I was looking at the e-reader challenge, I’m still undecided. I’m looking forward to your reviews of The Naturals and Parasite.

Yes finally, it was supposed to be part of Things that Go Bump in the Night, now I will be lucky if I manage to post a review before Christmas..LOL

    • kimbacaffeinate

that makes two of us, I have been trying to avoid listening or reading any comments. I may hold off, but then I liked Requiem and a lot of peeps were unhappy with its open ending. Fingers crossed on this trilogy ending 🙂

I wasn’t planning on doing the e-reader clean out challenge, but the ARCs have suddenly piled up. Seriously, I have a calendar planning out the order I need to read everything. I might need to do this to challenge to maintain my sanity.

Actually if they are galleys I think they are allowed. Check rules, but I am pretty sure.

      • Pamela D

They are allowed. When I first read about this read-a-thon, I was more focused on reading books that I had purchased or physical books that I got from the library. This week I got a ton of galleys (e-books that I requested back in the beginning of September that I figured I was rejected for), so this read-a-thon is now a go for me. Last week I read 8 books for the Wonderfully Wicked Read-a-thon, this week I read 1 book. A read-a-thon is the only way I am going to keep up! 🙂

Woot, I love any kind of challenge or read-a-thon, and even I read more (if that is even possible) during them. 🙂

    • kimbacaffeinate

Thanks Naomi, I am looking forward to reading it, hopefully over Thanksgiving Weekend!

    • kimbacaffeinate

I am too, and I decided to hold off a bit on reading it, hopefully after the read-a-thon. Have a good one!

  3. Berls

I got this beautiful thing too (along with way too many others), looks good! I haven’t heard of Life for Rent, but I love the cover & title and am off to look at the description in a second. I’ll look forward to your review.

My plan for tomorrow is to get seriously caught up on blog posts for the past 2 weeks, so you’ll be seeing lots of me 🙂

I have been warned..LOL October has been so busy, with so many comments that all I have time for is to visit the blogs who have visited me 🙁 so I feel ya!

    • kimbacaffeinate

Good for you..i never re-read, except for maybe a few classics. I do pick up favorite books and read passages from them though.

  4. Michelle

*sighs* I”m going to be seeing a lot of Allegiant today…I still haven’t bought it even though I’m dying to read it.
I’ll have to check out the ereader challenge I really need to clear out some of the ebooks I’ve downloaded.

You are among friends when it comes to needing to clean out your Ereader..LOL

    • kimbacaffeinate

I am a tad nervous about Allegiant, although remember everyone hated the ending of Requiem? I actually was ok with the open-ending, so I hope this trilogy ends well for me too.

  5. Vilia

Agh, I want to sign up for the cleaning out your e-Reader challenge but nearly all my ARC reviews can’t be published until December. I’m going to console myself with the Ho-ho-ho Read-a-thon challenge and keep chipping away at my In Uniform challenge.

I generally liked One Lucky Vampire but the plot line that was suddenly abandoned irked me. I’m interested to see what you thought.

    My Sunday Post

    • kimbacaffeinate

Ah, I have tons of books on my Ereader, and I figure even if I knock out two or three of them I am ahead of the game. Well not really. Who am I kidding for every 5 books I read, I add 10 more..LOL

    • kimbacaffeinate

*tackles you a huge hug* I really loved Taking on the Dead, and am anxious to being Controlling. Hope you have a wonderful week!

    • kimbacaffeinate

Ssh we never ever talk about the size of our tbr piles, personally I will never count the number of unread books I have waiting for me. The only ones I track are those I have scheduled to review..otherwise I just happily keep shopping.

  6. Vicky Hooper

Hello! Hope you’re well and have had a good October. Been such a busy one for me, haven’t had a chance to visit other blogs in a while. Nice to get back into it again, and to have a little more time for reading too. 🙂 Looks like you got some great books this week – hope you enjoy them! Have a lovely week.

    • kimbacaffeinate

Yes, I think she will be happy with the NYT best seller list this week…LOL

    • kimbacaffeinate

*tackles as hugs you* So good to see you Vicky. I am excited and nervous about Allegiant, and I hope you read Insurgent soon. Hope life is treating you well 🙂

    • kimbacaffeinate

Ooo I hope you loved Parasite as much as I did. Have a wonderful week Sandy! 🙂

  7. Jan

The 2014 TBR challenge looks interesting. I have so many books I buy and then never get to them that it would be a good idea for me to concentrate on some of those each month! Thanks for posting the link.

I hope you have a great week.

