Well, I managed to get all my shopping done and my daughter came over to help bake yesterday. The house smells like cookies and coffee. My family room carpet and furniture arrived. We are still waiting on an ottoman and end tables but I am loving my lounge. It is my new favorite reading place. I sit there by the fire and it is a little slice of heaven. I included a few pics at the end of my post for those of you who asked for it πŸ™‚ Β I know a lot of you are traveling this holiday season and no matter how you celebrate ..may you be safe and merry!

I love your new furniture and I’m jealous of your reading spot. I want one like that. We’re not looking at new carpet or furniture for another few years. Between kids, dogs and cats it wouldn’t be worth it just yet. lol

I need to check The Forbidden Library. Looks good.

I loved your new reading area. I don’t particularly read on the living room, but for those quiet nights is perfect. There’s only a dog or cat missing on those pics. Mine are usually all over the books.

It is our family room and until recently my son and his friends took it over with games. We moved all the old furniture down to the finished basement along with his playstation. He is 21 and still living at home so he appreciates the new digs and three kids later we finally reclaimed the family room! We have a turtle, a rabbit and a guinea pig. After our cats passed we never replaced them. OL Merry Christmas πŸ™‚

It is nice Victoria especially today when it is a high of 7, low of -8 and wind chills of -22. Tomorrow is suppose to be even colder! Brrrrrrrr

      • Victoria (aka Zemfirka)

        Yikes! Stay warm.
We’ve had a bit of unusual weather over the weekend – it was in the 60s and snow melted away. Now, we are back to more expected 30F weather and rain. πŸ™

    • kimbacaffeinate

Sweet, I don’t usually read MG but Forbidden Library looks so good!

  20. Tanya

Oooo It looks so cozy! I have my recliner and God forbid anyone moves it. I almost had a fit when hubby and my son took away one of the tables I have next to it to fit the tree in. I made them move everything back so I could have my tables where I needed them to be. One side has a table with my laptop, and the other side is a table where I take notes and set all my reading necessities (snacks).
