This weekend was the 24-hour Take Control Readathon which means I am sleeping in!  This afternoon I am taking my daughters and Princess Sophia to see Beauty and the Beast. This week was a good one. Mother Nature is still crazy, but today we will see temps in the low eighties.  I bought a pair of Bose QuietComfort 35 Acoustic Noise Cancelling Wireless earphones. Best decision ever. I tried wireless earbuds, but the sound quality and fit made listening for long periods uncomfortable. Don’t even get me started on corded ones, as more than once I almost killed myself snagging them on something! LOL . I hope you have a wonderful week and discover your next five-star read/listen. I am so ready to Beauty and the Beast!! I kind of want to convince my boyfriend to go today, but I’ll probably hold off until Wednesday so we can avoid all the teens at the mall 😛
I hope you and the princess enjoy it!

I hope you all enjoy Beauty and the Beast! We got to see it today, and enjoyed it. I sometimes wish I had noise cancelling headphones. LOL This past week was a good reading week for me. I finished one and am in the middle of another–both good ones.

I hope you have a great week, Kim. Enjoy sleeping in!

Ahhh!!!!!!!!!!! Beauty and the Beast! I want to watch that so badly! I am supposed to have a girl’s day out to watch it with some friends and I hope that eventuates.

I’m so glad the headphones are awesome! Headphones are the way forward, even if they are a little more clunky and don’t look as cool – the quality and fit is definitely worth it!

Hope you have a lovely week and ENJOY that movie!

Had to laugh about the cords because yeah, I might have nearly hung myself a few times and I’ve definitely had my phone go flying when I ‘hook’ something with my cord (wish my fishing was half as successful).

And woohoo, I actually finished my readathon book for the first time. 🙂

Have fun at the movies. That one’s on my list to see as well.

I missed the RAT. Just couldn’t squeeze it in with just getting back from vacation. I hope it went well! I’m looking forward to B&B and was originally planning on taking the kids but have heard that there might be questionable content and so I’ll be viewing it first. I’m hoping the rumors are false and we both enjoy it! Have a great week!

Taking the kids to see Beauty and the Beast is a great idea. Sadly I don’t get out to the movies much. It as been at least 3 years for me. I bet Emma Watson does a great job in that role. I think the world kinda sees her like Belle anyways.
I am so with you on getting new headphones. I bought myself a new bluetooth speaker for car with no radio. It has been lifesaving. I recently bought new headphones, but then I stepped on them and so now only one side works. I hated corded ones too. I nearly killed myself on them so many times. Lol! I might just look into getting some bose headphones myself. Have a great day sleeping in!

Ah… Beauty and the Beast! Yes, I’d love to go and see that, given the Disney version always made me cry at the end when the prince was transformed and Belle was definitely my FAVOURITE Disney heroine. However Himself remains underwhelmed… hoping to be able to take the grandchildren, though I suspect they’ve already been. Have a wonderful time – I wish I was going with you! Glad the weather is being a tad more reasonable, Kimber. Have a great reading week:).

  11. Hayley

I hope you enjoy Beauty and the Beast, it sounds like it’ll be a fun trip out. The weather in the part of the UK where I live has been awful the past couple of days, and it seems to be getting worse. I’m hoping it will pass over soon. Weirdly, prior to this storm it felt like spring had arrived as it was so sunny and bright. Hope you have a lovely, book-filled week ahead! 🙂

I’m very reluctant about going to see the new Beauty and the Beast because I love the 1991 version so much. I’m tired of live action versions already but that’s probably because animated Disney films were such a big part of my childhood. I hope you all enjoy it though!

I hope you love Beauty and the Beast! I’m so excited to see it, but I think we will have to wait until we can find a babysitter because I’m worried the beast will scare my daughter (she’s four). We watched the cartoon and got a little scared at the end, so I’m not sure. Better safe than sorry, I guess.

Hope you have a great week, and happy reading!

I hope you got a lo read during the readathon and I hope Beauty and the Beast is fun! I am curious to hear what you think of it. We had some beautiful spring weather this week and now it’s weekend and we have rain, winds and colder temperatures, it’s weird. I strongly dislike earbuds, if I ever need them I probably go with earphones or a headset too. Have a great week!

Love the Beauty and the Beast poster, and I hope you have fun! I want to see it but won’t have time for a couple of weeks, darn it. Sorry I missed the read-a-thon. Too much work hanging over my head… Have a great week!

