Sunday Post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted here @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead. See rules here: Sunday Post Meme

This was a week of nightmares. It began with Mother’s Day and I had a wonderful day with my family, but a tickle in my throat that started on Saturday turned into something ugly by Monday morning. My plans for Rest & Reading were quickly forgotten. On Tuesday I was diagnosed with bacterial pneumonia and spent most of the week in a medicated nightmare of sleep, coughing fits and generally feeling incredibly sorry for myself.  While I am improving, I have zero energy, frequent headaches and find it hard to read for any length of time. I have watched all the reruns of Criminal Minds, Castle and NCIS . I have been reading in short spurts but even that has been limited. I want to thank everyone who has stopped by this week, commented, and uplifted my posts. You all rock and I adore you. I will continue to try and visit a few blogs each day.

Sorry you’re not doing so well, I hope you feel better soon. I know how bad it sucks to have pneumonia. I hope this week is better for you. Get lots of rest, read and have other people take care of you 🙂

I am sorry you don’t feel good. I remember my mom has pneumonia once and it was terrible. She was very sick. I just learned too last year it’s contagious right???? Yikes. I hope you get to feeling much better next week.

Man – that’s horrible!! I saw you tweet that you were sick, but I didn’t dream it was that bad. Pneumonia is the WORST and I hate when I’m so sick that I can’t even take advantage of the bed time to read. Rest up my friend, we miss you! And congrats on the nomination, well deserved! OH- And thanks for the post mention!!

I’m sorry you’ve been sick! Trust me, I know what it’s like, I’ve been in the hospital two times in the last few months. But I always watch Castle and NCIS when I’m sick too, so that’s a great way to pass the time!
I hope you feel better soon!

A Pneumonia is not to be taken lightly, I guess you have antibiotics? If it is not better in a few days or you can’t see an improvement, get back to the doctors!

Yuck! That does sound horrible. Not being able to read – especially if you’re in a good book which be a major bummer. Sure hope you feel better soon! On the other hand having a week to get caught up on much loved shows is a bonus too. 😉

So sorry to hear you are sick. I had strep throat about a month ago and it totally knocked me out. I couldn’t concentrate, read, blog, or do anything really. Doesn’t it suck when illness knocks us on our butts like that?! I hope you feel better very soon and wish you a speedy (but relaxing) recovery!

Oh my goodness! I know you told us over at the blog that you were sick but I didn’t realize it was that bad! 🙁 I hope you feel better now Kimba! Don’t worry about visiting and commenting on other blogs for now, your health is waaaay more important!

    Get well soon, Kimba.

Thanks for sharing the link about creating a Blogger template. I’m going to give that shot for when I’m away from my laptop and need to create a post on the fly from another computer. I had no idea Blogger had that feature!

I’m so sorry you’ve been sick! I’m glad you’re on the mend and I hope you kick those headaches to the curb so you can back to reading. I think Yahoo fixed something in the email because yesterday I finally started getting updates from many blogs including yours. I think I may still need to start using bloglovin’, but right now I’m just trying to get my May stuff done. Almost there! *thumbs up* {{{posivibes}}} for full a recovery, like, yesterday.

So sorry you aren’t feeling well. I had that back in high school & it does take awhile to get back your energy. Maybe a little fresh air will help brighten your spirits.

  16. Jaime

I’m sorry you had such a rough week. Glad to hear that you are getting some rest. Mystery shows are always good for a distraction, especially Criminal Minds. My go-to show for when I’m too sick to focus or lift my head much is Psych. Funny and entertaining.

I love the new layout, btw.

You’ve been in my prayers since I heard you were sick. I hope you feel better soon, my friend. Everyone is right — rest and recuperate and don’t worry about commenting and such right now. Your health comes first! We’re all rooting for you to get well soon.

PS. Enjoy the new Jayne Castle! I can’t wait to read it… but I’ll have to wait ’til it comes out.

Wow Kimba, I didn’t know you were so sick! I am sorry you feel so badly and hope your rest and medication do the trick. Don’t worry about reading if you can’t concentrate well- your TBR pile will be waiting for you when you get back to it 🙂 Here’s to a better week!

Awwwwww….I am so very sorry you are not feeling well. I was like that last week and the week before. During times like this you are entitled to feel sorry for yourself. Pneumonia takes a lot out of you, so continue to get plenty of rest, drink loads of water and orange juice and read really, really, really great books!

Awww pneumonia sucks SO bad! I know from very very personal experience 🙁

If you’re looking for a GREAT new show to watch, try Orphan Black, it grabs you from the very first show and doesn’t let go! It’s on BBC America (but it’s on it’s second season) you can get the first season for free if you sign up for a free trial of Amazon Prime (or already have it) 🙂 I binge watched it in like two days!

Hope you feel better soon, I know what it’s like to be so sick you can’t even read, it is no fun at all. Hope you get the R&R you deserve ASAP! <3

So sorry to hear you’re sick! Get lots and lots of rest so that you feel better soon. You may want to lay off the Criminal Minds especially right before any medicated sleep – that can lead to some WEIRD dreams! Feel better!

I hope you are back to feeling like yourself again. I am very late to the game getting around to everyone too. RT totally threw me off my game and now my posts are suffering. Was not prepared for the time off. I tried to go vote for you at that JKS Book Bloggies but I got lost, so I just gave up. I hope you win though!