Yeah, even if I only do one or two from my tbr pile I feel good, of course I add 4 or 5 more. hehehe. I will probably host March Take Control of Your TBR pile again in 2014 as well.

    • kimbacaffeinate

I hear you, I am not great about it either, but even if I get a few done that is progress 🙂 course then I add more books but we don’t need to discuss that..LOL

    • kimbacaffeinate

Thanks Catherine, this was a small haul and that is fine by me..LOL

    • kimbacaffeinate

Ooo well I am a huge fangirl of Mira Grant, and cannot wait to share her new book..look for it on Tuesday 🙂

    • kimbacaffeinate

I am sticking with tbr challenge in 2014, I manage to attack those, the others I fail at.

  8. Cyn

I’m about half way through the Naturals and I’m enjoying it, can’t wait to see your thoughts! Awesome haul! I need to grab Allegiant soon, but I’m little scared by the mixed reviews haha. And yay, Just Like Heaven! I adore that book so much haha. Happy readings!

    • kimbacaffeinate

I was glad to snag it for 1.99, and look forward to reading it. My review of the Naturals posts Monday 🙂

    • kimbacaffeinate

I tried to comment on your Sunday Post, but it doesn’t allow me and for some reason it is showing two Sunday Posts. I love that you can get free digital copies from the library and hope you enjoy Alice in Zombieland, I need to grab book two.

      • Michaela

Thanks for letting me know, I know about the two post. I still haven’t figured out how to get it to let me fix that. The not being able to comment thing is new though so I will look into it and by that I mean make my tech savvy hubby try and fix it lol.

      • Michaela

see what had happened was… lol.. I’ve been watching puppies all week and not doing much sleeping. In my morning posting fog, I somehow turned off the commenting for that post. 7 more week till the puppies go home, hopefully my brain will just get used to not sleeping. As for the double posting thing, I have yet to figure out how to fix that. i’m gonna put my hubby on that one tongiht :). Thanks for the heads up!!!

  9. Grace Fonseca

Nice haul of books. There is also Net Galley November going on. I think sign ups end on October 31st, but is a good way to clean up your NG or EW titles. I don’t remember who’s hosting but might once I look it up on my email. Oh the Annie Walls book looks interesting. Me love zombie books. I got Allegiant as well.

    • kimbacaffeinate

I love zombie books too Grace, and book one Taking on the Dead made my top 10 adult reads last year. Thanks for mentioning the NG challenge.

  10. Jenea

Yay, for Allegiant. I have avoided all the comments about it, I love the first two , so I have have hope that it is just as amazing. Enjoy your Sunday and your new books.

Glad you are enjoying it, this is a fun event and this last week should be fun as well.

    • kimbacaffeinate

I know right, I am avoiding all reviews and will probably read it in November. 🙂

  12. Candace

Thanks for the link love and mentioning my discussion post!

I almost bought Allegiant this week but decided I’d wait a bit since I can’t really read it right now. I’m so afraid of it I’d probably put it off forever anyway.
Looks like an awesome week planned!

Let’s try this again.Brittany and I are participating in Netgalley November in an attempt to ease our EBook TBR lists 🙂 Hopefully we make a big dent! Is it bad that as soon as I read the title Life For Rent I started singing the Dido song? ” if my life is for rent, and I don’t want to buy…” And… now it’s stuck there lol… Good thing I like that song! I have allegiant too! I’m a bit worried! But I will push forward! .. After I read Insurgent that is.. i’m a bit behind

    What a sweet haul!
I too bought Allegiant mostly for my daughter. The whole trilogy is on my reading list for my vacation and I hope to get through it. We have a rule in my house ‘if there is a movie you want to see that is based on a book, you have to have read the book first’. My daughter is using this rule against me since I haven’t read Divergent yet. 🙂

    • kimbacaffeinate

A most excellent rule..and I am delighted your daughter is holding you accountable..hehehe.

  15. Ellen

You got some really great books. Allegiant – I’ll be really interested in what you think. I’ve read it. I think it is going to fall in the love it or hate it category with most people, though there may be a few people in the middle. I was very disappointed, but I can also see and understand the different points of view people are having who both love it and hate it, and both are valid I think. Definitely stay off Amazon or it will be spoiled for you – happened to me. I do hope you enjoy it. Life for Rent looks really good also.

    • kimbacaffeinate

I am avoiding reviews and I am so curious to see where I fall. Do you remember how everyone hated the ending of Requiem? I was one of the few who didn’t mind the we shall see.

  16. Tonyalee

ahh Allegiant– Curious to see what you think of this one. 😛

I should sign up for that ebook challenge, I will check it out 🙂

    Have a good week!
