I love a good procedural crime novel with fleshed out characters and diabolical killers and Tess Gerritsen delivers with her Rizzoli & Isles series featuring Boston Detective Jane Rizzoli and Maura Isles the Chief Medical Examiner. Die Again the eleventh book in the series drew me in and had me guessing from the first page. It is so good to have Tess back!
Rizzoli & Isles
To spice things up on Wednesdays between “Waiting On” posts and reviews, I am going to share ”Recipe and a Book Recommendation.” Today I am sharing Banana Nut Bread and Die Again by Tess Gerritsen. She is one of my favorite crime, suspense thriller writers and I cannot wait to devour her latest Rizzoli and Isles book. They work as standalone and I hope you will check it out. Enjoy!
Last to Die was pre-ordered for my Nook months ago. I adore this series and was a fan long before TNT made the hit tv series Rizzoli & Isles. While I enjoy the show and being able to share Jane and Maura with my hubby, it cannot hold a candle to the awesomeness that the novels deliver. Each of them can easily be read as a standalone. I read this over two evening and found it to be captivating and suspenseful.
First, I have to tell you that I am a huge fan of Tess Gerristen and that I have read all of her work. I think that she is one of the best mystery suspense thriller authors of this decade.
