Logan from Echoes of Scotland Street is back with his own smoldering story, as the New York Times bestselling On Dublin Street series returns…Logan spent two years paying for the mistakes he made. Now, he’s ready to start over. He has a great apartment, a good job, and plenty of women to distract him from his past. And one woman who is driving him to distraction…Grace escaped her manipulative family by moving to a new city. Her new life, made to suit her own needs, is almost perfect. All she needs to do is find her Mr. Right—or at least figure out a way to ignore her irresistible yet annoying womanizer of a neighbor. Grace is determined to have nothing to do with Logan until a life-changing surprise slowly begins turning the wild heartbreaker into exactly the kind of strong, stable man she’s been searching for. Only just when she begins to give into his charms, her own messy past threatens to derail everything they’ve worked to build…

Moonlight on Nightingale Way the sixth novel in Samantha Young’s On Dublin Street series finally gives us Logan’s story and despite flaws the man made my heart melt.  Touching, sexy and full of healing, love, and family Young delivered all the elements that make her stories and characters memorable.

Coffee dates with Moonlight on Nightingale Way

  • First Date: Ooo we begin with wicked banter and snark. I am dancing a little I love these hater begins, it leads to heat. Logan is drop dead gorgeous and I’ve been waiting for his story. Since I have known him since Echoes of Scotland Street, I am willing to ignore his man-whore ways on our first date. I know what lies beneath and I am not talking about his killer abs. Logan is starting over and life looks good. He has a good paying job, has paid for his mistakes and it totally making up for lost time with all sorts of extracurricular activity. All of which has cast him in a bad light with his sexy, uptight neighbor Grace. Grace is normally soft-spoken but her new neighbor has her verbally sparing with him. I am hooked folks. Hooked! These two are destined to dance and it is going to be wicked.
  • Second Date: Life is about to throw Logan a curve-ball and somehow Grace finds herself assisting him and the more Logan steps up the harder Grace falls. I will not tell you what the curveball is because well, spoilers’ darling. I will tell you it is sweet, complicated, and wonderful. If I had a soft spot for Logan before I am a puddle on the floor at this point. I love the friendship that begins to develop between Logan and Grace. It feels natural and allows them to really see the other. The complication adds interest, awe moments and stole my heart. We get some heat and it was deliciously hot.
  • Third date: Fear, the past, and emotional scars have these two tip toeing around their feelings. Trust is a major factor and we have to go through some growing pains. I loved the reasons Logan stepped back and totally respect them but dang if I was not reaching for truffles and flipping pages hoping things worked out. I want to pause in my date to mention I love that this relationship is slow building and that friends and family are weaved into the tale. I love these characters and never want my date to end.

Final thoughts on my dates with Moonlight on Nightingale Way: I love that the tale takes us to a good place but does not wrap up everything in a rushed knotted bow. Young does give us an epilogue giving us updates on all the coupes and family of On Dublin Street including Grace and Logan. Fans of closed ending will be satisfied.

I can’t wait to start on this series, a friend who adores the series has lent them to me!

  2. Lorna

I have been tempted in the past to read On Dublin Street but for some reason I just didn’t. Each can be stand alone right? I think its going on my wish list. Thanks!

    • kimbacaffeinate

Yes, while the secondary characters stories have been told, each book focuses on one couple and the author does a pretty darn good job of giving you backstory.

  3. Mary

There’s just something about wit and snark, you know? You can practically see those sparks flying.

  4. Tash

I’m not ready to say goodbye to this series. I have being putting off reading this book because of this and totally forget it was releasing this week. This series has fond memories and I’m totally hoping that she has new series soon.

    • kimbacaffeinate

Me too Tash, but I am curious to see what her next adult series will be

    • kimbacaffeinate

Enjoy Sharon I am sad to see this series come to an end but loved Logan’s story.

  5. Braine Talk Supe

This series is going so strong! I’m still on the edge if it’s for me, but I admit I am very curious. The books can be read as standalone right?

