3rd Jan

Take Control of Your TBR pile is back for its third year and I couldn’t be more excited. Take Control was a blast last year and many of you made space on your shelves for new books. Let’s do it again! The rules are simple. For the month of March you ditch the ARC’s and read books in your TBR pile released before March 1, 2015. They can be eBooks, physical books or audiobooks. Let’s clean off those shelves, finish those series and trilogies and have some fun doing it. Once again I will provide motivation with a grand prize of a new book release of your choice.

wahoo. Glad you are in Bea. I am thinking the read-a-thon will be around the ides of March 🙂

  1. Christine

I’m trying to make 2015 the year I mostly read from my shelves — I’ve cut myself off from review copies and I will still use the library, but want to have a better ratio of books borrowed vs. books from my shelves. This will be a great challenge to go along with the year long “Show Your Shelves Some Love Challenge” I am doing — I’ll officially sign up when it gets a bit closer though 🙂

  2. Terri

What a great idea! I don’t have any commitments for March yet, so this will give me the perfect opportunity to work on my TBR piles. Thank you!

I love this challenge. I had to stop all together with my TBR list because I had been doing so much writing and not enough reading. Luckily, on vacation I was able to knock out a lot of books and feel like it’s finally under control and I can add to it again.

So novella’s are out. What about graphic novels or middle grade books? Or nonfiction?

    • kimbacaffeinate

Hi Jamie, I would say if the have 100 pages or more then yes those will be fine.

  9. Sarah

Woohooo I am READY for this challenge! (I think, lol) Now to make a shelf on goodreads and dust off the books that have been piling up by my bed for months. I am not even close to ready to clean out the ones living under my bed though lol Planning to read five books for the challenge, but by the end of the month I hope to have read a bunch more!

My plan is to attack last books in series that are unread first, then go forth from there:) Good luck!

You are not alone-we all have piles. Good luck Yuska!

  12. Elsi

I have now uploaded a “starting position” post to my blog with a short list of books I want to read this month. I actually started reading one of those books late in the afternoon on the 28th of February. I don’t know if that counts toward the challenge or not, but when it was time to pick a book to read, I just grabbed one of my TBRs.
