantics!  Now to all of you who are members of do you resist Whispersync? LOL

In case you missed it last week: I am giving away your choice of an Amazon, B&N, or Paypal Gift card valued at 15.00 to celebrate the 100th edition of the Sunday Post. This giveaway is for participants of the Sunday Post only, as my way to say thank you! Just answer the one entry question below with your name and blog that you link up.  Thanks everyone and good luck!

It was nice and perfect because I was sick. I cannot wait to devour Michels book 🙂

  1. Kimberly

I am so jealous that you received Servants of the Storm, I can’t wait to get my hands on it! and I’ve been one clicking a bit this week (freebies) but was too lazy to list ’em. Can’t wait for the Clean Sweep Reading Challenge in May!
Hope you enjoy your haul this week 🙂

    • kimbacaffeinate

Glad you will be joining Kimberly. I am excited about SofS.

  2. Sophia

    Hope you feel better! 😀

I think I might have room for the challenge thingy… depending on topic? O_O (in other words, do enlighten me before May fills up, lol)

Hosting a challenge is easy. It needs to go live by 8 am (est) on the Saturday you choose and close by 11:59 pm (est) the following Friday. It can be any bookish challenge and you would need to provide a small prize.(INT). Email me if you would like more info. kimbacaffeinated at gmail dot com

Heh. I went on a spree with my settlement money too. I wanted to try and save it but … yeah, that wasn’t going to happen. Cool! I will have to join the ARC challenge.

I hope you’re feeling better; I go one-click crazy also when I’m sick. Hey, at least you re-loaded the TBR pile so you won’t run out of books. BWAHAHAHA As if. 😀

  5. Lauren

I’ve been eying the Ministry of Peculiar Occurrences. Will be sure to check back for your review.

    • kimbacaffeinate

I am curious myself Greg. I am doing much better..mostly a head cold now.

    • kimbacaffeinate

Yes it is Godiva was delicious! I enjoyed Broadchurch. I love that he was in Harry Potter movie too.

  6. Michelle

Everyone else seems to have gotten enough from their settlement to buy something else, I got a whopping .73 cents, lol! I’m going to make a point of listening to an audiobook this week (hold me to this) because I have a ton that I never touch and for some reason I really want to get audible. I’m putting the Nora Roberts series on my library list! I hope you have a good week!

Hahaha..ok for Amazon I got around 4.00 and for B&N 51.00. I am really enjoying audio. I listen when cleaning, walking and in bed.

    • kimbacaffeinate

Yes the chocolates had a very short, delicious life. I was so excited that Michels sent me the ARC. Amity look good and I so hope it delivers.

  7. Laurel-Rain Snow

Hope you feel better soon…and I loved that windfall, too! I clicked away and added books that I had bookmarked for “later.” Later came sooner!

I am eager for the new Nora Roberts book, too, but still haven’t read Dark Witch, resting on my Sparky. Must do that soon!

    Enjoy your week….

I will crack it open on April 1st. I hope to finish 2 more TBR books between today and tomorrow.

    • kimbacaffeinate

Right!?! I am hearing good things about it too 🙂 Thanks Melanie

    • kimbacaffeinate

I love the author and look forward to it:) thanks Finley

    • kimbacaffeinate

that is awesome Carol. Yeah it was like Christmas for a lot of peeps. My friend got over 100.00 I couldn’t believe it:)

    • kimbacaffeinate

I visit a lot of blogs daily and read so many good reviews and end up clicking and buying..LOL Thanks Julie 🙂

  8. Melliane

Oh I just love the Incryptid series, it an amazing one! I’m curious about your reviews for next week as I’ve read some. happy reading lady!

  9. kara-karina

I hope you feel better now, Kimba! and what a lovely haul, especially Phoenix Rising – I really enjoyed this book! 🙂

  10. Kim

I was quite thrilled to get my settlement credit from Amazon, too! 🙂 There are few things better than free money for books!

  11. Kristin

I failed miserably on my TBR Challenge so I applaud your strength in not reading Nora Roberts!!! I’m going to need yours and Angela’s ARC challenge come May 😀

Awesome haul this week! I’ve been curious about JT Ellison – I’ve seen the books around, I’ve just never picked them up to see what they’re about. They are popular, tho!

    Hope you’re feeling better!!!!

