From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Cathryn Fox comes the first in the hot new Blue Bay Crew series that follows the sexy, blue collar Owens men who take over their family’s construction business in the small town of Blue Bay, CT.

Summer Wheeler is on the run. Hiding from the men who killed her father, Summer is on her way to her childhood cottage in Blue Bay when she runs into Sean Owens, the forbidden bad boy from her past. After giving him a fake name, she gives in to one steamy night with him, never expecting to see him again.

Sean isn’t sure why Summer is pretending to be someone she’s not, but he’ll play her game if that means he can indulge in one of his oldest fantasies – a night with Summer. He’s shocked to see her when he returns to Blue Bay, and even more surprised when Summer offers him a job renovating her old family cottage. Hot workdays turn into hotter nights, but when Summer’s secret catches up with her, she’ll have to decide if she can trust Sean with her heart—and her life.

Brothers hot Sweet Small-town

DEMOLISHED is exactly what I did to this sexy, sweet small-town romance that kicks off the Blue Bay Crew series by Cathryn Fox. I read about 12% late Friday evening and woefully neglected my chores to devour it Saturday morning. Hot and heartwarming with a touch of suspense, I am already loving this series and cannot wait for each of the brothers’ stories.

Summer Wheeler recently lost her Dad when he died in a motorcycle accident, but not before he gave her package with instructions on what to do if something happened to him. When, her boyfriend of six months, a Navy Officer who worked with her Dad begins asking about a book her Dad owned she senses danger and puts the contents of her Dad’s package to use. She heads to their summer cottage. One neither has visited since her Mom’s death.  While driving to Blue Bay, she stops at a greasy truck stop for food and her childhood crush, Sean Owen, is there. She pretends she doesn’t recognize him and uses a fake name. The two end up having a hot and sexy one night stand. Now, Owen recognized Summer right away, but if she wants to play strangers he is more than willing. Little do they know, they are both headed to Blue Bay. Yep, this is gonna be good.

The story that unfolds is hot, sexy and humorous. Summer isn’t fooling anyone yet she still refuses to admit she is Summer. Owen’s own father has recently passed and he is back to take care of the families’ construction business.  The old cottage is in a sad state of neglect, and when Summer needs a handyman, folks refer her to the Blue Bay Crew and before you know it Owen is spending time working on the cottage.

Fox did a great job of introducing family members, local folks and giving us background on some of the local dirt and tiffs. The Owen boys are a handful and I absolutely loved the way their Gram wrangles them in and keeps them in line. Owen is having a hard time dealing with guilt and the loss of his Dad. Of course, I swooned for this sexy lug. I was in puddles when he brought Summer coffee. (quickest way to my heart) The summer progresses and we see an emotional connection develop between Sean and Summer that went beyond the sizzling chemistry.

The romance is hot with plenty of detailed scenes to over heat your Kindle, but it was balanced with growth, assorted threads, and the suspense about the missing book. The drama was kept low, in part because Owen knew something was up but was respectful enough to wait Summer out.

The suspense thread was clearly in the background, but it did bring about a climactic scene, confessions, and heart-melting moments. While you might have to swallow the little blue pill to believe it all, I had a complete blast with DEMOLISHED and cannot wait to revisit this town by the sea.

“she runs into Sean Owens, the forbidden bad boy from her past” — “forbidden bad boy,” always a cue for a high heat level (LOL!). Thanks for the post.

It can be funny when a character things they are so slick, but didn’t really fool anyone. Sounds like a good one.