I’m not a fan of over the ear headphones. I prefer earbuds. I did get a pair of wireless earbuds recently. I really like them, but the batteries don’t last very long. I burned through the entire battery in less than a day at work. So I keep an extra set of corded earbuds on my desk at work to use while I’m recharging my cordless ones. I’m in seasonable 40 degree weather right now. Looks like we will be moving to 50s and 60s next week. Have a great week.

I’ve been hearing everyone who’s seen Beauty and the Beast that they really are enjoying it. Hope you all have a great time. 🙂 We’ll probably watch it when it comes out on tv.

    Take care!

Have a great time with Beauty and the Beast. I will watch it when it comes out on DVD. Happy reading and have a great Sunday.

Those headphones sounds awesome! I struggle with the whole headphone situation too. My standard regular earbuds that came with my iPhone are decent but the whole wired thing is tricky at the best of times but impossible at the gym. I found some wireless ones that I can size and they’re okay – as in they stay in my super tiny ears without making me want to cry – but they’re not great for long term listening. I’ll have to look into the Bose headphones. I hope you enjoy the movie and have a great week!

I hope you enjoy Beauty and the Beast. I will be venturing out next Saturday with my daughter and friends to finally watch the film 🙂 I am pretty excited about and the cast! Weather here seems to have finally returned to reality with nothing but cool, grey, rainy days haha. Have a wonderful week!

I’m in desperate need of Noise Cancelling Wireless earphones. Now that I’m at home all day with two (three when my oldest isn’t in school) I sometimes just want to ignore all the…noise. there is so much noise. so.much. My husband and I went and saw B&TB yesterday. It was sooo good. I loved it. Have a good week!

Watched Beauty and the Beast this morning. I adored it! Beauty and the Beast came out when I was a child. It was truly like watching my childhood take a breath and come to life. Teared up bunches and it didn’t always have to do with the movie. 😉

Hope your read-a-thon was a complete success!

We saw Beauty and the Beast yesterday and loved it. We saw it on an IMAX screen. The cinematography is stunning! Hope you and the kids enjoy it.

  24. Lorna

I saw the Beauty and the Beast animated on tv when I was in Ky for Christmas. Sat all by myself and watched the whole thing. Loved it all over again. I can’t wait to see the new one, but I rarely get to the movies. Hopefully I can catch it on a movie channel or Netflix later on. Hope you love it! I usually have a real problem putting anything in my ears. I tried headphones and wasn’t happy-but of course they were just a cheap pair. The earbuds I got with my IPhone fit a lot better now and don’t seem to bother me that much. But the Bose headphones sound awesome 🙂 Hope you continue to love them!

  25. Tanya

I saw your pic of those headphones! I still haven’t gotten so that I listen when I’m doing stuff around the house. By the time I realize I could have been, I’m done what I was doing. I spent all morning crafting and then realized I could have been listening to my book the whole time! I hope you enjoy the movie with the Royals! Have a great week!

I am so happy you had an excellent week! I have been thinking about getting wireless headphones, too. I can’t wear earbuds at all because they bother me too much. I will be having a look at the ones you bought. We are still cold here and we got three feet of snow, so spring is not really starting for us tomorrow. Ha! Have a wonderful week. 🙂

Oh yeah, the corded earbuds have nearly ripped my ears off numerous times. It almost makes multitasking impossible for fear I’ll snag them on something. Lol, glad I’m in good company. Have a great week, Kimba!

  28. Bookworm Brandee

I hope you enjoyed sleeping in as well as seeing Beauty and the Beast. Hopefully I can take my younger daughter to see it next week when she’s on spring break. Mother Nature certainly is crazy this year…went snowshoeing last Friday and had to take our snowshoes off near the top because there was no snow!! I’ll have to check into your headphones…I’m constant catching my earbud cord on stuff and ripping them out of my ears! 😉

Thanks for featuring my Discussion Post, Kimba! ^_^

I know what you mean about finding a good pair of headphones. I’m pretty cheap, so I’ve been using cheap earbuds for years, but I just splurged and got myself a decent-ish set of headphones. Heaven! I don’t even want to take them off!

What a great splurge on yourself!! I think I want some, too! I am the say way with corded headphones, and even my phone charger cord or a USB power cord I plug into my laptop to charge my Kindle. I hope you enjoy your Bose earphones!!
