We had frost on the ground this week and all of the leaves have begun to change. It was a good week, I was busy, the air turned cooler and there was reading. I have a new batch of ARCs available so be sure and check out my Caffeinated Blogger Opportunities below. I listened to Magic Binds and need to come back down from my audio high. It is hard to believe the HoHoHoRAT will be here in a few weeks. I hope you can join us. Stay warm and caffeinated!

They’ve been turning here too and it’s getting cooler at night, although we’ve still had a few warm days here and there. But it definitely feels like fall now. and up north the leaves are really turning- we should catch up in a week or two.

Ha. That quote- so true. We need more Saturdays. 🙂

Oh, thanks for sharing my ‘next steps’ post (from my recent blogging conference). I really do need to do something about them!

It’s getting warmer here too but we’ve had some big winds and rainy weather so far so it hasn’t been too warm. I’m kinda hoping we remain more winter-like than summer-like for the rest of our Spring and really only have to deal with the hot weather from December onwards!

My eyes landed on the Bohjalian book, The Sleepwalker, and I am definitely going to check it out. I see that it doesn’t release until January, but maybe I can find an ARC. I loved his book The Guest Room.

We are starting to get cooler weather too. Now if we could just get rain. I seem to be on an audio book tear, which is unusual for me. I maybe listen to four a year and here I am on my fourth one in a month and a half’s time. I am sad Saturday is over. I wish we had more of them!

I hope you have a wonderful week, Kim.

That is awesome I love audios.. So far I am sitting around 55 audiobooks for the year. I almost alway have one on my player and listen when doing mundane chores or late night.

We haven’t had frost on the ground yet, but the leaves are slowly changing colors, soon, nature will give us the symphony finale before winter arrives. I love fall – it’s beautiful, crisp and still nice enough to go on long walks with Freddy 🙂
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading, Kim!

I’m somewhere between hating the weather and enjoying it. I love it as long as the sun is out in full force and provides just enough heat to make the breeze enjoyable. But it’s been back and forth here, one day it’s mid 60’s and the next low 80’s.

We had some frost here too.. I can’t help but be excited about it! 😀
Thanks for mentioning my discussion post! I really could use some visitors for that one.
Have a great week and happy reading!

I love the change of seasons! We don’t necessarily get them in AZ – just mostly warm/hot and warm/cool. I can’t complain though because from late October to April we have beautiful weather with a few less hot months before and after and then the very hot four months of summer.

Anyway, I hope you have a fabulous week!

It’s supposed to go to 79 today and 83 tomorrow, but the sun isn’t out and there is fog. My grandson is due around Thanksgiving, So for us it will go fast my daughter however feels like time is standing

  9. Lark

Ooh, you’ve got the next Jill Shalvis! I’m so glad to see cooler weather — though our area is in for a heat wave this week; it’s going back into the 80s. But the early fall is going so fast — how can it be mid-October already?! I’m not even ready for Halloween! Have a lovely week, and I hope you enjoy your new books!

The temps have definitely dropped here as well. I was in the dollar store the other day and they’ve already got Christmas stuff out. The year is moving way to fast for me.

  11. RO

Being able to say you had a good week sounds totally fab to me, Kim! (lol) Yay on the Lori Foster and Jill Shalvis books. Two great writers. Hope your day is super special! Hugs…RO

The leaves are beautiful here. I was worried they would be blown off by the rain and wind, but not yet. 🙂 Hope you enjoy the cooler weather and snuggle with a warm blanket! 🙂

  13. Lola

We haven’t had frost yet as far as I know, but the weather has been cooler and the leaves are starting to turn nice shades or red orange and yellow.
I also got Accidentally on Purpose this week :). Have a great week!

Oh wow on the frost! Sounds like you’re definitely full into fall now. We had temps in the low 80s and high 70s and I’ve been thrilled! So sick of shorts and I like being able to wear jeans and not feel like I’m going to burst into flames. You got the Shalvis book! I’m so behind in her books and really need to catch up . I always find her books so much fun! Have a great week!

I love your phrase ‘sunburnt leaves’ Kimberley and this autumn – unusually – it would apply to we Brits as we’re enjoying the most fabulously sunny, mild autumn I can ever recall… Hope you enjoy your wonderful cache of arcs and have a great week.

  16. Danielle Nolan

I cannot believe you have had frost already! We have plenty of rain, and the temps have certainly dropped, but my goodness. By the way, I was finally able to link up today so let me know if I should change anything 😉

  17. Mandy

Sounds like you had a great week even if it was cooler. We’ve hot warm 80’s days and then it’s been dumping rain. I love busy weeks. It’s so much nicer to get lots done.
I still need to give audio books a try and one of these days you’ll convince me.
I hope you have a great week and enjoy your new books.

Frost already? We haven’t seen any here, and we still have days in the 90s. It makes outfit planning a pain in the butt. I can’t decide if I want to join HOHOHO RAT or not. I know I am not going to have very much time.

  19. A Voracious Reader

We’ve been much much cooler this past week, but no frost. I’ve done so little reading that I can’t even stand it. I keep asking myself why I took on all this work and then I remember I’m getting paid for it. So, yeah. LOL I hope you have a fantastic week, Kim!

WOW frost… Goodness I hardly remember what it’s like to actually feel the change in weather. Here in CA it’s warm year round but fall it’s more 60’s then 70-80 then we don’t get much fall colors either and no frost/snow unless you live near the mountains. We have been having rain this weekend and boy it’s a surprise since we hardly get any of that too.
    Have a great week!

I got teased by fall, but then it pulled back for a bit of summer temps and storming. Maybe next week. 😉

Wow, yeah, time is just flying. I can’t believe its almost time for HoHoHoRAT. All signed up and have a stack ready.

Oh, very nice books in that haul. Fun to see a mix of wins and reviews.

One of these days I want to try a Susannah book from either of her series, but I need to start from the book ones.

LOL Your weather turned cooler and we had a little warmup. 😉 There’s snow in the forecast for this week though. Your audio high made me smile! Since I have company, I won’t get to listen as much this week. But Ilona is on my list to get caught up on soon. I hope you have a great week, Kim, with lots of good reads! 😀

Very much looking forward to your review of The Reader – I’m so interested to see how that translated in audio. For me I really enjoyed all the fun parts of reading the book I could physically see and the marginalia but I’m not sure how much that added or subtracted from the story itself.

Hope you enjoy the cooler weather – we’re headed into summer here in the southern hemisphere and boy, could I tell today!

    Have a lovely week.

I LOVE Autumn. We have had lots of leaves on the ground lately. The days are also getting a lot colder, and I know up north that have had snow…..I just wish it was closer to home.

You have some new to me books this week so I’ll have to check them out 🙂

Oh, not fun. I have reading glasses or as I like to refer to them “sexy librarian” glasses. It seems that when I turned 50 a switch flipped and now I need them for reading everything!
