New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author Bella Andre brings you a new set of Sullivans to fall in love with… As a very successful private investigator who has caught many a cheater, Rafe Sullivan believes true, lasting love only happens once in a blue moon. But when he returns to the family lake house, the sweet girl next door is all grown up…and she may be just the one to change his mind. While Brooke Jansen is happy with her quiet, small-town life, she secretly longs to experience something wild. So when her favorite "Wild Sullivan" moves back after more than a decade away, she can't stop wondering if being bad is really as good as it always seemed…and just how long it will be before she can find out. It's not long before a summer fling spirals into something much deeper. Can Rafe put his faith in love for once, or will he end up losing the best thing that's ever happened to him?

New Sullivans’ to love ..Woot!  The Way You Look Tonight by Bella Andre is the ninth book in the Sullivans series, and it is all about their Seattle cousins. I was a tad nervous about meeting them and hoped I would get the same feels I did with the previous characters. I should not have been worried at all; in fact, it seems that each new book in the series becomes a favorite! The Way You Look Tonight was sweet, sexy, playful and the perfect evening escape.

Coffee Dates with The Way You Look Tonight:

First Date: We meet Rafe Sullivan a successful PI who owns a company and staff that is respected for their investigative work, sadly he has a reputation for finding the dirt on cheating spouses and it has left him a little jaded. His sister Mia’s been worried about him, especially after his injury last year. When the families’ old beach house comes up for sale, Mia convinces him to buy it, and fix it up this summer. Rafe does exactly that. He rides his bike out to the cabin and right away, our next date has me excited!

Second date: An older couple, whose granddaughter Brook, visited every summer owned the cabin next door. When Rafe spots Brooke Jansen walking up from the beach in a barely there bathing suit his eyes pop right out of his head. The sexual attraction between these two is electric, and a storm is a coming. The more I read about Rafe, the sexier he becomes, but Brook… Brook I love! Did I mention she makes sinfully delicious chocolates? The descriptions had me drooling. I so want to be her BFF! I was not sure if I wanted more scenes making chocolate or wanted some sizzling romantic scenes.

Third Date: Hmm, I thought I was in for some BDSM; however, this is vanilla my friends. Hot but vanilla with mild kink. Rafe is falling hard, but it scares him. Nothing last forever, right? We get a little drama, but I like the way Andre handled it and there were a few, Awe moments to make you smile like a fool. We meet the other siblings Ian an architect and Mia a real estate agent. I already adore Mia and cannot wait for her story.

Dates with The Way You Look Tonight were fun. Andre always makes me smile from her colorful characters to the fast pace she sets. Book 10, Kissing Under the Mistletoe is Mary Sullivan’s love story, and then we are back in Seattle with Mia in It Must Be Your Love, followed by Just To Be With You, Ian’s story.

  1. kim { Book Swoon }

I’ve never read Bella Andre before, but I’m trying to read a few more contemps and broaden my reading views (plus they have hot romances-lol) and this sounds like a great author to try. Rafe is such a yummy name 🙂

  2. Kristin

Oh, man… I love the name Rafe! And I like the story about a guy who seen nothing but the bad side of love who gets a break from that world to chill at a summer cottage – heaven!!! That’s some mighty fine dating with Bella!!! 🙂

  3. Sharlene Wegner

I haven’t read the whole series yet, but I did actually read this one for a book club. Really good!

    • kimbacaffeinate

Oh so glad you read this, and they work as standalone. I hope you get to read them all Sharlene 🙂

  4. Mary

You know, I’ve never read a Belle Andre romance. But I love that the more time you spend with the characters (Rafe!), the better you like them. That’s always a good sign!

  5. Tanja

I have heard so much about the Sullivans that I really need to meet them one day. I like the sound of this one and I’m actually happy that there is no BDSM there. Glass won’t be though 😀 Great review, Kim 🙂

    • kimbacaffeinate

Thanks Tanja, I love this series and hope you try them.

  6. Fahima

Oh, I do love your new reviewing formats – the three dates and the coffees! Very innovative 🙂 I’ve never read any of Bella Andre’s books, but I’ve heard a lot about them from a several people, so I really should get down to them one day. Someday soon, definitely…

    • kimbacaffeinate

Thanks Fahima, you will find I use several different formats, and this one is fun for a romance.

    • kimbacaffeinate

Exactly Braine, and it kind of led you like it was going there..but I still enjoyed the ride.

    • kimbacaffeinate

Enjoy Debbie..the Seattle cousins are a fantastic new addition

  7. Jenea

I am glad that the cousins were just as great as the other Sullivans. This sounds soo good and Brook does sounds amazing. Great review.

  8. Rita

Happy to hear that you enjoyed this one so much. I was surprised to find your name and The Sullivans coming up in the same sentence on more than one blog recently. Apparently you have gotten others hooked on this series or at least to buy a couple. (I know it was you, how many Kimbas do I know in this blogosphere!)
Okay, as people who know me have heard, I’m not a huge romance reader because I am so nit-picky about what it can, and can’t, have to make me want to read it, but I am now putting the first Bella Andre on my library list and going to look for it next time I visit So, thanks!

    • kimbacaffeinate

Oh you have made me grin like the Cheshire cat..I am so excited to hear others are picking it up. I do love this series. If you like small town feels and family then you might like these. The romances can be a little insta-lovey but Andre always makes me believe and I swallow the pill.

  9. Quinn

This is my favorite Bella Andre book I’ve read so far. I always enjoy them, but I am also never MADLY in love. But this is my favorite, and I’m sure I will be reading more. I love books with big families!

    • kimbacaffeinate

Yay, I am glad you loved it so much. Me I am easy I swoon over them all. Not sure which Sullivan was my favorite…

    • kimbacaffeinate

What?!? I am surprised since I know how much you love the Sullivans.

  10. Katherine

I own at least 1 or 2 of this series because of you and I can’t WAIT to read this one! Fixing up an old beach house and a chocolate maker? So in!

  11. Nick

You know what I’m going to do one of these days, Kim? I’m going to plan out an entire month to read books by your favorite contemporary authors and it’s probably not going to be enough, but at least I could get a start. Maybe once I’m done with some of my ARCs for this year, I will do that.
I love that this author always manages to make you smile, swoon and laugh with her characters. I have the first book in this series and I have yet to read it. Obviously, I fail.
    Lovely review, Kim!

    • kimbacaffeinate

Oh I like it Nick. Hmm just one book..you could do it and I could watch your tbr pile grow and grow. 🙂

  12. Red Iza

I have one of her novels, “One perfect night”, your review makes me want to push it up my list 😉

  13. Melliane

Oh book 9? that’s a lot and seeing that it’s still good it makes me want to try. And well I’m happy if it’s not BDSM, I prefer it softer. thanks for the review!

  14. Rashika

I actually haven’t read a single book by this author in spite of all the good things I’ve heard about her but YUMM food references (well chocolate). I love me a book that references yummy things! 😀

I am glad you enjoyed this one, Kimba! 🙂

    Great review!!

    • kimbacaffeinate

Ooo the chocolate..it was ridiculously yummy sounding.

  15. Maja (The Nocturnal Library)

A sweet vanilla romance, some great awww moments, not too much drama and what little there is handled well… Honestly, what’s not to like? I really like the sound of this series, although I’m a bit intimidated by the number of books published.

    • kimbacaffeinate

Thankfully while each is about one Sullivan they all work beautifully as standalone

  16. Silvia

I haven’t read her books yet, but I’m really curious to try some titles. Glad you had a good time with this instalment, Kimberly! 🙂

    • kimbacaffeinate

Thanks Silvia, I honestly have enjoyed every book in the series.
