The third and final story in a thrilling e-novella about a psychic medium, from award-winning and New York Times bestselling author Lisa Unger. When Eloise's granddaughter, twenty-year-old Finley, comes to live with her, Eloise's abilities start to change--things seem to be getting easier. Her load is lighter, and rather than chasing down people she needs, they are coming to her. She teams up with detective Jones Cooper to help a desperate father bring his daughter's killer to justice. Meanwhile, Finley, who is developing gifts of her own, has bigger problems than she's willing to admit. Will Eloise help Finley and others see the difference between justice and revenge, or will things spiral out of control first?

The Three Sisters is the final Whispers novella by Lisa Unger and one I enjoyed despite wanting more, more, more. Mysterious apparitions, souls in need and time spent getting to know Finley, Eloise’s granddaughter was fun, and I easily consumed this.

The three sisters themselves were fascinating, and affected both Finley and Eloise. I gobbled up any tidbits that were offered about them. It was interesting to see Eloise piece things together about a woman dressed in black stomping about her hallways. Another case involving a girl who drowned was interesting as well. There are time gaps between books, but we see tremendous growth in the character and see hints of the timeline she shares with detective, Jones Cooper.

While The Three Sisters and the Whispers trilogy left me wishing, they were fully developed books I did find a new author and I am super curious to know if the Burning Girl appears in the series that inspired this trilogy. I will be adding more to my pile.

I read Beautiful Lies back in 2008 and haven’t picked up anything of hers since … must get back to her as I did enjoy her writing.

I just read her soon to be released Crazy Love You..it was so good. She can really spin a tale

I love Lisa Unger, her prose is refreshingly different. I’m not a fan of novellas but I’d read all three together. Love that these have introduced you to Lisa’s potential 🙂

I just finished Crazy Love You recently and adore her writing style Trish

I did, but wanted more from it. However I just finished her newest book Crazy Love You and it was a twisted tale. The main character is a graphic arts novelist.

Novellas usually leave me wanting more, especially if it’s written well! I do like Lisa Unger, though I haven’t read any of her novellas.

Agreed, the first novella was the strongest, I am not sure I agree with the time frame she chose on these..however I like her writing and just finished Crazy Love You and it was so creepy good

I just finally started to read books with psychics in this year. I’ll have to check these out. Novella-length stories can be an iffy thing for me b/c of the development issue.

I would try the actual series where this character aids the police.
