On a warm summer morning in North Carthage, Missouri, it is Nick and Amy Dunne’s fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick’s clever and beautiful wife disappears. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn’t doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams about the slope and shape of his wife’s head, but passages from Amy's diary reveal the alpha-girl perfectionist could have put anyone dangerously on edge. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media—as well as Amy’s fiercely doting parents—the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he’s definitely bitter—but is he really a killer?

I actually just saw the preview to this yesterday and my jaw literally dropped! I’ve been seeing this book all over town, but had no idea what it was about. This is one of those times when I realize how bad it is when I dismiss books bc of their cover and genre. I just thought, oh probably just another adult murder mystery..eh. Then I read the blurb, and was like whoa! Saw the trailer, double whoa, haha. So I definitely wanna read the book AND see the movie. I don’t particularly care which order, either lol. 🙂
    Thanks Kim!

I liked the book but I didn’t really love it. I do however want to see the movie because I heard they changed the ending and since I hated the book ending I want to see what they did. Anyway, I’m hoping to make a trip to the theaters to see this one. How interesting they created a pinterest! I always find it cool when tv/movie characters have real things on the internet, like their blog is really online not just mentioned in the show, etc.

I loved and hated it in a good way. I thought it was clever and I am anxious to see how it is on the big screen.

Oh that’s clever, a pinterest board! I wonder if they’ll talk about it in the movie as well!

I’m still very curious as to how this will translate from book to movie!
