Sunday Post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

I hope you all had a wonderful week. I finished my Christmas shopping this weekend and this week I will ship gifts to out of state loved ones. Then let the baking begin! I have been ready tons of Christmas novels and novellas. They always get me into the holiday mood. What do you do to get into the holiday spirit?  Have a great week everyone!

Last week on the blog I brought you:

This week on the blog look for:

  • Coffee Pot Reviews:Four Christmas Novellas for Under a Buck
  • His Mistress by Christmas by Victoria Alexander (review/giveaway)
  • Invisible by Carla Buckley (review)
  • Waiting on Wednesday
  • Magnificently Magic Read-a-thon
  • The Dirty Secrets of Markham Savoy by CC Dalton (review/giveaway)
  • End of the World Book Hop (giveaway)
  • Holiday Jinx by Abbey MacInnis (review/giveaway)
  • Deck the Halls with Heven and Hell (book showcase/giveaway/guest post)
  • His Christmas Pleasure by Cathy Maxwell (review)
Around the Blogosphere:

Faye @ A DayDreamer’s Thoughts has made it to the second round of Mira Ink’s BlogINK competition. If you’re unaware of this competition  it is basically a once-in-a-lifetime chance to win a paid blogging job for the publisher Mira (Harlequin), and only 10 bloggers made it to the second round. For round two she had to make a 60 second video to convince Mira to choose her! And then she has one week to do a social media campaign to spread her video far and wide. Here is where you can help, go watch her video, like it, and share it to help her cause. Watch and share.

  14. Melissa's Midnight Musings

I’m also finished with my Christmas shopping. I managed to send out all my out of country packages last week, which is good. I want to wish you good luck at the post office though. If it’s anything like my trip was there’ll be a long line!

thanks Jennifer, and I forget books all the time, I am getting better I now start my Sunday Post for next week on Sundays and add book haul books as they come in.

  16. Melissa

I’m all about Christmas novels and novellas right now too and I’ve been loving your reviews and discovering new books to add to my TBR!

  17. kimbacaffeinate

Enter those crazy facebook author giveaways, this is the third one I’ve won this year, and really I am not that diligent about entering.

  18. Fictitious Musings

WOW you had a really busy week Kimba. The candle prize pack looks amazing. Cute basket. Meant to Be and Bad Hair Day look like great reads. Looking forward to your reviews.

  19. kimbacaffeinate

They are some kind of a pumpkin spice and even through the wrappings they have made my bedroom smell heavenly! I beat my GR challenge of 200 books and am at 232 now. I made my goal of 150 ebooks and stopped counting them after I did so in October. I might not make my tbr pile challenge goal of 2012, as my small addition to holiday themed books this month has gotten a little out of control!

  20. Audrey D Wilkerson

Sounds like you have a full plate, what with all the Christmas reads and book hauls and cookie baking! I am valiantly trying to read everything thing I have before the end of the year so I can start the new year fresh…we’ll see how that goes! Oh and the candles…no nibbling, no matter how good they smell, OK?

  21. kimbacaffeinate

Thanks Heather, I may need a serious holiday themed intervention. I am doubling posting to keep up with everything i am reading,,LOL

  22. Book Savvy Babe

Yeah I know, and I will not read books out of order like that one. Thankfully I am not obligated to read them all. I may grab book one and give them to my daughter to read.

  28. Cayce

Nice haul! Under the Bridge sounds good, and I love the cover of Bad Hair Day. But it’s book #2, and I haven’t read Bad Taste in Boys….My new goal is to not start any new series till next year….
Congrats on winning the candles! 🙂

I decorate the house & put up Christmas decorations as well as play Christmas music non-stop starting the day after Thanksgiving – to get in the Christmas spirit 🙂 I’m usually not big into Christmas themed books, but I’m giving it a try this year. I’m excited to check out some of your upcoming reviews to see if there’s something that catches my eye.

I already commented but it didn’t go through. Don’t you just hate that? It is just never the same the second time around. : ) Here we go… You have managed to find some great holiday reads. I love them but have not read as many of them this year. Time’s a ticking, so I better get to it if I am to gain any Christmas spirit from them.
The Mira competition is awesome! What a dream to even make it that far, but to be chosen! Go Faye!
    Thanks for hosting!
