Sunday Post

Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted here @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead. See rules here: Sunday Post Meme

Last week I accidently numbered the Sunday Post 230 instead of 260. Thank you to those who emailed me. It has been corrected. Once again I am unplugged. I ended up getting sick with a sinus infection and aside from taking care of the Royals and client work I did nothing as my head feels like it will explode. We have family in and out all weekend and are hosting Easter Dinner. We decided to grill so at least I won’t be spending the day in the kitchen.  Our anniversary was delightful and it was nice to focus just on us. So this weekend is all about family and kicking this infection’s arse. LOL, I hope you have a delightful week at that you’re enjoying the wonderful spring weather. Stay Caffeinated!

We are trying Mister Linky as I refuse to pay inlinkz 2.99 a month. inlinkz went from 19.99 a year to monthly billing only which comes out to be almost 35 a year! Ridiculous. Your Feedback is appreciated.

Happy Easter! And hi to Mr. Linky. Ha ha yeah 2.99 a month? SMH. Anyway hope you feel better and yay for grilling. Have a great Easter Sunday.

    Love that dragon quote!

Sorry you’re not feeling well, Kim, I hope that will change very quickly and that you’ll be back to your energetic, great-feeling self!
I must have been able to renew my inLinkz just before they changed, because mine is valid until February next year. Its kind of nice for me that you will test different link up tools before I have to choose one :p
Mister Linky is OK, even if I managed to get my phone to autocorrect my blog name, and there is no way to edit my link…
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading 🙂

Happy Easter! I hope you start feeling better soon! The new linky works great, it’s sort of ridiculous that a linking service wants that much money for something so freaking simple.

Happy Easter! I’m sorry that you’ve been ill with an infection, I hope you’re better soon.
I totally get why you wouldn’t want to pay extra for the link service you’ve been using, and the new sign up is absolutely fine.
I’ve been tempted to sign up to Caffeinated Clean Sweep but often when I sign up to a challenge either my brain decides it would rather not do what I planned, or my health takes a nosedive and I end up unable to take part. I might leave it until a bit later in this month to decide. It’s such a great idea though and I do have lots of ARCs that I need to read.
Hope you enjoy your books, and your Easter weekend.

Happy Easter!! Here in PR we do the celebrations Friday mostly but we still get together today 🙂 This is my first Easter without my family seeing as I’m with my BF so it’s bittersweet. I hope you all have fun and hopefully the infection leaves quickly.
And wow they have a monthly fee now?! That freaking sucks! Anyway, have a lovely day and week!

I hope you have a great Easter weekend with the dinner and having your family around. Mister Linky seems to work fine and looks like a good alternative. That does sound ridiculous the previous one about doubled it’s price. Thanks for listing Chasing Christmas Eve, I am really curious about that one as I enjoyed the previous books in that series, will have to see if I can get a review copy. Have a great week!

So sorry to hear of the sinus infection – they are utterly miserable:(. Have a Happy Easter and hope the family gathering goes well and glad to hear the quiet anniversay celebration was a good one. I hope you manage to get on top of the infection soon – Royals are a delight, but when they are so small, it can be gruelling… I remember! Mister Linky looks just fine –

Hope you feel better and can enjoy your company today. Glad you had a nice anniversary! This linky is fine!! I don’t blame you for switching. Enjoy your new books and have a great week!

Happy Easter! Sorry you are sick! Hopefully this week you are back to 100%. I can’t believe that price jump. I always loved the visual-ness of inlinkz but I didn’t realize it was a paid service! Thats crazy!

Kim, I’m happy to hear that your anniversary went so well. But BOO to being sick again. I hope you can kick the illness to the curb. I hope you have a good time with your family and definitely take a looong rest after they are gone with a yummy book.
You got a few of the Avon titles that I received as well. I absolutely can’t wait for you to read The Girl with the Make Believe Husband. I adored every word of that series!
Happy reading and take care! <3

I need to try this Mister Linky if it’s free as I have Inlinkz for all my link up, it is not as pretty but it works. 🙂 Have a great Easter, we are getting wet here for Easter as always, the poor kids at church will have to hunt eggs inside which is just not as fun. 🙁

    Have a great week!

Happy Easter! I’m all for free services. I mean I don’t even mind paying a little, but I do feel like companies take advantage sometimes. I’m personally totally fine with Mister Linky. 🙂 Have a great week!