    • kimbacaffeinate

and it’s over Braine, this was the last book of the series. I am curious to see what her next adult series will be about.

  6. Stormi

This sounds like a good one! Samantha Young has been on my TBR for awhile and I’m really looking forward to reading this one!

  11. Ramona

Ooh, I smell big fictional crush, Kimba dear :))) Naughty! I have to say, I’m dying to “meet” this Mr. Logan myself now. I’ll check out the series 🙂

    • kimbacaffeinate

LOL, yeah he is a sweetie who made a huge mistake in the name of love and seeing him finally get his story was lovely.

  12. Ro

Thank goodness these can all be standalones because I want to know more and may not go in order. (lol) I like that this couple took the time to become friends and to build the relationship. Those seem to be much more lasting and rewarding. Great review! Hugs…Ro

    • kimbacaffeinate

Yeah this one was delicious, and yep read them out of order if ya want

  13. Michelle

I read Dublin Street, but wasn’t overly fond of it…but I did like her writing. I might have to pick up another one in this series. Glad you enjoyed it!

This was one of my favorites of the series Michelle.

  14. Benish

I haven’t even read one book of this series yet, it’s in my TBR though, I’m glad they work as standalones. Awesome review as always Kimba.

    • kimbacaffeinate

No time like the present as the series is done and you can read them back to back 🙂

  17. Debbie Haupt

Great review, Kim. I LOVE SNARK, banter, sexy tete-a-tete, or whatever you want to call it. And I haven’t read this series or this author so it looks like a great new adventure for me will begin 😉

    • kimbacaffeinate

The books all work as standalone too Debbie, so enjoy!

  18. Sophia Rose

This is another series I need to pounce on. I’d ask if it could standalone, but you mentioned that he was introduced earlier in the series. Fun review, Kimberly!

    • kimbacaffeinate

Even though he was introduced early on, all of her books in this series work as standalone.

  19. Laurel-Rain Snow

The setting sounds lovely…and I am always intrigued by the kind of story that has “wicked banter and snark.” Thanks for sharing!

  20. kindlemom1

I absolutely loved the first book and the novella that came after so I’m so glad this series is still strong after six books!

    • kimbacaffeinate

This was fun, I loved the haters to lovers thing going on Ali

  21. Nick

I’m currently reading this one, Kim and I’m loving it!! The sexual tension is off the charts and I love the banter so much. And of course Logan and Grace are wonderful! I can’t wait to read more. I’m so happy you loved this. 🙂

    • kimbacaffeinate

Isn’t the banter fantastic..I laughed so hard

    • kimbacaffeinate

These will all work as standalone Quinn. It happens, even with some of my favorite authors

  22. Jenny

WOO HOO!!! I really loved this one too Kim, Logan and Grace were such an outstanding couple. I also liked how things fell apart for them fairly early on, it took some of the stress away for me because then we had the whole rest of the time for them to work everything out. I couldn’t love Samantha Young’s books more:) Fantastic review!

    • kimbacaffeinate

I loved the banter and witty comments in the beginning it hooked me!

  23. Bea

Yay for character growth! While the series as a whole appeals to me, does this work as a stand-alone or do I need to read in order?

    • kimbacaffeinate

While it is always nice to have connection to secondary characters each of these books focuses on one couple, and Young does an excellent job of filling you in so these totally work as standalone Bea.

    • kimbacaffeinate

My thoughts exactly, and I like that despite the character connections each book works as a standalone

    • kimbacaffeinate

I love when a book sucks you in and makes you laugh and sigh.

  24. Lover Of Romance

Great review!! I do love seeing character growth in books…and I do enjoy this author, so I can’t wait to get my hands on this one.

  25. Melliane

It sounds lieka really good and beautiful story. I haven’t tried a book by the author yet but everything is loving them. I really should try!!!!

    • kimbacaffeinate

It was Melliane, and so nice to finally get his story
