Sunday Post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted here @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead. See rules here: Sunday Post Meme

Remember last week, how I said I didn’t get a lot of reading done in June? Well, apparently I read 19 books. I think because I was so busy with wedding plans I didn’t realize. Granted I read more books in the beginning of the June then the last two weeks, so that may account for my dire predictions. I am looking for some guest bloggers in September from the 25 to 30th. Come share a favorite recipe & book,  favorite novel, review, tip, movies etc. I would need your post by Sept. 15th and would include a mini spotlight & links to your blog. Have an interesting post idea? Contact Me. As always….Stay Caffeinated 🙂

    • kimbacaffeinate

LOL, I haven’t had a 20+ month in a long time. I hope you like Owens!

  1. Berls

Wow 19 books in one month is quite the accomplishment! I know you blast through them way faster than I do, but still! Here’s hoping the wedding planning doesn’t keep you away from your books too much. Have a great week Kimba 🙂

Yeah I can read a typical paperback in 3 hours, unless it is high fantasy or complex.

Thanks Greg, I will be sad to see the long weekend come to an end.

Thanks Karina, Things are going good for the wedding preparations, so I am fairly relaxed *for now*

    • kimbacaffeinate

Honestly I don’t know how I read that much..nerves maybe?

    • kimbacaffeinate

My hubby is the slowest reader I know, it took him a year to read the final Potter book..LOL

  3. Michelle

19 books is amazing! I was hoping to read more in June and I thought I did but I have been so slow lately just can’t seem to find the time to sit relax and read 🙂 I hope you have a great week Kim!

Thanks Tanja, I started adding review posts for September already but thought it would be fun to spotlight other blogs the week of the wedding. It’s a great opportunity for them and relives some of the pressure for me..win-win.

  5. Kacii

Oooooh guest post, eh? I would be down for that. Hmm, but interesting ideas? I may have to brainstorm a bit. And I see you got Beautiful Oblivion 🙂 It’s on my TBR. I just have so many freebies and ARC’s right now. Prioritze, prioritize, prioritize… Well, I hope you have a good week!

  6. Rashika

I would have loved to help chip in for that time period but I cannot :(. But seriously, I am sure there will be many fabulous posts for that time period! 🙂

19 books is actually a lot considering you didn’t have as much time as you would have liked… I still need to check how many books I’ve read this month .-.

Anyway I hope you have a great week and a great month (you’ll probably be very busy with the planning though :P)

    Happy reading, Kimba! 🙂

  7. Quinn

I am definitely curious about Beautiful Oblivion. Sometimes all the drama in Jamie McGuire’s books get to be a much for me, but at the same time I never can put her books down.

  10. Kathy

Wow, you read a lot of books last month! It’s good with how busy you have been you were able to have some time to read. The guest post in September sounds like fun, I’ll have to see if I can participate. I saw Maplecroft on a Goodreads giveaway & I remember watching the Lizzy Borden movie with Elizabeth Montgomery when I was a kid. It scared me lol. But I’m curious about this book so I added it on my TBR. I’m looking forward to your review. Have a great week!!

Oh so good to hear that Jen..I am looking forward to reading it 🙂

  17. Ann M. Noser

I’d love to guest post on the topic of “how to get your kids to read”.
For example, my son was having some troubles with reading at school. One thing I did was to purchase a pile of SUPER HERO books slightly above his reading level. Then I kept putting off reading them to him, with the excuse of: “You can read them anytime you want to on your own. I know you can do it.”
Of course, I made sure I remained nearby so he could ask me any questions he wanted. Sure enough, after a day or two of whining, he set to work…and hasn’t stopped since. He no longer needs extra help at school, and devours books on a daily basis. 🙂
All he needed was the right motivation. And a tricky, maybe slightly evil, Mom. 🙂

Great topic Ann, I filled all of the slots, but I have a new feature beginning in January that I am not yet ready to announce. It will be something I do two Saturdays a month, and would love to have you guest post then if you are still interested. Can I contact you in December?

  20. April

I haven’t ever read a Cherie Priest book, she’s one of those authors that has a lot of books that look interesting and that I plan to check out “one of these days” bahah

Ghost Layer looks really really good! I’m going to have to check that out on goodreads and perhaps add it to the wishlist.. 😀

19 books isn’t a bad month at all, especially with all you’ve been doing!