Kick that infection’s arse!! 😀 Happy Anniversary!! Yay for grilling! Ever since April, Josh and the kids have moved in she cooks on the weekend, so I’m happy. 😀 That is outrageous for the links. Mister Linky isn’t as visual, I liked seeing everyone’s pics, but whatever works for you (again, that price is ridiculous) then I’m fine with it. I hope you kick that infection to the curb and have a fantastic week, Kim!

I’m sorry you’ve been sick, and hope you get over that sinus infection soon! They are no fun. Mr. Linky seems to work fine. I may switch to it at some point, but I’m stuck with InLinkz until the end of this year’s The Backlist Reader Challenge. I see you’ve got some of the same books I’m looking forward to: The Girl with the Make-Believe Husband and Chasing Christmas Eve. Have fun, and happy anniversary again!

I use InLinkz too, and I’ve been frustrated with the price hike. I might have to go with Mr. Linky as well. I’ll have to check to see if they have an option for year-long link-ups. That’s the reason I went with InLinkz in the first place–for the Book Blog Discussion Challenge, I like to keep the link-up up all year so people can continue to sign up.

Happy Easter, Kim! So sorry about your sinuses at all the wrong times. I have had another tough week as well, but I have managed to blog twice (yesss for drafting posts!), so at least I’ve got that going for me. I hope you get better soon!
As for spring weather, BTW – we woke up to snow this morning! Like, a load of it, I mean, kids BUILDING SNOWMEN kind of load of it. Mom’s morning message was “Merry Christmas” instead of “Happy Easter”. That was quite funny.

Ooh, you’ve got the Collapsing Empire! I’ll be very curious about that review.

I hope you are on the mend! It must be spreading like wild fire. I have been down for 7 days now.. although a call to doc says it has probably been flu. I am following up this week. I hope you are finding time to enjoy Easter <3 Take care my friend!

  19. Jan

So sorry you have a sinus infection, Kimba. I hope you get better very soon. And that you can do some fun reading.

    Happy Easter!

  20. vvb

Hope you are feeling better. Brrr, it’s a cold and rainy Easter. Cozy for some reading time. Have a good week.

  21. Kristin

Happy Easter!! Take it easy today, Nonna!! Hey, toss in a nap, too 🙂

I got the 2 romances you did, too. And that’s very cool you’re reading Scalzi – the man has an awesome blog and he’s wicked funny on Twitter. I’ve been following him for years. “Old Man Wars” was a good book.

I think Master Linky is enough!! You shouldn’t pay extra money for just a pretty picture. It was kind of a pain in the butt to always attach the correct image correctly, anyways. I prefer keeping it simple, silly 😛

  22. Melissa (My World...in words and pages)

Oh I hope you feel better! Happy Easter. 🙂 And this linky is easy as pie! 😀

  23. Laura Fabiani

I hope you feel better soon. Getting sick when expecting guests is not fun. Mr. Linky is a good alternative.. I’m trying to be unplugged too this weekend to take a break.

When I took up hosting the Library Challenge I had to find a linky tool. I looked at inlinkz, but since I don’t host anything else the price was just to much. I found MisterLinky and have been pleased with the service. I purchased the silver membership which at the time was $5 for one year. Since I don’t host anything but the Library Love Challenge that price works great for me. I hope MisterLinky works out for you.

Hope you feel better, I’ve been battling a head cold for over three weeks now. Did the medication, but just can kick it. It’s not as bad, but still hanging in their. I don’t know what it is with this year, but the flu feels like it’s worse then before. The last two weeks I’ve not felt like reading or doing anything. I had energy in the morning and then non hits and I just have to go to sleep. At least that part is over and now I can do house hold chores and read/review without feeling awful.

Have a Happy Easter, a Fabulous week, and Happy Reading!

P.S. White Hot is AWSOME ^_^

  26. Amanda K Thompson

I love that ‘Do Not Meddle in the Affairs of Dragons’ quote! It’s always been one of my favorites. So sassy; reminds me of Wrede’s Enchanted Forest Chronicles. XD
Haha, I also laugh now every time I hear ‘arse’; my family discovered the show Republic of Doyle just last year, I think, and apparently adopted ‘arse’ as an acceptable, non-swear exclamatory. We did the same with ‘ell a while back. I guess if you say it with an accent, it’s not swearing? XD
Glad to hear you had a nice anniversary. FIGHT THAT SINUS INFECTION!!!