    • kimbacaffeinate

I got the eBook and audio so I will let you know. For the ARC challenge I will send over my hell hounds since you did so poorly on the TBR challenge. They only behave if you read to them. 🙂

  12. Rita

Sorry you didn’t feel well, but whoa, what a good load of books this week! So glad you are trying JT Ellison. Hope you like it. I really want to read Night Diver (my family, except me, is scuba certified but I know about it from them). Have a great week reading and listening and enjoy your free stash from the settlement. I had such fun picking out free titles 🙂

    • kimbacaffeinate

thanks Ria, I got the audio for Ellison too, so I am excited and Night Diver has me curious 🙂

  13. Michelle

I am excited to join your Read-a-thon, that sounds great and I have quite a few boosk that will be great of it 🙂

**sigh** you always gets such awesome books 🙂

I didn’t get a settlement from Amazon I got one from B&N this week which I plan to go to the store and probably buy something for the kids. I can never buy them enough books.

Hope you have a great week! Enjoy all your new reads

    • kimbacaffeinate

I got one from Amazon and B&N. My Nook HD allows me to have the Kindle App, so I shop both :)Ooo I agree books for the kids is awesome. That is one item I never said no about.

  14. Berls

Ya know, sometimes I use the whispersync feature to get a better deal on audiobooks, but I never use it. Once I start a book in audio, I want to finish it that way. Actually, once I start a series that way – unless I hate the narrator – I want the whole series that way.

And you made me LOL – I’ve had Night Broken by Patricia Briggs sitting on my shelf waiting for me most the month, but I’ve resisted because it didn’t fit EITHER your challenge or mine. I’m so ready for April 🙂

Hope your feeling better and that your mom is doing well now that she’s at home! Have a great week and enjoy your reads!

Here is what happens, I see a book I want on sale, I snagged it and then that little thing pops up and says for X.XX you can get the audio. Then I do it and listen instead. I do notice it is cheaper then out and out just buying the audio in some cases. Two more days and then Night Broken is yours!! I only failed on one and that was Murder of Crows, I listened to the audio right away. I would have gone mad otherwise!

    • kimbacaffeinate

Sweet, we am to help you clean up those arcs. Have a wonderful week!

  15. tonyalee

Aw, I hope you feel better soon!

I was so jealous of all the people that got an amazon and B&N settlement. I didn’t get ANY 🙁 so, no shopping spree for me.

I love the books you got this week! Especially Servants of the Storm, that looks SO GOOD. 🙂

Have a good week and feel better!

    • kimbacaffeinate

Awe, well mine were not huge, but it did feel like my birthday or Christmas. Thanks Tanya!

  16. Catherine

Coffee, chocolate, and another great book haul! What could be better? Night Diver and The Story of Land and Sea look particularly good to me. Thinking about joining in your Clean Sweep challenge…the timing is perfect to make room for some of the new ARCs I’ll be getting from BEA at the end of May…

  18. Camille

I didn’t know you have an eBook.. 🙂 Thank you again for the giveaway opportunity. I’ve only ever listened to two audio books and they’re both Courtney Milan stories and I’m starting to understand its special magic and purpose. LOL. When my eyes sometimes get tired, I just switch stories and listen to an audiobook. I haven’t actually seen any Doctor Who episode yet. I do not know where to start! LOL 🙂

    • kimbacaffeinate

      I am thanks Holly 🙂 I need to stop the one-click 🙂

    • kimbacaffeinate

I am enjoying it, wicked banter, deception, mystery and humor 🙂

  19. Kat Morrisey

I went a bit crazy with the credits I got this week too.And with so many sales going on as well, I think I lost feeling in my hand from one clicking on AMZ and BN. 🙂

I have recently just gotten started using audio books and I love them so hard. I listen while I walk (when it’s not raining/snowing) and don’t want to stop! (I’m reading Frost’s Night Huntress series, book 2, at the moment). I might have to look into getting the Dr. Who one though. Nothing better than a British guy reading to me. lol

Have a great week and happy reading!

    • kimbacaffeinate

Hahaha..Kat so true, and being hope in bed with this windfall was the perfect storm for a spree!

    • kimbacaffeinate

  25. Heidi

Ugh! Sick again, that is a bummer! Hope you are on your feet soon. My husband and I are still getting over our coughs that we have had for a month now. It was nice to get that surprise email with free money to buy some books. I have my eye on a few. I really want to read the Seanan McGuire series!
